I'm in the processes of polishing up my exhaust setup however I have run into 1 issue, the tips have road grime and buildup on them. I am sanding the pipes of the exhaust for a mirror like finish but the tips are now going to be the eyesore with road grime and other grit/grime. The exhaust is stainless but the tips should be chrome I would guess. What would be a good method to get build up off without scratching the finish? Maybe some fine steel wool?
