Hello everyone quick question. I recently did the following things to my car three weeks ago and was wondering how often I need to reapply and what I need to reapply and when. The car is only driven on the weekends and is located in Southern California so it doesn't get much rain. It is in a garage the majority of its time. Here is the applications I did:
1)Wash with all purpose cleaner and car shampoo to remove prior waxes etc
2) Clay
3)porter cable with paint correcting polish and finishing polish
4)paint sealant
5)brilliant glaze
6)americana

I had the original phantom and than when the phantom 3 professional debuted I bought that one as well. I love them. Super easy to fly and incredibly fun. Buy it you won't be disappointed. And if you have any questions or comments message me!

Dan although I appreciate the lengthy response I believe you're missing the point of the "review" system. I know it's not your job it's somebody elses jop that has 12 other things to do blah blah blah.....but to boldly admit that you censor the reviews that are in fact legit and from loyal customers because they were unhappy with one of your products and chose to voice that opinion is disappointing and not what I would expect out of Adams at all....like I said in a previous post I'm a newbie here....I haven't had any problems with any products that I've ordered over the last month......and I THOUGHT that being a small business of 15 people would differentiate yourself from the usual "fanboy" websites......
-
Honestly, the moderators have nothing to do with what reviews get posted or not. So how can we answer that question? We're not evading your inquiries. We just can't answer the question.
I apologize, I just thought with a response like this from you: " Adam does NOT hand pick the reviews. The reviews that are written are done by customers and not censored." that you knew more than just being a "forum moderator"
-
Where are the moderators to answer rrmccabe review question. They seemed to have disappeared.

Think about it fellas, are we just saying that we wouldn't use one because Adams doesn't offer one.....if they did come out with one, say, next week everyone on here would be praising it like it's the newest most incredible thing on the planet......i am an Adams supporter 110% since i started using their line a couple of months ago and i don't see that changing anytime soon.....but you guys need to have an open mind.....try new things out.....give some things a shot.......

I think it actually made the Dodge look better......joking aside.....this is a hilarious thread
-
Chris, Sounds like you have a good plan, however I would lay down the BG first then PS.
In my first post the 1-6 is what I have already done to my car....beginning of last week actually...and it was my first time using Adams products so did I do the Brillinant Glaze/Paint sealant in an order that is incorrect?...I was always under the assumption that is was ok to put Brilliant Glaze over paint sealant for that extra "POP" right before a car show...any help would be appreciated.
-
Oh if the show is a few blocks away I'd wipe it down with Waterless and put the glaze on it (I assume you use it) before leaving, when you park then just wipe down with Detail Spray and the Single/Double/Triple Soft towel of choice
My first recommendation is if you have a bit of a drive to the show.
oh gotcha! Yeah it's only a couple of blocks away, not a long drive...if then I would see using the rinseless...
-
Take a bucket with you to the show with a few towels and rinseless solution in it and do a rinseless wash at the show - dry it with Detail Spray and if you want more shine hit it with some Brilliant Glaze.
Thanks Ricky....the show is only a couple of blocks away...would it be a bad thing to hit it with some waterless and than some brilliant glaze in my driveway before leaving...than get whatever may be left over with some detail spray?

Hey everyone as the title states i'll be entering into my first car show. I have used all adams products on my car and have done the following:
1( Strip wash
2) Claybar
3)porter cable with paint correcting polish and finishing polish
4)paint sealant
5)brilliant glaze
6)Americana
Now, the car barely gets driven and is in storage most of it's life so what do you suggest I do the day before the car show to help my car "pop" the most out in the Cali sun for the show? Mind you it is a white car, but should I do a full 2 bucket wash prior to the show since it may have some dust on it from being in storage? A coat of "brilliant glaze" than a detail spray wipe down the day of after arriving? any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's a picture of the car for reference:
-
I would think it is one or both of the too much product or could also be weather related durring use. If you have it happen more than once then I would assume too much product.
it was probably 85 degrees in the garage when application started....
-
Well for everyone's info it did not touch the bugs. But it was on less than two minutes so did not have a chance to soak in.
To add insult to injury I told Cindy that I needed to get a better system so that those did not get mixed up again as they are both blue.
Here response was to read the label.
Doh !
That's not half as bad as what I've been going thru lately.....I'm type 1 diabetic....and I just use adams polishes so I can smell fruity and sugary things....just don't eat them
-
Thanks fellas, I never thought about the product getting dry in the applicators so that may be some of my problem as well.....and in regards to using too much product it can be difficult to be able to see how much I'm actually using on my white car.
-
Well maybe someone can explain to me why out of the 30 reviews that I wrote on various products 28 of them being 5 stars and two of them being three stars ( in my opinion of course) the three star reviews got left out.
Once again, is what it is.
Edit: One review was 3 stars and the other 4 stars. The other 28 where 5 stars.
I would like to know the answer to the above question as well Rich. This is awfully disappointing.....

Hey everyone I noticed when doing my paint correction/polishing that when applying the paint sealant, brilliant glaze, and Americana that the more I added to the car and removed with their own individual applicators that it was becoming powdery. Almost like I was using too much. Did I use too much product? Or did I just have too much product on each individual microfiber towel?
-
I'm confused what's the difference between "waterless" and " rinseless". And also another question after paint correcting and polishing my car this past weekend I noticed a good amount of swirl marks on the back end of my car I'm guessing from washing the car where the exhaust containments are. Will the waterless or rinseless cause this to come back? I believe I had swirl marks etc all over the car cause I wasn't very careful when washing and just want to make sure that I don't introduce more swirls again.
-
Roger that. I'll watch some videos on application this week and then order some. It's even ok to use on a car full of dust?
-
Ok everyone. This weekend I did my first paint correction on my trains am. Polish, brilliant glaze, and Americana were added after the paint was flawless. Now what do I do in between washes. The car only comes out on the weekends. If it gets dusty what do you all recommend for a wipe/cleaning in between.

Based on my mystery box history, odds are pretty good. I've got more detail spray and H2O than I can use in the next year.
So if you buy two boxes chances are it's the same that someone else got when they bought their two? That stinks…not much of a mystery at that point lol

My opinion about the new American flag logo for Adam's Polishes...........................KEEP IT!
I think it's the best logo they've ever had. Adam's has always been American made and America proud. The new logo shows their pride.
How about a new American flag logo garage banner?
Anyhow, I think this should become permanent. No more changes. It's right. And if it "ain't broke, don't fix it"!!
Great job guys.
Excuse my ignorance but cruisin' the forums yesterday I thought I saw an announcement from them that they were changing their manufacturer to someone outside of America?
-
yes i did sealent, glaze, wax.
after wiping sealing off waited 12 hours for sealent to adhere before applying anything else to paint.
what is the benefit if any to putting on 2 coats of the Americana....don't mean to derail your thread just curious as to what your justification was behind it....does it make it shine more? more protection?

How often should I wait between layers?
How often should I reapply?

Thank you everyone for the responses....you suggest a full 2 bucket wash and dry prior too reapplying of the paint sealant and or Americana wax? Also another question how often is everyone doing a "full paint correction" on their garage queens? Is paint correction a one and done process or should that be done 2-3 times a year as well.
