Wow, I have to say Adams, you guys really knocked your products out of the park. With all the products I have used so far (H2OG&G, VRT, Interior detail spray, and the piña colada scented detail spray) I am completely impressed with the way it works, and with how great everything smells! I love working with something that doesn't smell nasty and doesn't work as well as it is hyped. That is not the case with these products! I can't wait to get my hands on more to add to my detailing arsenal. Here are some pics of the vehicles I did this weekend. I did my truck, my wife's Kia, and my moms Subaru. Everyone is so happy with how they look! Thanks again Adams!!

I have to drive on gravel every day for where my son goes to daycare so I try not to go overboard with tire shine and that stuff since the dirt sticks to it so much.

Just a quick update on this for those who care I got the backer board for it cut last night, torched, and stained. I had to do the stain because the 2 colors contrasted too much. All I have to do now is get the hangers on the board, and get the steel screwed to the wood. I am excited to see this on my basement wall in the next day or two!
This was with just the wood burned:
And after the stain:
And lastly a preview of what the two will look like together:
I cannot wait to get the steel screwed to the wood with the spacers. I think that the depth will give it some great dimension and shadowing.

Thanks everyone! I went with a matte finish and I bought a lot of supplies before starting but only used a couple. The scotch brite pad took and gave me the finish I was looking for. After the scotch brite I took compressed air to it and cleaned it all off. After that I put mineral spirits on a rag to get rid of any finger prints then dried that and clear coated it.
This picture is when I was waiting for the mineral spirits to get completely dry:
I have 3/8 inch spacers that I am going to put around it to give a bit of a shadowy look between the board and the steel. And I am still torn between a super dark stain, or a matte black paint for the backer board.
Progress is being made, and I think it is looking pretty good so far. I am hoping to have this all finished by this weekend! I will be sure to keep this thread updated.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! This is my pride and joy, aside from my wife, dog, and 4 month old son ???? It's a 2012 Silverado LTZ crew.
It is loaded to the gills and enjoy driving it, just don't enjoy having to take it down gravel everyday but I guess that comes with the area. That is part of the reason I want to get more into detailing so I can keep up on the wear and tear of the gravel roads. It gets washed often and will be getting buffed as soon as I can convince myself to bite the bullet and get a DA. Looking forward to lots of advice and good products!
