  1. That wasn’t Adam’s. My guess was it was a trade on here.
  2. Is yours the combo then? I know you can get just the ferrous one for around $500.
  3. Elcometer makes good meters but they are on the higher price point side. Car dealerships use them as well as some detailers.
  4. The whole point of BG is to add shine and fill in imperfections. If you’re doing paint correction, you shouldn’t technically need the fillers. Therefore, I’d recommend the PS first. Then you can start your layers of wax and glaze as you want.
  5. I’d still go with iso-water. Don’t think can get much cheaper than that.
  6. Could use that or 50/50 iso-water mix. A little cheaper and readily available than coating prep.
  7. It may vary, but I would say no to the wash after iron remover/clay. Wash the car (with strip wash or car shampoo with APC added), iron remover, clay car with leftover soap in bucket, and then rinse. Some me like to use detail spray when claying. If you’re gonna do paint correction, I wouldn’t use the detail spray since it’ll be a layer blocking the paint from the polisher.
  8. Yea, I keep hearing about the Pro Line but haven’t seen anything materialized yet. Hopefully it’ll be soon.
  9. If you do multiple coats of wax and then use DS, you could actually move or shift the wax.
  10. Is it the sealant that absorbed it or bare paint? If it’s the sealant, try a strip wash to remove the sealant. If it still shows, use a light polish first and work your way down. Unfortunately, bird poo can sometimes have things in it to mess up your paint. That’s why it’s best to get off ASAP but sometimes that’s not an option.
  11. If it’s the same size as the Rupes bags, or close to it, you should be able to fit both. Maybe won’t have as much room for pads, but I’d rather put my expensive machines in a nice bag over my pads.
  12. Looks like we may hear about it soon then.
  13. Anybody else see this label?? I think it looks better than the current label.
  14. They’re designed to curl on the bottom so that it can reach those hard to get areas inside the bottle
  15. So far, all are still available.
  16. I’ve got three full, brand new containers of Adam’s waxes. The previous and current Patriot wax and Americana wax. The current Patriot and Americana come with applicator. Looking for the orange buckets, Spot Meet DS, Slammedenuff DS, 2016 Christmas DS’s, and snub nose gun.
  17. Haha. It probably will this time since you learned your lesson from last time!
  18. There’s another one on eBay right now. Start bid at $100
  19. Usually wax will last about a week to 2 weeks depending on how often you wash your car and quality of the wax. American and Patriot will probably last longer than BW since they are both paste wax. If you really want something that lasts and gives protection with shine, try the Ceramic Paste wax. You don’t need to have a ceramic coated car to use it (though it does help).
  20. It mainly depends on what you’re looking to get out of the product. If you’re looking for a lot of shine, wax or a glaze is what you want. If you’re looking for protection that is easy to apply but still has some shine, paint sealant. If you’re looking for the most protection and are willing to spend some extra time on it, ceramic coating. Obviously, the more protection and longer lasting, the less shine (but still has a fair amount). There are trade offs to each product.
  21. I like the look of a hardwired light. Don’t see any wires sticking out.
  22. I got 2 shop lights with built in LED bulbs. They were $20 each at Costco. Only problem with them were they are plug-in instead of wired.
  23. Probably a scammer hoping to trick someone who doesn’t know better.
  24. Putting wax on top of another coating of wax doesn’t remove the bottom layer of wax. If it was a solvent, like they claim, it would remove the bottom layer of paint sealant if you put that on top. However, if you put too many layers on top of each other, they start to shift and you start getting a point of diminishing returns. As as far as the paint sealant on top of wax, wax doesn’t dissolve the sealant. But the sealant is designed in nature to adhere to paint or clear coat. If you put it on top of wax, it has nothing to adhere to and will not stay.
