  1. Just do it yourself. Nearly all of us were or are novice detailers just trying to get some paint rubbing therapy. Along with that we get to be the go to guy on the block or in the club as it were. Watch the videos , ask some questions and start out slow. Paint correction takes time. I know one guy that works his vettes one panel at a time week to week. That way he can concentrate on each and not be to overwhelmed. In a few weeks you have great looking paint this easier to now maintain.
  2. I have a PC 7424p and am interested in the swirl killer. Rather than get the mini as well I wondered if I could just convert the PC. Anyone done this? Still on the fence for the Swirl killer as I just popped for a new weber gennesis grill so funding is a little low. This way I could sorta justify it as I could still use the PC not just shelve it.
  3. Rich, Maybe you misunderstood or I didn't express myself well. Its a longer loop microfiber they are labeling as "Microfiber terry weave drying towel". No fibers to leave behind.
  4. Yup. I won't use it too often but it did good on the Jeep. I might even take the wheels off and see what it can do for the inside of the barrels. I have never been able to do anything with the insides.
  5. I just had this same issue last weekend. It was cold in the garage so I had an electric heater going. I took my big ol vat of Americana and set it in front of the heater checking it from time to time and it all melted together in a nice new smooth block. wish I had thoought about the candle warmer . That would have been easier.
  6. Sorry gang . I didn't choose that font.let me see if I can edit it.
  7. At least its the new version to me. I am not one to use wheel cleaners very often as I have first hand knowledge of what the incorrect product can and will do to clear coated wheels. I have a 1993 Corvette with clear coated wheel damage that occurred before my ownership as well as a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a similar story. I also tend not to let the wheels get to bad either. However, since Ryan was good enough to send me a bottle I thought I would try it. Let me just say my Jeep wheels have NEVER looked as good. I usually just wash with regular car wash soap mix using a detail brush and Turbo stick combo but this weekend I hosed them off, sprayed the wheel cleaner and let it sit and dwell until it started to change color. It took a good while before it started to turn purple. I mean like go get a beer and come back in 5 minutes good while. Maybe the wheels weren’t that dirty to make it activate? Once it was purplish I turbo sticked and agitated the wheels with the brush then rinsed off. Most if not all of the nooks and crannies of these snowflake wheels came cleaner than I have ever seen. The product pretty much stayed where it was sprayed and my only concern is I used nearly half the bottle on these 4 wheels. This is another great product and I think it will stay in my arsenal of cleaning products
  8. Has anyone from the Adams team seen these yet? I think they work much better than waffle weaves. Waffle weaves seem to need to be wet before they will absorb for me. maybe I'm doin' it wrong but the Terry weave I tried this weekend was awesome.
  9. I contacted customer support with a question on the viability of a product after I discovered it had mold in it. I had a gallon of rinseless wash on the shelf and had used maybe a pint out of it. While taking inventory before spring season started I decided to refill my 16 oz. Bottle that I use from and a big glob of mold came out. I filtered it out with a strainer but wasn't sure if I could still use it. Well let me tell you Ryan returned my email and happily replaced the product for me and even included a bottle of wheel cleaner. THANKS AGAIN!! I continue to be impressed by service as well as products.
  10. wow you got it bad. Nice setup. Welcome
  11. yea I have a black Grand Cherokee so I know black is hard to maintain but looks awesome when done right.
  12. Interested in buying a new or Newer vehicle. What are some mfg. paints that are easier to maintain and what cars have nightmare paint to keep swirl free? Thanks!!
  13. Never mind I found it. Cyclo -9 Lbs. Flex -7.7 Lbs PC- 6 Lbs.
  14. Can you tell me the weight difference between the cyclo and the PC?
  15. Just bite the bullet and buy the waterless wash along with the WW towels. Detail it good before the trip and coat the nose extra well with quick sealant. We recently went to TN on a trip and I did a double coat of quick sealant on the nose of the Vette. After the 4 hr trip the bugs mostly flicked off and the rest slid off with the waterless wash. Of course the next 2 days it rained every day so it was a moot point But the bugs didn't stick. I was also skeptical of the waterless wash as I used another product to wash during the winter when it was to cold to drag out the hose, but since I've tried Adam's product I like it very much and its the second thing I add to my travel detail bag. (The travel detail bag goes in the car before any luggage) Of course the Detail spray is #1. Then SVRT , Glass cleaner and Quick sealant. Boy I do have it bad.
  16. And now you're taking a hobby you enjoy and turning it into work. I've thought about detailing for friends and family as well it but i enjoy the therapeutic benefits so I think I might not enjoy it as much if I HAD to do it.
  17. Thank you very much. Since my experience has been limited to Corvettes and their hard as heck clearcoats that's good to know.
  18. That's the ones Chewy . Megs has their version and Surbuf makes one. Works on DA type buffers. I'm a rank amateur when it comes to correction so that's why I came to the pros.
  19. Has anyone tried microfiber (surbuf) type pads with Adams products? Just wondering if they might speed up the correction process.
  20. It may be better to order from your "Local " dealer rather than directly from Colorado. You may not be able to take advantage of the daily specials BUT the difference in shipping cost may nullify the savings over buying from someone closer anyway. Just another option to explore.
  21. EXCELLENT IDEA! For those of us where its now to cold to detail now is the time to build a great detail cart. I know it will save me time and probably space in the garage.
