  1. Im curious to see how this thread unfolds (HA!) ... i just had this happen to me for the 1st time last weekend, during and after my 2 day FLEX detailing... i just assumed it was the high humidity i dealt with, and the fact that... maybe its time to retire all of my micros to more "utility" status - and order all new ones for a fresh start.
  2. thanks buddy! yeh, i have some BG and was planning on that as well, rest assured! i love the EASE of use of that product... and the instant WOW... thanks!!! V
  3. HAHAHA: "big ham sammich!" Yum!
  4. Heres 2 more from dusk-ish last night. Still "cell" pics, (grainy, ughhh)... but kinda neato regardless. i AM proud of it! HA! Thanks! OH MAN! now i gotta get some of that new detailing tape! JUST SAW IT!
  5. WOW! funny.... i wish i just had this a few days ago! the standard blue was ok, .. .but... Im SURE this is REALLY good! Its gotta be!
  6. Yeah... the paint kept fairly COOL - i even did the spray-on ice water trick./ But all things considered - it wasnt too bad. Thats why i feel better about it now... doing it in the future, in AC / climate control - I think I could really rock it to near-pristine. But like I said, it came out sweet as it is. And hey, – THANK YOU!!!
  7. You know man, thats so true. I was just emailing my other SS buddy... and almost said the same thing. DD = swirls come back. But, like you guys said in this forum... you learn more each time... I feel much more confident with the FLEX now, and I feel like i hit a groove with how much / how long – to get the results i need. Im much more comfy now. Is it perfect right now? Hell no. Does it look like molten black glass, better than the day i drove it home? OH YES!!! People at work / friends... were just flabbergasted. And now I really feel good about the maintenance and keeping this look going, and of course... taking the proper care. AWE SS OME
  8. that was me last weekend.... INFERNO
  9. Ok, cool.... that about makes sense. and yeah, im pretty "strict" with my maintaining... cool!!! I do have BG and its a nice, easy quick shine-up! thanks!
  10. im a survivor of a FLEX, 2 day session in a total heatwave on a black camaro. BUT next time, i really really want to nail a way to do it in an indoor, large AC'ed workspace. the heat was insanity - but like mentioned above, its do-able! i used a nice 12' up canopy and even squeezed in some garage time (very tight space, but i had to cool it down)... v
  11. Hello! In the machine polishing section i posted my FLEX stuff.. and some pics. Always room for a better job (learning still) but the SS came out wonderfully. Im very good with my proper 2-bucket maintenance washes, about weekly IF it needs it...(daily driver). My question now, in gereral... after 3-stage flex polishing, sealant, and americana... what to do to "maintain"? Like, machine polish? Coat of wax? Remember, my black camaro is a daily driver and doesnt see much garage just due to storage and house stuff... How do i keep up this great shine beyond just the 2 bucket wash and DS spray/drying? Yes, stupid question and im no dummy to this.. but... Im curious about the feedback... V
  12. cell pics, not too bad.. doesnt do it justice. but i survived. i learned a lot more this time... during a heatwave, too. 15+ hours total... came out nice. surely not 100% "corrected"... but massively better, and now i know my baseline. and- the next time... its gotta be in AC indoors, somehow. But ... it came out nice. Deep, wet and massive reflections! V
  13. HI! it went well. i can now say, i survived detailing a black camaro in a 2 day heatwave. wow. ill post some pics soon. however- next time, i really think the only option is indoor / climate controlled / COOL. while the job turned out great, i didnt correct 100% just cause i really think the excessive humidity and heat played a part... but the car looks like black glass. the reflections last night at dusk were insane. its smooth as satin and never looked better. like someone else (or several) mention in this forum.. each time you learn something new. Staytuned:D
  14. God, dude?!!! that emoticon was a "loser" symbol - I DIDNT MEAN THAT! HAHHAHAHAH! of all things!!!!! but yes, il be hydrated as H*LL! hhahAHhah!!! THIS is what i meant: Phahhaha need more coffee!
  15. TONS of water..(hahha). hey man (in Marlton) .. thanks for that offer! i already have the arrangements made for this weekend, but i would surely take you up on that in the near future for routine up-keep other than just an "Adams Wash" ... so.. shoot me a PM with your info, seriously. Thanks!
  16. Thanks for the tip! And i actually will be under a pop up tent / canopy... so in total shade the whole time, and HOPEFULLY that should help. Even though i "could"... i wouldnt do mine in direct sun... its like hovering above the sun and slowly melting! HAHAH! And im a summer guy... but i would wind up gushing sweat all over my work. Believe me, it happens! THANKS!!!
  17. Thanks, all!!! Hopefully all goes swell... i really hope its not as "hot" as the weather is calling for. Im not concerned about "me" (ill be fine, and have a pool! ha!)... I just wonder about humiditiy, temperature and the polishes. _V
  18. wow - ive been outta the loop a little too long! i had no idea!
  19. THANKS! keep in mind, the PC was over a year ago - i missed a whole season just from the pace of life. BAH! My interior is sparkling... got that out of the way, plus its never really "bad", ever... Yes, i intend on getting up early - i just dont think (due to work and other stuff) that i can start the "little stuff" friday night. Keep in mind i just had an impeccable wash and dry on saturday... but yes, i need to do that again, full clay... and BEGIN! Hmmmm
  20. Hey gang! Well, first off... this weekend is my first crack at the FLEX polisher on my 2010 Camaro SS (black). Its been PC'ed once, and has had meticulous Adams washes regularly... of course, as a DD, its funked. Swirls, water spots, slight haze. Almost like the paint on the Camaro in the updated 2012 Flex video featuring Adam! But here's the kicker. I cant do it indoors – im using a pop up canopy for the weekend. And, here in South Jersey... its gonna get HOT and HUMID. Do you think its smart to give this a whack with "heatwave #2" on its way? or, will i be ok in the shade. Thanks!!! And any pointers are welcome. Vin
  21. awesome! im hitting my camaro ss (black) this weekend for the 1st time with the FLEX ... im a bit skitzy about it, but Im hoping it goes well! NICE VIDEO, too!!! Great!
