  1. Thanks for doing what you did here Chonke. These were some of the best photo contests I’ve done on a forum because it was all about the whole picture not just the coolest car. Many were hard to decide since they were all great pics posted.
  2. I have 8 months of cold winter. We have heated garages to solve this dilemma.
  3. Looks good. Glad to see someone else tackling one of these big projects. I’m in the middle of doing a 40’ toterhome and 28’ stacker trailer. One step buff/Polish, then top coat.
  4. Haha. She does have an auto start though. But my daily TBSS doesn’t and it lives outside also. The birds don’t stay outside ever in the winter and have extremely rarely left out in the summer. Before either my son or girlfriend were around.
  5. I do have a 6 year old boy. She still parks outside even when it’s -20 below. Haha
  6. I tell my girlfriend no all the time. She can park outside for the 8 months of winter. My 2 Birds aren’t going to stay out in the cold. Lol
  7. I can understand having a 32oz of Strip wash but not a gallon. I own a detail shop and 98% of the cars don’t even have any wax on them to need Strip wash.
  8. Is there a big demand for gallons of Strip wash? I bought a 32oz and maybe used it twice in a year. Ceramic Boost would probably be nice in a gallon size.
  9. I use mine on every detail also and did the same thing. Got them to do up a gallon for me also.
  10. Very true. A lot of helpful knowledge here for sure.
  11. I have two different cars and had a hard choice trying to choose a picture, this month is the TBSS.
  12. No need. It lasts plenty long. I’m only reboosting the Ceramic Coated cars once every 6 months and it’s held up great waiting that long.
  13. I agree with Galaxy. This car is a daily driven, lives outside all year, and washed with drive through car washes. I one stepped with the heavy correction polish on the top surfaces. Then one stepped the sides with the orange correction polish. Finally topped with paint sealant.
  14. This looks great and works awesome. I’ve done this many times and saved a lot of people money.
  15. The pad and correction polishes and compounds do play a big roll. Along with the machine speed and how long, fast or slow you work a panel. Adam’s has how to videos on buffing and they also talk about speeds and technique. I know other very experienced guys will drop in here and give more detailed info. This video is a great starting point. Even after all my years (growing up around) of buffing new paint at a body shop I was running my Flex too slow.
  16. You wouldn’t want to see how much it costs to move in or out of Alaska. Plus I’d take a big pay cut doing that. Lol
  17. Since the dealer probably isn’t getting free freight. That’s to keep from absorbing the freight charges that can kill a small business.
  18. I’m covering the cars I store in my shop for the winter also. I look at it as just an extra layer of protection if something or someone gets too close. I can easily buff a small rub from the cover if there is one but the risk of a scratch on exposed paint would cost a lot here.
  19. I’ve only been using wash and wax. It seems to have helped prolong the life of the Boost. I’m at 7 months on this daily driven car that lives outside in the summer and it still beads and repels everything like it did on day one. I’m using wash and wax on every customer car I detail too and it looks great afterwards.
  20. Once the box leave Adams they have no control over how long it take the shipping company to deliver something. I can order a box Fed ex 2 day (which is cheapest for me) and I usually get it in 3 to 4 days because of where I live. For me here getting a box in 3-4 days is fast. So you guys don’t realize how lucky you are you can even get ground freight.
  21. I've tried Boost but it added an extra step which makes my washes go over 2 hours. Thus taking me away from spending time with my 6 year old. Plus any over spray on the glass is a pain to get off and I had streaks on the paint that I could not get rid of. I also didn't think it beaded the water as well as the H2O G&G. H2O G&G is very easy to use, applied while it's still wet as you dry. You can apply it over everything. Including the glass which means you won't need any Glass Sealant. Then I use Wash&Wax soap which prolongs the protection and water beading very nicely.
  22. Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the results and the customers have loved what they got back. But my shoulders are killing me on this trailer. This is a lot of paint even though it's just a flat surface. Lol Sucks that it's too tall to fit in my shop. So I'm cold weather testing the Correcting Polish.
  23. I will vaccume it first then use my Steamer to get the rest. I'm also thinking my Steamer attachment is getting the majority but the heat seems to help also. I wish I had a picture of the last dog hair car I did. It was bad.
  24. Here are a few projects I've worked on lately at my shop. The first one is a 54 Ford Custom. I made 2 new door glass for it, washed it up with some Waterless Wash. Then finished with Americana. The 40' Motorhome, he wanted the front and lower section cleaned and protected with a good coat of wax. So I cleaned it with Wash and Wax then finished it with Paint Sealant. The current project is this 24' Stacker Trailer and Toterhome (not here yet). This is getting one step corrected with the Correcting Polish then finished with Wash and Wax. This is a serious shoulder work out. It's taken me about 11 hours to complete one side and the front. You can easily see the before and after on the sideways pictures of front of this trailer.
  25. The paint coating is awesome. I've applied it to 6 vehicles and everyone loves it. I did our Pontiac Solstice this winter while in storage. It lives outside and is daily driven in the summer. It's so easy to wash, nothing really sticks to the paint. I bucket wash with wash and wax every time. I have not reboosted it yet and it still beads water like a champ. When we put it back in storage shortly I'll do it's first Reboost.
