  1. Wow Hendrix, that painted radiator cover is pretty sweet! Where'd you get that? Tell us more about it. Better yet, maybe I should tell us more about it next week?
  2. Keep in mind, it wasn't pine sap, which is really nasty. Haven't yet tried it on pine sap, so the jury's still out on that, but it handled that cottonwood sap like it was nothing.
  3. I've been using the Waterless Car Wash quite a bit now, and am really pleased with its performance. Adam & I spent a bit of time trying it out to be sure it was worthy of the Adam's name before releasing it. However, I had a chance to test it even further today. Yesterday, we had the Mustang at our local Shelby Club BBQ, held at a park. We all parked our cars on the steet alongside the park, under the shade of big cottonwood trees. Upon packing up the car to leave, I noticed that the trees had rained down a fine mist of sap all over my beautifully detailed car. I took to cleaning up the car this morning with the Waterless Car Wash. It took the cottonwood sap off easily and cleanly. I was sort of expecting a big mess on my hands and possibly needing to get out the hose and wash bucket to get the sap off. So, after a quick cleaning with the WCW, and a follow-up with Adams Detail Spray, the car looks beautiful again!
  4. Looks like there were just over 800 cars this year, and they were a little disappointed, but figured that wasn't too bad with the economy the way it is.
  5. The goal to become the biggest Mustang rally is within the next few years. They ultimately hope it becomes a full week long event like Bike Week currently is, and also are hoping it ends up bigger than Bike Week. This year they are expecting 500-700 Mustangs. Next year a few hundred more, and so on. The Sturgis Mustang Rally is a family friendly event, and they plan on keeping it that way in years to come. I'll have to look into the Bellevue Rally - may be one I need to put on the 'Need To Attend' list.
  6. We're going to have a booth at the 3rd Annual Mustang Rally this year. This rally has grown quickly in its first 2 years, with the rally committee's goal for it to become the biggest Mustang event in the country. There are numerous events, including drag racing, autocross, poker runs, cruiser night, kid events, and more. This rally is all about having a good time, and though this will be my first year attending, I've heard lots of good things about it. I'll be there with my wife & daughter, and we're all looking forward to having a blast. More info on the rally can be found here: http://sturgismustangrally.com/ For those of you who attend, stop by the Adam's booth to say hi. Hope to see you there!
  7. I really like the new WCW. I had a chance to show it off at the Saleen Nationals last weekend, and it got plenty of OOHS & AHHS.
  8. Nice ride! I'd tell them to keep those detail monkeys away from my car, especially if the paperwork is already done. I had a bunch of work to do after the dealership detail monkeys sprayed petroleum oil, er, I mean "detailed" our new ride. Love the look of tire grease slung up all over the side of the car after your first drive - quality.
  9. OOPS. I was crying so hard, I think I wet myself.:lol::lol:
  10. A few updated pics with painted mirror covers & sans 3rd brake light cover... Also, this is what the bone stock 500 hp engine bay looks like. We have some ideas on what to do in here eventually to make it a bit more respectable in the power department.
  11. 1. If you use a standard wash mitt, soap, and water to clean your convertible top, which I assume you do, then the WCW should work fine to do touch-up cleaning on that same top - it's a non-greasy formula. 2. Adam & I tested the new WCW with the big white MF towels, so yes, you'll be fine with the white towels you have. The new blue towel goes along with the color matched product/applicator system that Adam has developed to make it easier for folks to use the correct combinations when they have a big box full of Adam's products.
  12. Assuming your winter slop is as bad as ours, I'd say that amount of dirt and grime is going to be too much for you to use this product - you'd end up going through a gallon of it every wash. It's really designed for quickly cleaning up an otherwise clean car that gets dusted over a couple of days, or dusted then rained on, when you really wouldn't need to do a full-on complete car wash.
  13. Yes, I've thought about it, but not made any decision yet. Eventually, we plan on having the vinyl stripes removed and new stripes painted on and then clearcoated, so any paint mods will happen at that time. I expect that to be a year or 2 from now.
  14. This new Waterless Car Wash is a great product. I got a chance to use it on my dark green truck a little while back after it had been all washed and then rained on. I did look carefully to be sure there were no new scratches after it was covered in rain-soaked, dried-on dust. At the time, I used it on a brand new topper with a 2 week old paint job, and there were no scratches to be found anywhere on that soft new paint after clean-up. I was sold almost immediately, and I'm skeptical. Now that I have the new 'Stang, the Waterless Car Wash will get a lot of use, and will be a great product to do touch-ups at the shows since the car will already have a good coat of wax on it. Like Adam said, the Detail Spray can build up with too many applications, so if you need to touch up daily or every other day, like at shows, the Waterless Car Wash is perfect for that, because it comes off easily with no streaks, and shows off that great Adam's wax job that you did.
  15. Haha! Stupid brake light cover is gone! I told my wife the other day that it looked like it was starting to peel off on one side. Then today, I told her everyone agreed it had to go, so she said take it off. Boy, was it on there good! I mean it almost fell off all by itself.
  16. Yeah, I don't really like the 3rd brake light cover either. So far I haven't been able to convince my wife that it needs to come off, and since it's her car... Maybe it needs to fall off.
  17. Alright, here are the 'after exterior detailing' pics. Still have to do the interior - that's for tomorrow. The Saleen Nationals are being held here in Colorado this weekend, and they have a Shelby Mustang class, so I'm getting it ready for that. Hopefully my red painted mirror covers will get here before Saturday's Show N Shine. I don't know, but I think the detailing made a huge difference. At least I'm happy with it.
  18. You wouldn't be able to afford her sister. Fortunately, she found herself a surgeon to help spend his money.
  19. Hey Adam, We've got to get out cruisin in a couple of red cars soon.
  20. Yep she's definitely a keeper. Oh, the wife, too. This is why I've always been fine with my wife having a real good job. I ain't no chauvinist.
  21. Yeah, well I was waiting. I only stopped by the dealer to check out some more colors on the 2010's, since I've been having a hard time picking a color for the 2011 GT we thought we wanted. Then I saw this baby. It would have taken quite a bit more money to get a 2011 GT to the same power level, drivetrain, & suspension as this one for what we got it for. Plus, there would have been another year of waiting (I've been waiting since 2004) Besides, I definitely prefer the GT500's to the GT's - just didn't like the brand new prices of the GT500's. Man, is this thing fun to drive. It's actually very refined and easy to drive when you're just driving normal, but get into it, and it moves something fierce.
