  1. Here are the vehicles as promised. This was my first car. 1994 Isuzu Trooper handed down from my parents. Overall it’s in pretty decent shape. There are a few rusted areas that I hope to get addressed soon. It’s on 33s with around 2-3” lift. There’s not really a lift kit so bigger rear springs and torsion bar adjustment. I completely rebuilt the front end recently. It probably needs repainted to look nice but if it will fit in my new garage I’m sure I will polish it at some point just to see what happens.
  2. This Miata is black of course. The swirls are bad. I'll look at picking up some of those suggested items. Should I suggest that she get HGG and a double soft towel for when she washes it herself? Or just a double soft and have her just spray it off with water and dry it occasionally? I'll take a look at the FAQ page that you posted and watch some more videos. I have watched quite a few but I'll take a refresher. Thank you!
  3. Okay thank you! It is saved with my email so I will try using my username and see if it will work for me.
  4. Let's say that my aunt has a Miata that she only drives on the weekends during the summer. She wants me to do a full detail. I am going to wash, clay mitt, polish, and wax. Would buttery wax be good for this and how often should it be reapplied? Or should I try some other kind of wax/sealant?
  5. Hello everyone, I don't think I have made my introduction post yet. I believe a Facebook ad drew me to this horrible addiction. I decided to give it a shot after reading reviews and hearing great things. I bought a mystery box on Black Friday last year. I got the 4 bottle bag, DS, ID, TS, and BW and a few towels and a sponge. I haven't used the wax but I love everything else. That prompted me to order the 15mm Swirl Killer Mystery Box in April to attempt to battle the swirl marks all over my 2013 Aurora Black Pearl Kia Forte. I haven't used it yet but I think I got enough supplies to do the job without needing to order anything extra right now. I did receive the wrong size pads and I know "you get what you get..." with the mystery boxes but hopefully they will help me out. My detailing has been limited to hand washing (single bucket, no grid guard?‍♂️), an occasional clay bar and paste wax, or, more likely, just a quick spray wax. I haven't really had a vehicle that was in good enough condition to spend hours cleaning (I still don't, to be honest) but I have a little more time on my hands so I'd like to practice so I am prepared. I'd also like to start a side job detailing cars. I'm happy I found this forum so I can expand my knowledge and become skilled enough to treat cars the way that they deserve. There is nothing better than a perfect reflection in the side of a car. As soon as I close on this house, I will be fixing up the garage and waiting patiently for mystery buckets/boxes/cases/whatever to begin stocking up and discovering new products. I will post pictures of my vehicles at some point.
  6. Sorry to dig something up that is a few months old but I have the same issue. I have to reset my password every time I want to log in. I can reset my password, log in on my laptop, and then attempt to log in on my phone with the password that I just set and it will fail. Did the password reset from @TheWolf do the trick?
  7. That looks amazing. It gives me hope that my turds can shine one day.
  8. Hey, fellow KDM guy! I have a Forte that has, sadly, also not seen much TLC. If the Traverse is still in great condition, I would suggest ceramic coating. I haven't used it so I can't speak from personal experience but I have heard ceramic is a great defender. I have a 15MM Swirl Killer that I got as part of a SK mystery kit. I haven't used it yet but I am hoping to try to reverse some damage on the Forte with it when I get the time.
  9. Good Morning Everyone, Brandon here. I think a Facebook ad got me onto Adam's Polishes. I started with a mystery box. I believe I was sent the 4 Bottle Bag Kit with Interior Detail Spray swapped in instead of Car Shampoo. My next purchase was a 15MM mystery kit. I received quite a few things with this box. I did notice that I was sent 4" pads with this polisher which are the incorrect ones so hopefully I can get that resolved. If not, I will just have to order the correct pads. I love a clean car. Unfortunately, my vehicles are beyond saving. I can use them to practice though and keep them as shiny as possible. I am looking to start a side business detailing cars and I will have a nice car to keep beautiful soon. I look forward to absorbing as much knowledge as possible.
