  1. I'll post pics when I get home. Here is my procedure: 1. APC sprayed and soaked. 2. More APC and other brand wheel cleaner and scrub with brush. 3. Repeat step #2 with rinse between and after. 4. clay bar with tons of DS 5. rinse 6. clay bar again 7. rinse 8. Metal Polish #1 9. Metal Polish #2 Took about 45-60 minutes a wheel. The clay bar helped on the lip of the wheel (they look good) but the second lip looks horrible. Once I get home, I will post a picture.
  2. Can somebody post a picture of where this goes, or a picture procedure? I'm not sure if I have a washer, and it doesn't vibrate and doesn not get hot. Just want to make sure I am correct.
  3. can you play other audio CD's or DVD from your computer?
  4. I am going to have to pick up some of the GWC. I have neglected my rims during the winter and brake dust was caked on. I cleaned them and part of the rim is pitted bad and brake dust still in there. I tried clay bar and didn't help, wonder if the GWC will help. They are polished aluminum rims by the way.
  5. I figure I have a 50 gallon tank, pressure washer runs at 2 gpm, so I have about 20 minutes of water through my pressure washer. I would love a bigger tank, a 90 gallon would be great, this tank came with the trailer (I bought it from someone who was getting out of detailing). That's one way of how you could figure out how big of a tank you need. I can do 2 average cars with my tank and pump. Hope this helps.
  6. Kind of older good news, but haven't shared with any of ya'll. My wife and I are expecting our first child in July. A Boy!!
  7. No Problem. I may just take a picture anyways to show. My ultimate mobile rig would be solar and battery powered so no need for a generator. Also a lot quieter. Need to do a few more detail jobs to be able to do that though.
  8. Just search for a 12v water pump. I got mine at Tractor Supply, you can also look at northern tool (I would have bought it there, but I went to the store and they didn't have any in stock and I needed it, you can purchase online though). It is very similar to water pumps in an RV. Just make sure that it has a 3/4" garden hose hookup for both inlet and outlet. They have some with barbs, but I like being able to unhook it when I want.
  9. On my washer (2000 psi, 2gpm) I could not get gravity to feed it the pressure washer enough. I even put my tank on a stand. I bought a 12v pump and battery and hooked it up, that way I have enough gpm to the pressure washer so it doesn't burn out, and also can fill a bucket with water if I need to. The biggest thing you want to make sure of is that you get enough gpm to your washer (at least for what it is rated). You do not have to worry about how much pressure you have to the pressure washer. Hope that helps, any more questions, let me know.
  10. I have a 55 gallon tank on my trailer, not sure of the brand though, if it stops raining I can get a picture if you would like?
  11. Welcome, I don't know how much you will learn, unless AJ hasn't taught you all that he knows. He is teaching me with all his write ups. Anyways, welcome, you will have fun.
  12. Hmm, how about we all band together and not make any orders until he tells us what they are, let's start now.
  13. And you want to make sure to get the VRT on there before they fade, cause then it is too late, even though you make them look decent for a short amount of time if they are faded.
  14. Kitchen & Bath Designer, looking to get back into the IT field, help desk type stuff, and detail cars (Superior Suds Auto Detail) when I can
  15. That is sick flex!!! I love it. I would take both of those trucks. I say keep em black and use VRT.
  16. I actually have one of those. Hook it up to the house and use the 2 hose method. One hose goes to power washer, other to a regular hose. Could also do the same thing without the power washer for your desired results also.
  17. VRT works very well. I little harder to get into the small spaces and crevices with a sponge, but very effective. I am working on trying to figure out a way to get VRT into those spaces effectively though. I know some people use the Undercarriage spray also on engines.
  18. When you go racing with them, let me know, I will show up with my friend who races. Be cool to meet you at one. I know there are a bunch of Lotus there racing.
  19. Hey Keith, I saw on your schedule you are with NASA Southeast that weekend. Do you race in that club? I have a buddy that races in that club, and know the director of the club.
  20. Welcome Keith. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself here. Good group here.
  21. Sorry to hear Adam. Being sad and angry about the situation is normal. You are right in smiling to everyone, something like that can change someones day. Prayers to you and his family.
  22. Welcome from a fellow North Carolinian!!!! Nice looking Gen 1 Lightning.
  23. Hey guys, anyone have a gallon jug pump I could buy? I have a gallon of the buttery wax, and forgot to order the pump with it. Now since I am refilling, I need one, and they don't have any on the website, Ashley said there are out. Anyone?
