  1. Got a C5 here at the shop two days ago. It's a 2000 that has seen some better days! Did a full exterior & interior detail!

While I wanted a TON more pictures to show the after of this car.. There is a slight problem. When I put the key in the ignition, there was a steering column error message, which was accompanied by a 2mph fuel shut off. SO, I can't take the car out of the garage for some good pictures... -_-  Thankfully, I have a 60th anniversary C6 that I get to detail this weekend as well.. Will have PLENTY of pictures of that guy

    After pictures..:

  2. Hi everyone.I am about to embark on purchasing a porter cable DA polisher. The reason I would like to have this is because it would most likely make applying and removing wax a little bit easier...

First off what pads do I use to apply wax and which wax am I to use?? I have buttery wax and Americana wax...

And which pad do I use to remove the wax????

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated...

Jimi!  Not only will it make applying wax easier, it will allow you to FULLY detail your loved machines.

For applying our Liquid Paint Sealant and Buttery Wax, use the Machine Sealant and Wax Pad, like this: http://adamspolishes.com/adam-s-7-machine-sealant-waxing-pad.html.. Remember, a minimal amount is needed. Thin layers are better than one heavy layer!

Removing the wax should be done with a very plush microfiber towel, like our double softs or single softs.

I, and I'm sure many of the others here, would suggest applying Americana with the applicator that came in the jar.

Now to address which wax to use. That is up to preference. Some users like holding the Americana for their weekend cars, and use the Buttery for daily drivers, or use them on any car!

When apply, use the Paint Sealant first, then put the wax over that! Shine and protection will be on point  :2thumbs:

  3. E46s are my favorite! I cant wait to see it. What color is it?

You have some great advice already! Claying the paint is a must. After a year of no protection, I'm sure there is a little build up! After the clay, protect it with the Buttery, Liquid Paint Sealant or Americana until you can get your hands on a polisher to give it that full correction  :2thumbs:

  4. I tried this for the first time the other day. I'm impressed with the results. It seems no matter how hard I try to get the glass clean with Glass Cleaner, there's always some residue visible in certain lighting conditions. And it takes two cleanings with two towels, with the second cleaning using just a few drops of Glass Cleaner to get the residue left behind from the first cleaning. Using Brilliant Glaze on the inside left zero residue in any lighting conditions. It can't get any cleaner. And it worked in one very easy application and removal. I used a Blue Microfiber Application Pad for putting the glaze on, and a Blue Microfiber towel for removal. Works great!!

    Glad it worked out!

Do you have any tint/film on the inside of the windows?

  5. Just typed www.adamspolishes.com into Safari, on my iPhone and was taken to Google. When I selected the Adam's one the message read, "Page can not open in Safari".

This is so odd. I have been trying to force my computer/browsers to get this message. I have used Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Both in regular and "incognito" modes and still cant make it have that hiccup.. Im going to keep trying things to figure it out as well!

  6. When I was in high school i always wore Converse Chuck Taylor canvass tennis shoes.  Most of the time with out socks.  My mom made me leave them outside of a night as i thinking they were beginning to rot.  This was a yearly event.  Washing only helped a little.

Lol same deal with classic Vans! Cheap enough that I didn't mind what happened to them and can throw them away anytime..

A good buddy of mine rocks the Crocs sometimes. I still cant find myself to grabbing a pair :lolsmack:
