  1. That is pretty much what I did! Check the right side of the picture. Think they were $15 each and I used two. Perfect bar for the bottles and gives me storage above. Plus the bottles are out more so easier for someone with shorter arms to be able to grab. The shelving is from Costco. Two units. You just assemble so one set is stacked and another is set to workbench height. Think they were about $80 each.
  2. Just read that Adam Pitale is going to be in Bellevue, WA for a detail clinic at the Park Place Auto Salon. On the Park Place Auto Salon website they do not mention about the event, as well they in the past were a reseller for Griots and Swissvax (not sure if they still are, but their website shows they are). Stange as would have thought to have seen this in the events here on the forum...
  3. Is that including doing the barrel? And just applying or with air brush application?
  4. Woohoo....thanks for the confirmation. The key in this is like you stated, the overall temperature. Most people will not have their hot water set that high, as it is not recommended and can actually burn you. I kind of go with the rule, if I can put my hand under the water and it don't think "crap that is hot" and don't think "crap is this water ever going to get hot', then the temperature setting must be just right....and then it would be safe to wash on hot. My problem with some of my microfiber towels and as well the wool wash mitts is the pine needles...the pine needles hide out in the roof ditch and microfiber towels pick them up so quickly, have to constantly check to make sure none got picked up in the towel.
  5. Well, I may have to try it sooner! The hubby decided he needed a new vehicle. We picked up a Chevy Silverado LTZ 100th Anniversary (of trucks) Edition (Centennial blue). So now he wants me to ceramic coat the entire thing (rims, trim, paint). The rims are huge...so instead of getting two sets of Camaro rims done....figure will only be able to get the one truck done...oh well. Will just have a reason to place another order
  6. That would be great to see! I have a new Hot Wheels coming in around April, will be immediately doing the coating and was thinking of doing the rims this way...
  7. Did you read on Camaro6 that some of the ZL1s shipping west may have been damaged in transit? Granted that is not any going your way...but sad regarding that happening. I regret not having my new 2018 Hot Wheels 2ss M6 Vert ordered with direct private enclosed carrier instead of the standard shipping via rail car (it's TPW is 3/12)...oh well, I know how to detail and take care of it when it comes in. My plans will be to ceramic coat it (being a vert it is easier to do...lol). As for polishes, would think that Adams new one step polish (after a wash/clay is done) is exactly what would be great for a new car to even out the clear coat and get ready for a nice LPS and H20 G&G.
  8. Be careful about using too hot of water or drying cycle. They can cause issues with the fibers binding and no longer being as efficient. I also have had the issue with someone washing my detail towels in error (usually my glass towels for my household use) & that person uses fabric softener (I do not like fabric softener - it is a touch/feel issue)...so good to know about using APC to get that artificial softness out of the fibers so that they will do their job properly.
  9. Welcome to the forums! I agree with Eric, you have to decide on a budget as it is easy to go overboard. That being, I agree with NickFire20 as well if you can afford it. I started out buying a few things in 2013 to try out to see if I liked the products for a new car, and within 3-6 months, ended up buying an Ultimate kit. Since you need the Matte Detailer & Protectant, you can look at what is in the kit equivalent (that you may not use) and then call in to place your order and ask to replace those items with the Matte Detailer & Protectant instead. They will also build a custom kit....hope that helps!

Here are the Valentine Cookies made for work today along with cupcakes. The cake for both types of cupcakes is a chocolate sourdough cake (recipe from King Arthur Flour where also got the excellent sugar cookie & frosting recipe). One set has a maraschino chocolate ganache filling and the other is peanut butter fudge. The cherry filled ones then got a cream cheese frosting that half was vanilla and maraschino cherry juice, the other half was mixed with some of the cherry ganache (and some additional cocoa powder). I then put them both in pastry bag and piped on so it gave a swirl affect. The other used leftover chocolate frosting from the Nutella Cupcakes. Add in pearlescent heart candies and sprinkles of edible glitter (of course).

I went to a valentine cookie decorating class on Saturday. Was fun and nice to have someone actually walk you through the proper way to make a cookie decorating frosting. Attached is some images of the cookies I decorated and as well of the facility signs. Now to try baking and decorating some Chevy BowTie emblem cookes and some Hot Wheel emblem cookies, maybe even a Camaro or Corvetter emblem or two...

Thanks! Will have to look & see if our Costco has it (somethings are regional).
  17. I like mine. That being said, I have a larger cordless rechargeable led light from CAT that picked up from Costco for $30. It is great, is also a portable battery charger for USB enabled devices. Have pulled it out at car meets and inspected paint on other vehicles, owners who just had cars detailed are amazed at what I show them was missed or not completely paint corrected.
  18. Beautiful Arctic Blue 6th Gen! A lot of the Camaro owners change the performance brake pads out to ceramic and that lessens the brake dust considerably. With that, definitely ceramic coating them will help as well. Even though we are some distance away, hope to see you at a Camaro event (there is the Camaro Sturgis rally at the end of June that is fun...but you are probably closer to attend CamaroFest).

So cookie decorating is not my strongest skill...here is ones I did for super bowl along with the cupcakes. So Saturday morning am going to a King Arthur Flour Valentine Cookie Decorating class. Hopefully will learn some great tricks. As I have a Hot Wheels flame cookie cutter & Chevy bow tie cookie cutter that want to use.
  23. Well, you really should check out the Western Canada Camaro Club....they are super active, love to go to the track, and love their cars. After hanging out with them, you probably would become a GM fan!
