  1. <-------- That is where my college student budget went.
  2. I'm surprised nothing kicked up on your vehicle paint.
  3. Welcome Kyle! From one Arkansan to another!
  4. When I get to the Glaze step I already have a clayed, polished, and sealed paint. I then apply the Glaze by hand and it goes on very effortlessly and buffs off just as easy. Maybe you are just having a hard time seeing the thin coat on the silver paint. My wife's Yukon is an off white so I don't even use Glaze on it though I could and it probably would make a difference. But I go with a LSP of liquid paint sealant and/or Americana and skip the Glaze on the light colored paint.
  5. Using Adam's Polishes with a dual action orbital machine will not damage your paint. My Lexus probably has one of the softest paints around. I use the Finishing Polish with a Griot's Garage 6" and 4" polishing machine without any fear of marring my paint. Use it with confidence.
  6. It's a personal choice, but for Liquid Paint Sealant I use a machine with 4" gray foam pad. Glaze and wax by hand.
  7. Personally, I would put a layer of Liquid Sealant, and/or Brilliant Glaze between the Polish and wax. The Sealant will provide longer protection than just the Buttery Wax by itself. The Glaze is an option. Polish > Sealant > Wax
  8. Nothing wrong with using Griot's DA orbital with Adam's Products. I'm impressed with ALL of Adam's Products and I'm the biggest skeptic out there. I'm not a professional detailer, so I'm satisfied with my GG machine's performance. But I'm sold on Adam's Products.
  9. That makes sense, but when levels get that low I just pour the remains into a new bottle.
  10. Jason is correct. My Lexus has soft paint and Adam's Finishing Polish was all that was needed to completely remove the swirls on my paint. I used a GG machine with 4" back plate with Adam's white foam pads. Finished it off with the Liquid Paint Sealant, Brilliant Glaze, and Americana wax. However for you to finish you need something on top of the polish as polish alone leaves zero protection. Sealant as a minimum.
  11. Anxious to try it sounds like great stuff.
  12. Yeppers! I prefer the 4" back plate for my GG and the Adam's foam pads. I believe Adam's sells a 4" back plate.
  13. I've tried a lot of paste waxes over my 61 years and by far the Americana is the easiest on/off I have used and I apply it by hand. Note: 2 thin coats are better than 1 heavy coat.
  14. ^^ What Eric said. Nothing wrong with having to clay an ares twice. I find I sometimes miss the areas where the hood meets the quarter panels right next to the seam, etc.
  15. Wait until you wash > clay > polish > sealant > glaze > Americana paste wax. Break out the sunglasses. If she LOVES a clean car with just detail spray you might want to be alone with her when you show her after my suggested sequence of steps. Just sayin'.
  16. American Graffiti is the movie...... And I would kill for that lift! Great job!
  17. Jeff, my Lexus has probably the softest paint (read easy to scratch and leave swirl marks) on any vehicle and I've used the Finishing Polish with a DA machine without any fear with great results. Try the Liquid Paint Sealant>Brilliant Glaze>Americana wax combination.
