Last night I went to a local car show. There were about 30 or so cars there, 90% being the "Fast and the Furious" crowd:help:
Anyway, when I showed up, I got the standard funny looks and jeers. No problem. I parked the wagon, popped the hood and started answering questions:cheers:
The most asked question was " Is that a new engine?" No, it's the original, 13 year old, never removed, 130K mile engine. After explaining that it was "only/just detailed using ---these products right here------, I now have 4 more engine details to do this week. I just can't seem to get a day off since I started using Adams stuff:cheers:
Here are the pics:
enjoy;)

Not sure where to put this. Mods move as appropriate.
I started this as an "apples to apples" comparison between what I have used and what I use now, but quickly realized that I had apples, oranges, pineapples and a few bananas:o
I have - as I'm sure most of you have also- been told the same thing for so long that that it became fact. like:
1. liquid carnauba wax can NEVER be as good as a paste
2. Sealants have more "shine", but carnauba is "wetter and deeper"
3. There is a direct correlation between shine, durability, and ease of application
With this in mind, I set out on the following:
Tape off a section of my hood and, following the directions printed on the respective products, do a direct side by side comparison. What I ended up with was totally unexpected. Again, I used products that did the same thing while being close, are different by design.
What I started with:
Adams FMP and SMW with the Gen2 yellow, white and black pads;
Pinnacle Advanced Finishing polish, Signature II Carnauba paste wax, LCC yellow, white and gray (AKA black) pads;
Adams WAY cool plush microfiber towel;
PC 7424 polisher and Adams detail spray as a lube for all pads.
details of pics:
1.The test area
2-5 the final results. (white marks are paint chips as this is a daily driver)
What impressed me was the fact that I can't tell the difference. Adams sealant is not only JUST as shiny and deep as the wax, but it lasts longer too (wax is good for about 30 days outside 24/7) and is just as easy to apply and remove.
In short, I'm sold.

Someone in Washington FINALLY did something good!
First time home buyer credit. Used to be a $7500 credit that you had to pay back over 15 years- amounting to an interest free loan. Now it does NOT have to be paid back! I just did a buddys taxes and he's getting back $14,100:banana:

starting with SWH, then revive, fine machine, and then butter wax....Thanks Chris..GO ARMY!
Most likely a typo, but I HAVE to say something....
SHR, FMP, then revive. Keep in mind that FMP is a mixture of SHR and revive.

I find the "robot" ones are annoying at best. You are "just looking" and this popup window shows up with someone asking to help. Feels like advertising to me.
On the other hand, if this will be a "click through" or customer initiated chat, then, yes, It is a good idea.
Just my $0.02

Here is one where he the WaxDaddy is using a product to clean carpets that I don't think many would recommend.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eED6K1RrduM&feature=related
I was careful to make sure the video was clean of "unfriendly" language. The WaxDaddy is known to drop the F bomb in videos.
Isn't that an Adams bucket he's using?

we have a day driver that had to share his truck with an OCD night driver. The night driver just nit-picked EVERYTHING!!! So, the day driver armor-alled everything, and I mean everything in the cab of the truck. Seats, steering wheel, pedals, rubber floor..... everything. If it wasn't glass of cloth, it got sprayed. Night driver jumped in and proceded to slide right off the vinyl seat and onto the floor betwen the seats. He said that he grabbed the steering wheel and it made it worse. Took him 10 min to get back out of the truck. Never said another word to the day driver about cleanliness.
