Ultimately I ended up with a car closer to home but I trusted the people who were going to look at them for me.

Those are some of my favorite vette's as well for pretty much exactly what you mentioned. They are (somewhat) reasonable still and look great, plus you don't see them everyday. Black with red leather interior for me please though as far as color, or silver and red interior. Red leather interiors just worked on those car's for some reason.

Very slowly IMO and use waterless wash. Also might be leary of using SVRT and undercarriage spray until you get where youre going. These 2 products attract dust from my experience but you can't drive after applying those for a short time.

The great white drying towels will suffice if you don't happen to have any.

How many WW towels do you have? I've found I need more towels than I would have thought to keep the finish nice. I will say though that I was amazed at how well it all worked once I had more than 2 towels for the car.

If you have some time when you are here the saltlick is some good BBQ. There is another saltlick in north Austin but nothing like the original. Round rock donuts are pretty good and not too far off 35. Mmmmm donuts haha. Both those places were on man vs food if you want to see the places beforehand.

The last times I've been on 35 believe it or not have been my best experiences BY FAR. They are currently working on bridge construction between Waco and Austin so that is a crapshoot if they will have the freeway closed the night you are driving through, I think you can jump on the txdot website to see specifics of the work. It's not the same but when we came back down from Chicago we went through Memphis and hit up with I20. As far as the track.. be very very prepared, they built the track quickly and the roads still have yet to be fully completed for the amount of people there. It's a good thing you have hotel room because I know it was nuts for those when it opened. People were getting calls at random from everyone going through the phone books asking for them to rent their house for the weekend for insane amounts. Enjoy the experience I wish I could go to it!

First ask yourself how dirty are the wheels/tires? If they arn't that bad I would suggest diluting the APC as it is pretty potent in full strength form. And yes, its good to use on it, just don't let the APC sit on the wheels and dry on them but it will however remove any sealant or waxes you had on them.

How about a carrier like this for the bottled products but with an Adam's log on it?
