  1. I joined a crossfit gym this summer. Workout M-W-F. We have great trainers which makes all of the difference. I've always exercised a decent amount but have got to the point where it is worth it for me to pay someone else to tell me what to do. I just show up and all of the workout decisions are made for me. Plus, correct form, warmups, and stretching are emphasized. They push me in a way that I am no longer capable of pushing myself. I also make sure to get outside as much as I can with my kids and play with them. I run with them. Tackle them. Wrestle with them. Go down slides with them. Ride bikes with them. This can be hard at times, but I make sure to play with my kids regularly. So many benefits of doing this. Eating well is tough Sunshine has great advice above. I do feel much better when I try to avoid eating out as much as possible. Get away from the screens. We turn the TV and mobile devices off a few nights a week and figure out other things to do. I spend more time in my garage now that I invested in all of these auto care products. Its a great hobby. Its better than sitting on the couch playing on my iPad and I get a lot of satisfaction from having clean shiny vehicles.
  2. VRT is working vey nicely. I really did not think it would have much of an effect being that the black plastic was basically white. 3 applications on the bed caps so far have made quite an improvement. Of course they do not look brand new, but at least they almost black now. The cowl, although banged up, looks much better after one application. I'll take these results on a 12 year old truck. The VRT I got in one of my mystery boxes is going to save me a few hundred bucks.
  3. I was very happy with buy a gallon and get a free 16 oz. and they had 15% off on top of that. Super deal in my opinion.
  4. I will give that a good honest effort before I order but man they are in some bad shape. Worth a shot. The cowl is actually cracked, so that is beyond repair. Thank you
  5. I have an '04 F150 that looks pretty good but shows its age in it's plastic. Anyone ever replace the black plastic bed rails on their truck? How did it go for you? Have a bit of rust on one of the rear fenders. Rather than repair it, I think it would be cheaper to slap some fender flares over the rust. Anyone have an opinion on that? good or bad? It's not a lot of rust. My windshield wiper cowl looks terribly faded. Anyone every change one of those? Once I get these things installed, I plan on treating it with VRT. My truck has just over 100k miles. I could just let it go, but I want it to look nice again. It's also going to get a full detail pretty soon. I'm just not quite ready for a new truck yet, financially anyway. I could have this for a few more years so that justifies me putting a little money into it.
  6. I tend to go through the Interior Detailer as well. Really looking to add some gallons. I bought gallons for 4 different products a little while back when they had buy a gallon get a 16oz free combined with 15% off. I'm hoping to see that relatively soon. That is a nice deal. I bought Interior Detailer, Shampoo, Detail Spray, and Tire Shine Want: Rinseless Wash, All Purpose Cleaner, & Glass Cleaner
  7. I recently waxed my Black Durango with Americana a week after a strip, clay, polish, seal. The seal is great, but I wanted a little more shine. I probably should have left the seal on longer. Found that out on the forum after I was already done. Americana goes on and off pretty easy, especially compared to the store bought cleaner waxes that I used to use. Plus, I have a lot of product left. The product should last me a long time. Then, make sure you have some detail spray to finish your regular washes. That stuff is flat out amazing.
  8. I use my leaf blower to blow off excess water. Especially on the roof in between the groves. If I don't, I waste a towel on the roof alone. I then use detail spray along with some waffle drying towels that I had from the local parts store. Or I'll use whatever quality MF towels that I have if needed. I plan on getting some GWDT's in the future. I'm still slowly stocking up on stuff here and there. Detail spray is where it's at. I can't believe what a difference it makes when drying. I was using way too much when I first started and have really cut back and still get good results. I really love the stuff. I do have some H20 G&G but I'm kind of saving it for the winter months.
  9. I live in the Midwest and salt season is right around the corner. I would love to be able to wash vehicles in my garage with rinse less wash since I do not have hose access in my garage. Is this a decent product for salt? Or should I just stick to the traditional wash in the winter?
