  1. True... i KNOW i saw these really cool black wedges though.. i swear i did LOL...
  2. HI! well, I dont have a huge work area, and surely dont have a lift to get the car UP a little... but ... one of the worst aspects of doing my car (any car) is ALL of the low areas all around the car. Back breaking, but ... sometimes i feel like these areas see minor neglect due to how awkward it is to get down there with machines / etc.... even on shop stools. is there ANYONE here that knows of and can recommend an easier solution? like, big wedges or unique "ramps" of some (affordable) kind to gain some inches for these areas? I could have SWORN I saw something while at Carlisle for the Saab stuff... or was I dreaming? This isnt earth shattering... I just yearn for a little more "lift" when working on the lower areas of the vehicle. V
  3. Ive done it both ways (by hand, and by machine...) and either way is totally do-able. by hand is much easier than you think, and still effective!
  4. Ya, a couple of my customers that I travel to... also have no shade, so I start around 7am and pack a lunch! And they are always blown away and love the outcome.
  5. I never have shade, never did. ... thanks to the Adams stuff though, it makes it workable. Very early on is good, and the post 3PM hours too. Ive yet to have any issues but i DID use a big Canopy once while doing a 2 day correction on my previous 2010 SS during a FREAK heatwave. that was fun... grrrrr For drying, I still do the old school "pooling rinse"... after rinsing the car with the normal hose "gun", i take it off and just "pool" the hose water down the entire car, ... creating the big pools of water that roll off, and make drying MUCH easier. I also recommend getting the BEST drying towel, and believe me... the NEW Adams towel (super plush, not waffle) is a God Send. Griot's makes similar and even that one is a beast. (Most likely the same material and density - they are powerhouses). It really makes a world of difference.
  6. Correct! One of 3... pristine, low miles, 900 Turbo. My buddy's... we placed 2X this year at Carlisle! It proudly wears my paint correction and Adam's touch! and THANK YOU!
  7. why thank you, sir. hope your day was great and the SS got some love, too. ill always pine for that car. my pre-camaro obession was the G8 GXP.... sigh.
  8. SO ... it was kinda crappy today. (happy memorial day, also, kids!) so i was just gonna reseal my windshield. turned into: 1. waterless wash from top to shoes 2. detail spray "dry" 3. sealant + glaze 4. windows cleaned and sealed (including the INSIDE windshield treated with brilliant glaze) 5. touch ups and dressings he wasnt too dirty so ... i think it was a success. did my big order during the sale.... soo...... NEXT UP late Spring correction and CERAMIC COATING!!!! Happy day, peeps!~ i hope everyone had a nice Mem Day weekend, and if you did anything special to your ride, or ordered lots of new goodies, ... feel free to show / share with me. V
  9. what was said below by MEDIC: saved me lots of time as well, and worth paying my "apprentice" some extra cash: "4. Consider getting a partner/employee. I have one guy I work with who does amazing work. He's far better at interiors than I'll ever be and the two of us can work quickly and efficiently together. At the same time, his availability helps to make our scheduling easier. He's capable of tackling a vehicle by himself..."
  10. YAY! im finalizing my big MEM DAY order with the ceramic coating kit nestled in the shoppping caart! trying glass boost too. ive always used Adams glass cleaner towels and sealant... watching the Glass Boost video sold me! Been raining a lot here too. LIKE TODAY. BOOOOO!
  11. hell yes! im very close with my dealership.... VERY. may ask for some garage space in exchange for doing his '16 CTS-V. NO LIE! win / win!!!! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
  12. its an older bottle too... and still works whenever i need it! good stuff!!!
  13. i swear i thought the new glass cleaner (which is the best YET) smells like cucumber... and i too think that the wheel cleaner is .... ODDLY ... good. hhahahah. powerful, but good.
  14. YUP! thank you !!!!! done in no time flat.
  15. dude, thank you!!! REVIVE and the blue hex... done in MOMENTS!!!
  16. Thanks! Ive been a Adams nut for almost 10 years now ... keeps getting better. BOOST is certainly testament to that, and I cant wait to do the full kit.
  17. THANKS! I'm in the same boat, but im going to find / utilize an full indoor area for the kit application. Preferably (well, perhaps its gotta be) air conditioned. It will also be my first time trying strip wash for prep. Im excited! My swirls arent too bad so the machine process will be less painful. (my attention span is the enemy). Cant wait for this weekend's BIG order!
  18. HI! i got my SS in October, and since cars are a mess when they are shipped, i did a full correction when it was brand new. Clay, 3 stage polish, paint sealant, and wax. Since that, I do maintenance washes and keep it very tidy. Always drying with DS, and maybe a quick sealant or glaze. Last weekend was the first time i used the BOOST standalone. I basicly did the entire 2 bucket wash, dry with DS, then LIGHTLY misted each panel and wiped down. Then, I always grab ANOTHER fresh towel, and go over the whole car gently and minimally with DS to touch up drips, anything that may have smeared, etc. Comes out insane. Next... im doing a strip wash, correction, and coating. (kit). But, I didnt use BOOST as a replacement for the DS. I did everything as usual, then the boost. I couldve done some glaze after that for even more POP in the black, but i lost daylight! LOL! I need a massive garage. To live in.
  19. Yah, the boost as a stand-alone is awesome. Almost 7 days in (and lots of rain as usual) ... im still lookin pretty good. Getting the full kit this weekend with the big sale!!!!
