  1. It gets rid of the haze that can build up. You know if you’re driving towards the sunset or a street lamp at night, if you have some haze on the windshield the whole windshield will light up so that you can’t see out of it. I’ll send you the video of Adam explaining it. i did it on my wife’s vehicle last night and the clarity is amazing today. It’s one of my favorite things to do.
  2. When you say ceramic spray wax, do you mean Ceramic Spray Coating? Adam’s doesn’t carry the former, but the latter is a true coating (not a wax or hybrid wax) made easier by spray application. i have topped Ceramic Spray Coating with Ceramic Liquid Wax, and had great results. The wax gave my paint a lot of depth and it seemed to add some hydrophobic properties. The only negative I had was that i got it on the trim and it did not look good on the trim. So in short I think it’s worth it. Just make sure to work in small sections at a team it’s easy on easy off. And avoid the trim. If at any point you waited too long and the wax is hard to get off, a small spray of ceramic boost or ceramic waterless wash should help in wiping it down.
  3. Welcome! Both suggestions above are great! Tire Armor is probably my favorite, but VRT can be used on many other things besides Tires.
  4. Welcome to the Forums Scott. I like your screenname.
  5. I do have used Ceramic Spray Coating without a polish. I always clay and decontaminate, but not always polish. And if you're interested, there are some polishes out there that are way less abrasive than typical compounds and polishes. For example Adam's White Finishing Polish is less abrasive than the Orange Correcting Polish. But the Revive Hand Polish is even less abrasive than the White FInishing Polish. I see what you're saying about the ceramic past wax, but when the description of the Ceramic Paste Wax refers to Carnuba wax, they're more than likely referring to the Paste Waxes (Americana And Patriot). Those paste waxes typically last several months. Buttery Wax has a shorter longevity.
  6. Welcome Daniel! I agree with Chris. Ultimately it depends on what you're trying to acheive. Some good Combinations would be: 1. Patriot Wax (contatins SiO2, should last several months) 2. H20 GG (use once a month - Make sure your bottle says "Hybrid Technology" on the front. This means it contains some SiO2 which should play nicely with the Patriot Wax) 3. Brilliant Glaze (Will only last a few days, if that. So pick and choose when you want that extra pop) -Wash and Wash especially in this context as your shampoo here should work well with the SiO2 infused Patriot Wax and H20 GG. But it will also work well with the other combinations. 1. Paint Sealant (should last several months) 2. H20 GG (use once a month) 3. Brilliant Glaze (Will only last a few days, if that. So pick and choose when you want that extra pop) 1. Buttery Wax 2. Spray Wax (Every other week-ish) 3.Brilliant Glaze (Will only last a few days, if that. So pick and choose when you want that extra pop) Another tip for BG - It works wonders when applied to the interior of glass. So use it on the interior of your windshield. It will last for months.
  7. Regular WW is safe on a ceramic coat. Although, the Ceramic Waterless Wash quickly became one of my favorites. It's really an amazing product that leaves awesome protection and it looks great! If you hurry, there's the mystery spray is still available (i don't know how much longer) but you can get the limited edition scent. "Mystery Product"
  8. @Kyle@Adams @TheWolf @falcaineer @Rich Hey not sure who this should be directed to, tagged all of you thinking you could pass it on to the right person: The video on the New Ceramic Spray Coating page has no audio for any of my devices. Update: Disregard! It works now. I spoke to Charles, and he said it worked, and I checked again, sure enough it worked.
  9. So looking at your pictures I may be out of my league here, but my initial thought is, do you have a DA polisher at all? I'm not recommending that you use it on this burn spot, just asking because if you don't, they may be a way of preventing these burns in the future.
  10. Oh man, sorry to hear that. Welcome to the forum though! I'll wait for your pictures to see if I can give any input.
  11. Is using Clay on Non-Clear Coated surfaces acceptable? Just wondering for my own benefit, if the Matthew from OP's, wheels are in fact not clear coated, is this an instance where you would wash the wheels, then clay them before going into the metal polish stage?
