Great thread...wife snapped these of me and our little one helping out...she loves the wheel brushing. They are never too young and it's always nice to have help. Of course after a few minutes she thought she was boss...I like the initiative.

We all know that one guy who goes to car shows and acts like a total jerk.  I've known this guy for several years now (not a friend, just a guy I see at shows) and I've seen him behave like a total a-hole and give other Vette owners a bad name.  One time he left a car show all ticked off because he was asked to move his car because he was blocking a lane. Got his money back.......and left. He always walks around every show with a towel hanging from his hip pocket, wears muscle shirts, and never acknowledges anyone else's car.  So today, we went to a 300 car show in my family's home town. They had 1 Corvette class for all years and there were about 30 Vettes there, all generations, and all of them deserved a prize, but it was a judged show with cash awards.  And he was there with his shiny C6, all decked out with his painted hoodliner, every piece of chrome you can get aftermarket, and his attitude. Well, the winners were announced. I got 3rd, and 2 2015 Z06's got 1st and 2nd.  Personally I would rather see older cars win, but ..............   Anyhow, he was ticked again that he got nothing, hopped into his car and left.  We pulled out and drove about 2 miles down the road and he was pulled off the road waiting for something or someone.  I, and about 30 other really great cars were all headed out on the highway in a convoy, and here he comes, about 100 mph or more, passing everyone up.  Next thing I saw was the blue and reds flashing behind us, catch up to him, and pull his rear over.  STATE trooper to boot!  Can't wait to hear how much and how many points.  Sorry, but I had to laugh.  Karma is a true b*tch.

After combing the website and figuring out how I wanted to start, I finally grabbed a car wash kit and a few others. I have been more than impressed by the quality of all the parts and the detail spray is phenomenal.

However the unsung hero of the whole thing is the great white drying towels. They are basically vacuums and the amount of water they absorb is incredible.

On my 2013 Dodge Charger I could've done the whole car with one. But decided to use two just to make sure it was completely dry. ive never used a towel that so effortlessly removes the water and is ready to absorb a ton more.

I will definitely be buying many more Great Whites.

I had a different type of wet sealant...but will be trying HGG once it's all gone. Here's the results from a two bucket wash...detail spray and some other guys sealant (Aerolon).

Yeah I've definitely used the ask for forgiveness many times before. She pretty much knows that once I get on something or mention more than 2-3 times in a week, it will end up being a new toy very soon.

And Rich thanks for the warm welcome haha...can't go wrong it's a good name.

    Welcome!

The secret with the wife is to detail her car. Then, when she sees how good it looks, she won't nag when you buy more stuff. It really works on the interior because it will smell so good.

Haha yeah believe me she knows I'll clean the cars...I can't stand the mess or the dirty paint. We ended up with two black cars for some reason and with the nightly SF fog they feel like they get spotted eveynight even after washing. I think the waterless or rinse less wash will be in my future too as a between full washes solution.

Can't wait till my box comes so I can get started.
