  1. I got high at work. Went up on the rooftop to replace the flag. I have to use a 125ft boom lift to get all the way up there. At least I have a nice view when I am up that high.
  2. We do this at my house as well. Adams APC diluted 1:1 is used for cleaning the stove, kitchen counters, the bathtub and shower, and a bunch of other stuff too. It's like 409 on steroids! And it actually smells far better than most household cleaner was well.
  3. Ha! Basically the SAME thing happened to me! I had an old red Goodyear hose that I got for free from a former employer. It had a leak but I easily patched it with a brass splice kit, and that hose served me well for many many years. I simply forgot it there when I moved. But a guy I know swears by that Dap Flex hose. He said they make two versions, one is cheap green hose with plastic fittings and the "pro" version is black with brass fittings. He is the fire sprinkler contractor that services the system at my work, and he has to bring a hose with him to each jobsite. I personally have never used one, and I have read on ton if horrible reviews about them, yet this guy swears by them. I think he mainly likes them because they are so lightweight and easy to carry.
  4. Just by looking at the pictures on their website, it looks "cheap" in my opinion. Especially the pictures where they did the wall/backsplash in this stuff, it gives the appearance of laminate. If you want granite, then get granite. Don't get some coating over your existing counter tops. I would just do granite tops and a coordinating tile backsplash to give it a more modern look.!
  5. Just a thought... When washing with the rinseless wash, what would happen if I simply added some HGG to the rinseless wash? Could I theoretically wash and seal the vehicle at the same time?? Or would they actually end up working against each other?
  6. Goo Gone, Goof Off, Alchohol, or a towel soaked in hand sanitizer ( the gel, not foaming type). I was able to remove Sharpie from my kitchen cabinets with a towel and hand sanitizer. But my daughter also made Sharpie marks on the white furniture in her bedroom. The only thing that touched that was the Goof Off. But it DID take the gloss off, or at least some of the gloss. So be careful if it has any glossy clear coating or anything on it. IMO, a dull spot looks a lot better than black Sharpie marks though.
  7. I have mostly DeWalts at work. (I work in Facities Maintenance) I would LOVE to invest in a few of the new 20v lithium drills, but I already have a 18v grinder, numerous 18v drills, an 18v trim saw, circular saw, and reciprocating saw. Then I have a 5 1/4" impact drivers (which are a BEAST for driving screws and lags) and 2- 1/2 cordless impact wrenches and a 3/8 impact wrench. It would be too confusing to buy any more new tow that use a different battery. Then my guys would be trying to hunt down the correct battery for that tool. Right now I have a shelf in the shop with 8 battery chargers all charging 18v batteries. And I think I have well over a dozen batteries all together. Every time Lowes has the 18v twin pack of batteries on sale I grab at least one or two to add to our arsenal.
  8. If I wash weekly or bi-weekly, I can get away with the same bucket of car shampoo that I wash the rest of the car with. I just use an old MF towel with some of the car wash soap set aside into a small container, usually an old margarine tub. I used to have a 1.5 gallon bucket that I used exclusively for wheels, but it came up missing one day after leaving it outside. Not sure if someone stole it or if my wife threw it away (she is bad about throwing my stuff away if I leave it out everywhere, we get in arguments about this all the time!) If it gets dirtier than a bucket of soapy water can handle, then I will use a spray bottle with APC mixed 1:1, which is what I ways clean my tires with anyways. I will just spray the entire wheel instead of just the tire. I have actually only used the deep wheel cleaner one time. To me, it's pointless because my wheels never get that dirty. Even as dirty as the wheel get on my wife's Altima between washes, the APC has no problem getting them clean. I have been told that APC will strip sealant, but I don't put any wax or sealant on my wheels. I got a can of quick sealant on my last order, but I have yet to try it.
  9. Dylan is this similar to the "Hydro-Seal" that you were developing when you were with that other company for a while? I'm assuming it's actually much better. I have been wanting to try the hydro seal for a while but I refused to give that company my business. SOOOO glad you guys finally released this!!
  10. I know Adams doesn't like to condone the practice of buying Chinese crap, but the Harbor Freight DA polisher is a decent starter machine for what it costs. I have one and it suits me just fine. But I have only used it twice so far. If a polisher isn't in the budget right now, I would at least get the HF machine until a Flex or Cyclo is in your budget. Like others have already mentioned, find you a 20% off coupon and you should be able to pick one up for around $50
  11. I was using that Meguiars Gold class stuff and I thought it was the best. But then I actually became more educated about detailing products.
  12. Sadly, I was like this before I discovered Adams. I bought what I "thought" was the best stuff at the time. I was using the consumer grade Meguiars stuff from the auto parts stores, and the cheap dollar store microfiber towels and wash mitts. The very first time I tried Adams products I was amazed and I immediately thought "WTF have I been using that CRAP for all these years?? Where have you been all my life Adams?!" Ever since that day, I have been purchasing 98% of my detailing supplies from Adams.
  13. I wonder if this recipe will work in the new Adams foam guns.
  14. I had a bottle of SVRT turn from a cream to a very runny liquid because it was exposed to triple digit temps in my storage shed in the summer. I don't have a garage, I have a small storage shed/ storage room attached to the back of my house that I store tools and lawn equipment in. I stored my detailing supplies in there too until I learned that they can be affected by temperature extremes. I now keep them in my living room behind the couch in plastic storage bins. I have the couches about two feet from the walls because they have built in recliners. The storage totes tuck nicely behind the couches on the floor and do not affect the recliner movement
  15. I wish there was an option for a foaming sprayer . I love using a foaming sprayer when cleaning my tires. Yes, it does use more product, but it clings to the tires better. I really liked the one that came with my 36oz bottle of APC. I am currently using one made by Tolco that just work "ok". I think the Adams one put out a thicker foam.
