  1. I agree, contact Adam's regarding. I used the swirl killer for hours with a microfiber pad working on my husbands truck and it did not get hot.
  2. Actually, we have already discussed and contacted our dealership that we order from.. More than likely though we will be trading the 2014 Z51 Stingray Corvette for it. Would love it more if they made it in a ZL1/1LE, so we could add it to our fleet, but they are only doing the COPO...and while I would love it, my husband not so much, as well the price point is not in my budget right now. Instead we will get a convertible, manual, 2SS, with all options but the upgraded brake package (as we can buy and install way more cost effective than the GM package price). So you were not far off from mentioning
  3. If you look at my list...have my own fleet to maintain that keep s me plenty busy, especially when the Hubby takes his through a car wash (and not even a brushless!)
  4. Yes, that is the right pad for use with the porter cable and applying the paint sealant. You will love having it....but you may also want to look at just getting the Adams Swirl Killer kit that has all the pads, correcting polishes, bag, swirlkiller, and includes the liquid paint sealant. Especially with the 15% off sale going on.... http://adamspolishes.com/shop/kits/4-polishing-kits/adam-s-polisher-bag-kit.html
  5. Yes, either of those will work. Just make sure you are getting the right pad for the right size backing plate.
  6. Me and my V8Hotty! And the second photo is of me and my other Hotty when we went to NY for the Superbowl, one picture with the Trophy and one at the game! That was our second time attending a Superbowl and then we were lucky enough to go the next year as well in Arizona. We have been season ticket holders for over 25 years, so are not a bandwagon fans.
  7. With these options you need to reapply a protective coating of wax afterwards...correct?
  8. Welcome to the forum Matt! Had a chance a few years ago to visit Niagara Falls, it is definitely a beautiful region.
  9. I "listen" (no music) when claying, that way if by chance again there is a grain of something that comes up, then will hear it go across the surface and know to check the clay right away. If I run my hand over the clay and feel it, then I pick that grain out, so it will not get folded back in. Especially check the clay bar more often when you are on the lower part of the car. I also use rubber/knit gardening gloves when claying, it helps to hold on better to the clay.
  10. Maybe if you ceramic coated it afterwards it would last longer...lol
  11. Welcome! and how great to own a Camaro at 16! We had a guy that was at the Camaro Sturgis Rally in late June this year that was young too. He was so awesome. Hopefully you can make it out there one year too.
  12. Cyclo is a USA made product with a facility in Colorado. In 2015 the company was acquired by Rupes. Then the Colorado Cyclo facility became Rupes USA division. But to what I understand the Cyclo is still produced there. I have a cyclo, it was in the first large kit that I purchased from Adams back in 2013. Now granted I do not use it as much as some people, but it has been great these last four years. Then just this year I purchased the swirlkiller and swirlkiller mini. I like all three. The cyclo is great when my hand/wrist hurt from holding the Swirlkillers...unfortunately it is not good on curves or small areas.
  13. Welcome to the great Adams forum!
  14. Congrats on the new car for the wife! I recommend having her help you decide on what she wants done...based on will it be a daily driver or not. Plus if you bring her into it, she will not have an issue when you want to make another purchase of Adams Polishes Also, ... ...let's see that new car!
  15. Thanks for the mention about using Revive under the door handles, was wondering how was going to get those minut scratches out of that area on the husbands Avalanche.

    Food Thread

Well, guess should show you my savory side....full brisket part way through smoking and just before taking off the smoker! Think it was on there about 10 or 12 hours.
  17. Anyone else here heard about using fabric softener sheets dipped in water or sprayed with waterless wash for removing bugs & bug guts? Heard it from some other car buddies...if it was true just thought maybe it would help in this case...of course do not know myself.
  18. Wow! That is outstanding work!
  19. Shane...how much additional wheel coating do you need when using the air brush to apply? As had been wondering if that and the trim coating could be applied in that manner.

    Food Thread

Not sure how I have missed this forum topic! I love to bake (cookies, cupcakes, breads, etc). Also love to grill & smoke food on the Traeger. That being, in honor of Halloween coming up, here are some items made a few years back for a party. Just a few weeks prior to the party I hit a buck with my 2013 HotWheels Special Edition on my way to a Mt. St. Helens cruise...hit the buck about 20 minutes into my drive, and was still able to make the additional 3.5 hours to the meet up. Still had pieces of fur on my cracked front fascia, three holes in the fascia where his antlers went through, and a flickering headlight, but it was still driveable. Ended up being a $6000 repair to my insurance as the radiator mounts were broken and both headlights had to be replaced along with the entire front fascia/bumper & paint. Anyways, reason am sharing that is that one of the sets of cupcakes was in honor of hitting that deer...
  21. I live in Washington State (yes the rainy state)! If there was anywhere that is a good test spot for a product to stand up in the rain, it is here. At one point had used another companies back to black product and it did run off my vinyl. So then I got the VRT and used, the results were great and have not experienced any runs, including on our Avalanche with the black cladding. As well used it on our black vinyl soft tri-fold tonneau cover & trim for our pearl white Silverado High Country...again no runs even after driving in the rain. I use minimal product and work it in. Sometimes (but not always) I knock it down with a microfiber.
  22. NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY!!! We have some Australians here for an extended time with the military and one of them rented our 2014 Z51 Stingray Corvette with 3LT package for the next 14 months! He would love to actually purchase one...but said there were restrictions on what newer cars can be imported back...bummer for him. Although, we did sell our 71 Chevelle to a different Australian and he took it back to Australia a couple of months ago hen he returned home. So if you see a pretty Blue 71 Chevelle with white racing stripes (pictured below)...it was probably ours! NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY!!! P.S. All the military Australians we have met are just wonderful! What a great group of people. Really need to make a trip out that way one day... EDIT UPDATE: Just received a message that the Chevelle arrived in Australia today!
  23. Worked on my books so can submit my quarterly B&O and reseller taxes.
