i'm a big believer in karma. i would put the program back and let karma sort it out. karma logic = those that lie about more than one birthday will wind up with none - dead!

just make sure the paint is "correct" before they put the bra on. typically the installer is going to strip wash the areas they apply bra to so it adheres properly. congrats on the C7 and enjoy! i got an offer from Chevy to spend a day with the C7 at the Monticello Motor Club which is a private world class track in NY. I signed right up and am looking forward to doing it on Sept 27.

we can agree to disagree. let's leave it at that.

Well said Chase.

Anything he uses to remove what he is describing will strip wax. Rubbing vinegar on any paint isn't going to harm it. Vinegar is often the least aggressive method possible for removing water spots.

did you try vinegar? vinegar is great at removing the minerals left behind when water dries and it wont harm the paint.

stirthepot replied to GsrJake's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
I always put it on when the wheel wells are wet and let it dry. No wiping. -

Good at home pressure washer ?
stirthepot replied to Sandalwood's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Agree gas is more powerful. For what I use it for, electric/ 2000 psi is plenty and the convenience of it is great. I have it set up in the corner of my garage near the door, a T on the hose tap in the garage as well, when it want to use it I simply turn it on and pull out the hose. When I'm done I wind the hose on the reel built into the karcher. I can pull it out if needed for other cleaning jobs but 99% of my use is for washing the cars. -
Good at home pressure washer ?
stirthepot replied to Sandalwood's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I got this one from Amazon and love it Karcher X-Series featuring the Industry's First Water Cooled Induction Motor 2000PSI Electric Pressure Washer with 25-Foot Hose and Hose Reel, K5.540great pressure, not too loud at all, handy hose reel. i use it on my wheel and car. you wont regret it. -
is the plastic textured or smooth? is that residue / glue from tape or just discolored? if its smooth with no residue try some VRT if its residue hit it with APC and then some VRT. if its textured the same applies but if there is residue i would use a tooth brush to scrub the plastic to remove the residue from the texture. or is it just some soap from the wash that leaked under the tape, in which case water on a rag will probably remove it.

Machine Polishing For The First Time Tomorrow
stirthepot replied to Blackdevil77's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
start with the finishing polish and see if they corrects the paint. you always want to use the Least aggressive method possible. -
You could always rent a car and practice on that. 30 bucks well spent, and you can take the insurance if really think you will screw up the paint, although that would be hard to do. Or find a friend with a car that doesn't care about his paint, they will get a shiny car back and you will feel comfortable. Guessing the fiat has no clear, so be prepared to see your pads turn the color your paint.

Brushed out my neglected Adam's wash pads
stirthepot replied to Bootstrap's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Looks pretty good. But after a year, if washing a DD, you may want to consider replacing them. There can be bits of things in there that can swirl the paint. Just a thought. -
Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner vs Sonax Full Effect
stirthepot replied to dsmith2013's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
I was a long time sonax user, I switched. I prefer DWC a it smells better, works better IMO and comes in a better container, plus the company backing. A no Brainer IMO. -

DWC help please
stirthepot replied to SS LeadFoot's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I use SuperVRT and I don't get brown streaks. Guessing it a reaction with the Z product you are using on the tires. -
Deep wheel cleaner smell...
stirthepot replied to Sandalwood's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I was a long time user of sonax. It stunk 100x more. But after a bit I didn't notice the smell anymore. -
Prefered Method for inside wheels?
stirthepot replied to ExpressThis13's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
i have the turbo stick and the woolies. i used the turbo for about 2 years. now i use a pressure washer with deep wheel and then a quick swipe with the woolie. i get my wheels done if half the time with the pressure washer / woolie. both work, its really a matter of preference. -
Americana or Sealant?
stirthepot replied to scott750's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
sealant last longer and provides more protection. i put down sealant and then follow it with a coat of americana or patriot. this way i have the benefit of the sealant with the depth / wet look that the wax provides. so IMO applying both is the right way to go.
