  1. Jim, I'm fairly new to this detailing stuff, too, so I'll let the experts weigh in. But the tip I picked up on this forum to help with bugs on the front grill is a can of Quick Sealant. Before any road trip or maybe once a week after washing, spray the Quick Sealant on anything that's going to get bugged: grill, headlights, side mirrors, etc. Really makes cleaning the bugs off much easier. Also, as Greg said, the Rinseless solution or a bottle of Waterless Wash does wonders on bugs.
  2. Thanks, Doc, for the update and correct name of brush. I'll keep an eye out for it.
  3. Just wondering if you're still selling the interior brush. Adam called it the "leather and interior brush" in his video for Leather and Interior Cleaner but I think it was listed as a Cabin Brush. Thanks.
  4. Howdy shiny car dudes: A quick (and very newbie) question about the best caps for AP products. Just bought Brilliant Glaze and Rinseless Wash for the first time. When they came in I noticed that the BG came with a pump cap and the RW came with a squeeze cap. Based on AP videos I've watched and stuff I've read in this forum, it seems like I should switch those two caps. The pump cap would be good to measure out RW which I wouldn't really need to do with the BG. Plus, it seems like the BG would be slightly easier with a squeeze cap. I know, I'm over-thinking it but isn't that how addictions start???
  5. Thanks, Mike. Will pick mine up on the way home from work tonight. Can't believe I've lived this long without one.
  6. Americana Shine Kit, thy will be mine! And rinseless wash, too. Thanks AP for the great sale.
  7. Totally agree with The Wolf. A sink in the garage is great for a hundred reasons. As he said, if you can figure out the water supply and drainage issue you're most of the way there. If you don't want to put in cabinets or are looking for a cheaper option, we installed a mop sink (sometimes called a utility or laundry sink) which is a stand alone unit. Similar to the one in the link below. Great for soaking dirty MF towels. http://www.homedepot.com/p/MUSTEE-20-in-x-34-in-Plastic-Floor-Mount-Laundry-Tub-19CFT/202041458?cm_mmc=Shopping|Base&gclid=Cj0KEQjwstaqBRCT38DWpZjJotIBEiQAERS6_A2aWi_lbE8LjeWfJwPwUailpnsbV4ERgDvqLwa3RUoaAvSB8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
  8. That's a nice list to start with. Having all those Adam's products, I'm sure it will be at least a week or two before you buy anything new. For some weird reason, the glass cleaner and sealant are still my favorite products. Everything is great but there is just something about having a spotless windshield and windows that just melts my butter.
  9. Howdy to all my new Adam's friends. I'm a Texas guy so my two favorite things to do on the weekend are smoke a brisket and detail my pickup. Found Adam's products after lurking in Tacoma World website and am hooked like a junkie on meth. In fact, I'm starting to get the shakes because I haven't ordered anything in a couple of weeks. I need my fix, man!
  10. Thanks for the feedback, car dudes. It could be any or all of the suggestions you made. I probably was holding the can close to the trim so as not to get it on anything else. Based on what y'all said, though, it's probably an interaction between the In & Out Spray and Quick Sealant. I was experimenting a few weeks ago with different parts of the exterior that could work with the QS. If that's the case, I have two questions: 1) How should I have removed any previous dressings before using the I&O spray? 2) Can I now do whatever is the answer to my first question and just start over? Thanks again!
  11. Used the In and Out Spray for the first time last week and got some blotches on the front grill and plastic trim. Just wondering if this is overspray or some other operator error. Also, is there any way to correct it?
  12. Just tried the Total Interior Detailer this weekend when detailing both of my vehicles. I really like the product because of its versatility, finished matte look and smell. I didn't notice any streaking but that's probably because of the surfaces of our dashes. I actually did use the TID on our Nav screens and it worked well. (Adam says in the video for TID that it can be used for Nav screens.) Given that TID is a little cheaper (except that right now the Leather & Interior Cleaner is on sell) I'll use it as my maintenance cleaner and will use the L&IC in conjunction with the Conditioner every few months.