  10. Will I need to clay bar it again before applying the wax? Or just a good shampoo wash?
  11. I did a strip, clay, correct polish, finish polish, and seal today. Really wanted to finish w Americana but ran out of time and it was hot and very humid. There's no problem w washing next weekend or the following and putting a coat of Americana on, is there? I planned on doing it all at once. I'm wondering if it is okay to spread out the work a little bit.
  12. I had to find the right pressure on where to hold the trigger. Mine will not lock if I pull the trigger all the way. It will lock when I just lightly pull the trigger. Works nice after I found the sweet spot.
  13. Is there a trick to this? It only will work after I've run the machine for several seconds. Sometimes it doesn't work then either.
  14. Planning my first strip wash, clay bar, Polish, Seal, this weekend. What is the best way to get bugs off of the front of the car?? I have been having trouble with this issue during my regular washes.
  15. I may have to box the stuff up and bring it into the house. My garage is like an oven right now.
  16. I'm new to this market. I chose Adams because it appears to be the most simple system. It also appears that the Adams team is receptive its customers. I love the videos and the info that I have learned on this site. As for price. Adams is a few dollars more than a few others that I have come across. But I keep hearing that Adams has the best service. I made a big order a week ago. A pad was missing. I emailed Adams what happened and had the pad one week later. No questions. My first purchase was 3 MB's about one month ago. I got over $100 of free stuff when I calculated it out. No other company does stuff like that. So I feel like i got a great value with the money that I've spent so far. And like Fierce5 said, buying American is important to me as well.
  17. Are wheel woolies re-usable? Do you wash them like microfiber?
  18. Great advice. Thanks for clearing these things up for me.
  19. Yes, helps very much. Thank you, Might get a foam gun soon. I really want a foam cannon but I need a pressure washer first. I just spent enough money for a while so I'm going to hold off on purchases for a little while. Thanks again
  20. Oh, and waterless wash was great on door jams.
  21. I got to use the Adams products for the first time this weekend. My take and a few questions: Bought 3 mystery boxes and got a pretty good starter kit for a nice price. Shampoo: Very nice. Not sure how much to use, but I am going to need more. Detail Spray: Love it. Can believe how awesome it is to use when drying. Will be buying this in bulk Glass Cleaner: Very good. Glass cleaning towels are great. Micro Revitalizer: I like. I have a few towels from another supplier from before. This stuff along with no scent laundry soap seems to work great. only one wash though. In/Out Spray: I have a black mesh grill on both vehicles. I like this. Tire shine: Pretty good. Better look than the soaking wet look I get from the store bought stuff. APC: Only used a little bit. Does a nice job. 1. Wash Pads: Work fantastic. Do I need to clean wash them after use? They seem to hold dirt. 2. Should I wash glass cleaning towels separately from other MF towels? I only have a few glass towels. I ordered a polishing kit. Should arrive today or tomorrow. Went with the Rupes over PC. Not sure if I should have done that or not, but you only live once. 3. Orange Pads and black MF pads. If I use correcting with the MF pads, do i have to follow up with orange pad? 4. If I decide to use black MF pad, do I use it on the whole vehicle, or only on spots that seem to need the most correcting? I got some other stuff in my mystery boxes that I haven't used yet. I have some H20 G&G for maintenance after full paint detail. Wheels in decent shape so I used suds vs wheel cleaner. Will use during strip wash. I have some interior stuff from store that is pretty good. I'll have some Adam's that I will use when this stuff runs out. VRT is also on order. 5. When and how often should VRT be applied? Before washing? After claying? Weekly? Monthly? My vehicles are daily drivers. They are parked in garage at night, but are outside every day because I work 5-6 days/week. 04 dark grey F150 (pretty good shape) and a 13 black durango.
  22. How often do you have to wash the microfiber glass cleaning towels?
  23. Hey James. Winter salt will be my concern in a few months. I also live in central Illinois. Curious how you handle salt