  12. Yes, to add to what @RayS said, there's no bad question. We understand that the number of products and their purpose can be overwhelming, and we're happy to help walk through those things with you on here. It is a learning process, and you're not expected to have everything. We all started off with a single product (or some of us started with a mystery box) as an introduction to Adam's and got further into it over time. So please continue to engage with us and ask questions, that's what makes Adam's Forums great. Now, I want to apologize for introducing any confusion yesterday. My post above in the "Mega Foam" thread, was simply to show you that I used the Detail Spray on a ceramic coating since the conversation had previously been about how you have a few bottles of detail spray, and didn't know if that was acceptable to use on your ceramic coated vehicles... I understand how I could have miscommunicated but let me try to clear that up: I wasn't sharing that post to communicate that you have to get the Mega Foam, nor was it to say that Mega Foam is superior to Car Shampoo. In fact, I think it's perfect that you have a gallon of Car Shampoo. Adams Car Shampoo is well known as one of the (if not THE) best car soap on the market. I go through car shampoo more than any other product. It's the best.
  13. Here, I posted about a quick wash I did with Detail Spray on my ceramic coating (my post is on Page 3). I realize the post is highlighting the Mega Foam's performance, but just so you can see photo evidence of what it Detail Spray looked like aesthetically on the ceramic coating.
  14. Agreed with both @Rich and @falcaineer You can use Detail Spray on interior or really any surface other than a car. I use it on my computer screens at work, my lamp, and on my Dundie Trophy and my file cabinets. I use it to clean my phone and my watch and really anything I see that needs some sprucing. It's really a cool product. I also will use it on my ceramic coated car. I don't very often because I know that it can effect the hydrophobic effects of the ceramic coat. But it's quick, and it's easy, and the smell is iconic. Sometimes I miss the nice Detail Spray glow. And if I don't have easy access to something like a Ceramic Waterless wash I'll use detail spray. Still looks great on a ceramic coat, but I don't want to do it everytime so I don't ruin the point of having a ceramic coat.
  15. @Rich That's a good lookin big boys meal.
  16. Yes! Waterless was is safe to use on ceramic coating. It will tackle light dirt/dust easily. Check out Rinseless wash you may be interested in that. It can save you some money because you can dilute 16:1 in water to make a bottle of waterless wash. i do love ceramic waterless wash, it’s is good for cleaning and leaving a small amount of extra protection in your ceramic coat.
  17. Sorry to hear that man. And yes a light polish should take care of the coating. I always like to start with a strip wash in the hopes that the wash helps to loosen or remove some of the coating, but polishing is the more sure way of getting rid of it. for the glass.. I would start with giving a thorough cleaning with glass cleaner and a clay bar. Maybe use some all purpose cleaner on there but never let that sit for more than a few seconds. If those donor do the trick, carefully polish the glass. Polishing glass can be tricky and is very easy to screw up, so if you’re going to do it yourself, I would do it by hand with an orange hex grip pad and the orange correcting polish. Very lightly and carefully. But if your detailing friend knows what he’s doing, he should be able to take care of it.
  18. VRT May be suitable depending on the area. But I agree with @RayS ceramic spray coating would last longer. I also just love the ceramic spray coating.
  19. Yessir, I am! The first picture is from my office. I don’t know how they pulled off putting a tall building this close to the river, but I get to reap the benefits of views like this. You can kind of see reflections from the window I’m looking through. And thank you, sir.
  20. It’s always great to watch one of these videos with King @Adam he’s really good at thoroughly helping people understand what he’s doing and why.
  21. Good thread to revive. I guess I can contribute i began my day yesterday with a foggy Chattahoochee River at sunrise. then found the sunset in Central Florida. after the sunset, we ran into some fireworks from Disney while on the highway, but nothing captured well in a picture. ‘Twas a fun day
  22. Good list @RayS! Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is good for furniture and clothing Detail Spray is great on anything. I like it for screens like the TV, computer, phone, etc. I’ve seen people love to use ceramic wax on phones and tablets and that helps with the fingerprints
