Sorry to hear you had some issues in removing the Ceramic Spray Coating. I've had some issues before just due to something as simple as the amount of moisture in the air or lack there of.  I've not had issues with the towels leaving stuff behind, generally I just give them a good snap to make sure there are no loose fibers. Did the coating still work properly? Meaning is the surface super slick? Did you apply the coating inside a garage?

The coating turned out great. It was just a pain with the static charge and fibers being left behind.   I was a little worried about the fibers marring my fresh correction.   But the end result is great.   Just was curious , thought I was doing something wrong.   I never applied anything ceramic before.

  2. I did a full paint correction and used coating prep before applying, my question is Why was there so much static charge while buffing off?   I used new prewashed single soft towels and after awhile I even tried new unopened single soft towels.  It was leaving towels fibers all over paint.

@shane@detailedreflections alluded to it but as a general rule, least aggressive first is best; that is, unless you're u have a lot of experience and can tell by looking. So FP, CP, then HCC. But depending on how deep the scratch is, even the HCC won't get it all. If you run your fingernail over the scratch and it catches, that's a pretty good indication it's gone through the clear coat and will need more than compound and polish...in other words, wetsanding may be the last and only resort. However, you might be able to minimize it some with the polish and HCC. Any pics?

It’s definitely through the clear coat.  I was just gonna try to make it look better for him.  I never wet sanded before, and don’t feel comfortable doing it on someone else’s vehicle.  I’m just gonna hit it with the finishing polish to blend the best I can.  If he wants I can use the orange polish when I comes in.

Depending on the depth of the scratch, why not try finishing polish and see if it comes out?  It doesn’t have huge cutting power, but it’s the least aggressive method. One step at a time. And that way you don’t go more than you need to.

    Thanks much appreciated

Personally I wouldn’t go compound to finishing polish. Especially if it’s a dark car. Light cars are more forgiving with skipping steps. So that may be a factor.

But keep in mind polishing one spot may make it stand out from non polished areas as well. Food for thought.

Ok thanks.  It’s a red jeep.  I was only going to use the blue compound on the spot where the tree branch hit, then finish the entire door with the white Finishing polish.    Can I use the microfiber cutting pad with the white polish first instead of blue, or will it be a waste of time?

  6. I have a small patch to correct on my neighbors car, I was gonna use the blue polish and then the finishing polish. Can I skip using the orange polish? I just placed an order for some. Would it be better to use a white pad for the blue polish to start?

They were put in to replace the resonators that are in an exhaust system. Less weight and bulk.

Thanks.   I wasn’t sure because this was the only 19 on the lot with this.  The rest has resonaters.

In short, yes to all of the above.  Regarding the finishing polish, the foam may actually be too soft to get the polish to work.  Even the white finishing pads are firmer than the red or gray.

But for wax or sealant, the red is just as good as the gray.

Thanks.  I’ll use it for the wax.

Hmmm, which shipping option did you choose?

First time I took free shipping. It shipped smart post.   Usually it’s been taking about 10 to 12 from the time I ordered.  It sat at Adams facilities for 5 days before fedex picked it up, then 2 more days at fedex before leaving Colorado.

Update, very disappointed.  Finally got an estimated delivery date of the 16th.  14 days after my order was placed.  I’ve ordered stuff from China that came in that time frame.

My order on 10/3 delivery date has

now changed to 10/18.  I was gonna order a mystery crate,  but I can’t wait until Christmas to receive my order.   My order didn’t even leave Colorado until 10/10.

Mine is still at Adams, hasn’t been pick up yet.  My shipping label was created Saturday afternoon.  I guess I will have to use the ceramic boost.  Haven’t tried boost out yet.

Hey guys, new here, hoping I put this thread in the right section. I was just wondering what's everyone's opinion on the pumpkin spice products. I really want to get the deodorizer and the interior detailing spray but I've seen a few people mention it smells more like buttered popcorn. Any chance you guys wouldn't mind sharing your opinions?

Secondary question, how big is the black Friday sale usually? I'm trying to hold out until that sale (if there is one, not sure) but it's only worth it if it's significantly more than the 15% that usually  goes on every few weeks. I don't really wanna wait the 2 months if it's just an extra 5% ya know.

    Thanks guys. :)

I’ve used the PS detail spray and interior detailer so far and I think they smell like a sweet creamy pumpkin spice pudding, which for me is great.  Also the PS air freshener smells the same.

I’m sure the Black Friday sale will

be more focused on new/limited products, with the added 15% off.  I could be mistaken though.

Haha that’s awesome and a great idea to HGG the atv!  I’m going to have to do that, thanks!  What have you done in the house, Kitchen appliances?

I did the fridge, and microwave.  I have large glass sliders going out to the pool area, I clay barred and cleaned them with Alcohol, then used gg.  My dog’s nose prints wipe off much easier.     Does the gg have any uv protection?

Hope it goes out today for you!

Agreed and I’ll go out on a limb here and say that’s probably the case for all of us on here. I’m sure we all have enough product to wait a week for the next shipment to arrive! ?

Yes I do have quite a bit to hold me over.  Im just hoping to have it by Thursday, so I can use h20 gg, before I head to key west on fri morning. I’m out,  I used the rest of what I had on wed on my atv.  I went through 2 bottles in 5 weeks.  I’ve been gg’ing everything in my house.   I even did the air conditioning unit out side, and my pool equipment.

Just checked mine from Wednesday and it looks like FedEx has picked it up (this afternoon). I would think they will ship all of them within a very short window of each other.  I’m sure FedEx had to make several trips to pick them all up.

Hopefully goes out today, otherwise it wont be until next week.   Still processing so not looking to good.
