  1. Welcome, Tyler. Considering that you have a Cyclo in your cart, that $600 isn't outrageous.
  2. Thanks for the bump as I would have never found this. I'm paying back a friend of mine who bailed me out of a tight jam with as close to something like this that I can manage. Fortunately not as big as an F350 (2007 Lexus RX350) with about 150K on the odometer. I just took a closer look at it and the headlights are my biggest worry. They are in bad shape. I'm planning on using a 4" focus on my drill with paint correction then finishing polishes. Think that will do the trick?
  3. Welcome! If you ever need something quicker than from CO, Eric at Thompson Racing is great! Pretty much matches every sale Adam's runs as well.
  4. ^^^agreed. I had one similar albeit not as wide. I was able to get enough out with a few passes of correcting polish in an orange foam pad. It wasn't perfect but considering what Ricky Bobby points out about that area on a DD, it was good enough. If nothing else, it is worth a shot before deciding to repaint.
  5. Welcome to the forums! Nice to have someone who mainly does other types of machinery.
  6. Dan, I rediscovered this thread during a 'critical' conference call this afternoon and read it from start to finish. As many have said, you are insane (in the good way). You should start a blog on here and I would bet it would be one of the top 'hits' daily on these forums. Like Jake, this made me laugh. Might be the best line in this entire thread. Bravo, sir!
  7. Nice work. Hopefully, his wife's car isn't in too bad of shape either.
  8. Can't wait to read the replies on this. I'm currently using a PC that I got for a great price on eBay. I was all set to go with a Cyclo when I found it but after doing more reading and Adams now selling the Flex, I'm not so sure. My PC has been great but it is rough on the hands and I would like to relegate it to a 4" tight spot machine.
  9. 1. Has to be washing. One, because I get to do it more often than anything else. Two, I love going from "dirt" to "diamond". 2. I agree with you, Phil. I love the hood for the same reasons. Living in Florida where the elements don't always tell you when your car is dirty (especially this time of year up north), looking out over the hood as I'm driving is a great indicator of whether or not she needs a bath.
  10. Welcome, Scott. Love, love, love that color on a Corvette. Shine Responsibly!
  11. Welcome, Laura. Since you've admittedly been lurking for some time, no doubt you know the folks on these forums are an awesome an helpful bunch. Enjoy!! Shine Responsibly!!
  12. Thanks for all the compliments. Got a response from The Shine Doc out if it so it's all good. Rich, I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, I've had my share of "true" trials and tribulations with my 17 year old son so I've come to fully embrace not sweating the small stuff. I was glad I got to spend that hour with my littlest man and just wanted to share how awesome Adam's products are.
  13. My precious 5 year old left a good 4" scratch on my rear quarter Wednesday trying to get his bike out of the garage. He confessed immediately and promised to help fix it. The scratch caught my nail and I wasn't sure it would come out. I went to my go-to, Adam's 2 step, for correction (Paint Correction and Paint Finishing) Had to make several passes with both orange and white foam and microfibers - starting with orange microfiber and working my way to white foam Topped off with LPS. Photos speak for themselves. Needless to say, the kid was very happy in the end as was I. Before: After: Happy Kid:

  15. ^^ +1 I would definitely do the self service bay with that truck becasue of the height. You'll get much more of the dirt/salt mess out of the nooks and crannies than your typical touch-less will. Now your wife's Cruze is another story. Since you are going to correct that paint go ahead with the touch-less for the underbody of that one. Just my $0.02. As far as the products, you'll find everything you need here to keep your rides clean and most importantly, protected. I have yet to find something that didn't blow me away when using it for the first time. Customer Service with Adam's is simply unmatched. Some shopping tips: 1. Check the forums regularly. They run everything from special offers to flash sales on here and if you're not active on the forum you will miss out on some pretty awesome deals (I know firsthand). 2. Watch as many of the videos as you can and then watch them again. Heck, hook your laptop to your TV and have the whole family watch them. Seriously, you won't find another service provider that will spend as much time as Adam's does in trying to educate their customers on not only what to use but also how to use it. 3. Clear some space in your garage for your products. You will soon acquire more bottles, brushes and towels than you ever imagined. I personally enjoy just checking out my collection of stuff in between washing/polishings. 4. Don't forget to buy towels! I have found that I never have enough. The microfiber bundle (http://adamspolishes.com/shop/accessories/microfiber-towels/adam-s-microfiber-bundle.html) they are currently selling for $70 is a tremendous value. 5. Lastly, never wash or polish on an empty stomach. This stuff smells so good you might try eating it. Polish Responsibly!
  16. Nice. She's a keeper. Some of us have resorted to taking 2 spaces to try to send a subtle message. What gets me is that until about 4 months ago, no one parked out there and the lot was expanded long before that.
  17. Our employee parking lot used to have 175 spaces until about 6 months ago when they added another section with another 172 spots. This was the first step of an expansion where we will add about 40% headcount over the next 4 years. Well, a few of us who take pride in our vehicles began parking on the new section, which happens to be the furthest area from the main entrance. Unspoken rule was no one parked in the spot immediately next to anyone else. All has been well until recently when more people were parking there. Fast forward to this morning and as I'm grabbing my laptop bag from the trunk, one of the office admins drives past at least 30 spots to park right next to me in her Buick Rendezvous. When she got out I told her that her car was too dirty to be back here. She laughed until she saw I wasn't laughing then she pulled away. I will probably have a meeting with HR but oh well.
