Ironically in the two months I've been using my new Adam's products on clients vehicles, I had never used them on mine. Anyway, I got up at 6:30 this morning and did a full detail. I wasn't done until 1 in the afternoon. I sprayed it down with suds, hand washed it, blow dried it, clay barred, made two passes one each section with the swirl and haze remover, made a pass with the time machine polish, and one pass with the machine superwax. Man, I was tired.... I didn't want to wait for my buttery wax and americanna wax to come in next week, but I'll do another wax 2 weeks from now. The pictures were taken right under the sun so it's cleaner than it looks. Tell me what you think!!!!

The thing is there are plenty ofpeople who wash cars where I live. My success is attributed to my knowledge and proffesional equipment. I use those things to diversify myself. I have been able to make profits but I am not very self disciplined when spending my money. Thanks for the advice! Oh and ya I really just bought the Americanna for myself and clients who prefer more extensive details

Thanks for the help and the link; however, someone mentioned that sealants are potentially harmful because they work themselves into the clear coat? Also if I'm using a PC, would applying the butter wax not remove the super wax?

I've been using Adam's machine super wax on all of my vehicles, but I've noticed people really like butter wax. What's the difference?

What's the best way to wash adams Velcro buffer pads? Can I machine wash them on delicate and air dry them?

I would adjust your prices to who you are marketing to. In my business I typically charge by the job, but it usually ends up being close to $30 an hour. I make sure it is absolutely spotless though and my clients are all older and are moderately successful. My friends (18-23) say they could never afford what I charge, but they really don't understand how much money I've put into my equipment and so forth. It's very important to educate your clients on what makes you different from other detailers. I wouldn't have half of my clients if I didn't explain to them what I do differently than some 14 year old with a bath towel, some dawn dish cleaner, and a bucket. I would start out a little bit lower since you are working with college kids as your clients and then you can always move up if you feel you aren't getting what you should be. Hope I helped -Brent
