  1. I use a 4" pad for liquid paint sealant application with my GG on speed 2. Like Jason said the key is a THIN & even coat so I just hold lightly on the machine. For me personally it is a better method than hand application.
  2. From one who for several years used another line of products with success Adam's has from their polishes to the Americana paste wax a product line that cannot be beat. Add that to their premium customer service and you are using the best in the business, in my humble opinion.
  3. . I suppose so. I am not one to change brands when something I've been using works, but I have to say Adam's products have changed my mind.
  4. Up until recently I had been a Zaino product user and was pleased with the results. Lately I had been gradually adding and using Adam products as needed. Today marks the first time I used Adam's from polish to wax. My Lexus only needed the Finishing Polish to remove the light swirl marks on the 2010. Next I applied Liquid Paint Sealant. Both the Polish and Sealant were applied using a Griot's Garage using 4" foam pads. Next step was the Brillant Glaze which I applied by hand. After just receiving my order of the Americana wax it was applied by hand using the included pad putting on 2 thin coats. All buffing was with the Adam's white double side towels. Pics show the results with lots of reflections. Mirror finish was an understatement. It was blinding. Though I have some Zaino products left I am sold on Adam's products.
  5. Maybe it can be spread on thinly by hand. But comparing the 2 ways I've tried the machine method seems much more efficient. Now Glaze is another story. I find it easy to apply by hand. I'll save the LPS for my machine and use the Quick Sealant by hand.
  6. The description of the LPS says it can be applied by either hand or machine. On my wife's vehicle last week I used my machine and was able to distribute a nice thin and even pattern and it was easy to remove. Today I thought I would just do the hood of my car and opted to apply by hand. I had a hard time getting a thin layer and so areas had more sealant than others. Plus it was harder to remove ( probably from not applying it thin enough). It also appeared to leave light and dark streaks on the dark red metallic paint. I was able to rub them out however. If I do the remainder of the car it will be by machine or I will use Quick Sealant instead. I am still new to Adam products so still figuring out what works for me.
  7. I don't feel so bad now. When detailing my wife's vehicle I started on a small section of the hood using the white pad thinking I was using the Finishing Polish. When I got ready to add more I said to myself this pad sure looks dark..........I was applying Liquid Paint Sealant instead. Needless to say I had to re-prep the section before getting another clean white pad for the Finishing Polish.....I can blame this on old age not the color of the bottles. Live and learn.
  8. Not yet Michael. Just ordered Americana paste wax this weekend. I cannot see my car getting any better, but then again I never thought Glaze would give me the POP it has.
  9. I sprayed solution on the soiled areas then scrubbed with a stiff nylon brush. Then used a general purpose gray MF towel and patted and rubbed up excess moisture. Once dry I vacuumed. Adam's has a good video on its use.
  10. On my last order I got the carpet cleaner even though I just put new carpeted mats in my car. I did use it today on our light blue carpeted bath mat that was soiled from foot traffic. This stuff rocks. A must have item.
  11. Hope to try Americana wax next week for the first time which will take me completely through the circuit of wash, clay, polish, seal, glaze, and wax. Thanks Jason. Appreciate the feedback!
  12. Just used the Glaze for the first time this morning, but on my car. All I can say is WOW!
  13. I thought Liquid Paint Sealant was going to be my LSP until my order arrived earlier in the week that included Brilliant Glaze. All I say is there is a WOW factor after I applied the Glaze to my metallic red Lexus. Some on here say Glaze is not for them, but for this old man's eyes it POPS. Now I'm waiting on my order of Americana to arrive.
  14. No prob. I am 61 and have been detailing since I had my '72 Camaro RS back in the mid 1970's. But with new products on the market I am also still learning and picking up new tips.
  15. Hi Kris, Been addicted for several years, just changed product line to Adam's.
  16. Justin, HA! She was happy after the wash. Could have stopped there
  17. Yes, they cleaned up nicely. Reminded me of my Craiger Mags I had on my '72 Camaro RS. But I had to polish those. The sealant really added to the shine.
  18. Hey Beemer. Yes, I did the baggy test and a light finger drag and I would have clayed if I felt it needed it. I have been claying my vehicles for 5 years now and of course it would never hurt to have done it. Thanks for the reminder though.
  19. I can vouch for the helpful friendly folks. Welcome.
  20. I still have almost a full bottle of Zaino's tire dressing and it was applied with applicator pad. I hate wasting so I need to use it up before changing.
  21. Thanks Chris. Now that I finally got some Glaze I'm going to try it on my red Lexus. I only have it finished with sealant on it as of now. Oh, and yes, the Ameicana wax is on the way.
