Pics of the stables after a much needed Adam's Bath and Detail...
JHL88 replied to MajCTS-V's topic in Detailing Write-Ups
awesome. which one is your favorite? -
Set traps and if you catch one call animal control. Can you tell if they have collars on them? If so, see if you can lure them with treats or something and if you get a hold of one and call the owner(s) and tell them your concern. I can't stand cats, im a dog person myself. My parents have had the same orange cat come into their yard in the mornings and my dad does not hesitate to break out my old BB gun and fire away. Letting animals loose like that is not right IMO and people should be more responsible with their pets. Another short story, a few weeks ago my wife gets a call from her brother (also a dog lover) and he was driving home from work and hit a dog that ran in the middle of the road. One of the owners, a female, came out of the woods (had the dog off the leash) and started cussing at my brother in law saying he's a big guy and is going to hurt you blah blah. So he comes out of the woods following his GF and starts pounding on my brother in law. When i heard the story I was thinking to myself some people have a lot of ****** sense.

Jason, It's very understandable to be concerned, after all most of the people on here have spent money on the current green pads and polishes that will be out the door. The way i see it is why wouldn't we be able to use the old polishes with the new pads? It won't ruin anything, but it may not be as effective at removing defects as the new products. Second, as far as the green pad goes, when the day comes that Adam's no longer sells the pads they will still offer the orange and white foam pads. Im sure people have used SSR with an orange pad and got decent results. Sometimes we just have to work with what we have ya know? I don't have the answers to everything but sometimes you just have to adapt to newcomings. Im sure they have plenty of green pads left & will most likely show up on the clearance section online. Like i said i don't know much im just going by what i believe and notice from being here. Hope this helps!

What to do with the green pads.
JHL88 replied to kdwalkeraz's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
keeping the old polishes + old pads yields more options in your arsenal along with the MF pads & new polishes. Quite a lot of combinations you could use for different things. -
Thats what i don't understand at all. The new Impala actually looks pretty good and if GM would make it RWD again, just make an SS out of that with an LS3, LS7, LT1 etc. I think GM had it right with the G8

i will own a ctsv wagon one of these days... another great job man!

sunroof = $900, spare tire package $500. other than that there will be no options besides color according to the article

its not bad at all. more ease of use for some features like uploading pics and more customizable features.

http://www.autoblog.com/2013/06/04/2014-chevrolet-ss-priced-from-44-470-w-poll/ I have to say i am disappointed. I was hoping it would be in the $30k range and not very customizable either. I wish it was packing at least an LS7 or the new LT1 and i'd rather have a G8 GXP or a SRT8 Charger. The looks are lacking IMO not very aggressive

Me and my wife (GF at the time) about 2.5 years ago. Don't have any good recent photos. i dug this one up from Afghanistan about 3 years ago when i served in the AF. haha

What happened to my Americana?
JHL88 replied to JHL88's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
i keep all my adam's stuff in my laundry closet with the door closed. i used it maybe 2 months ago. Last time i cracked it open was to boil it in water to make it uniform in the container. about a month ago. i was thinking i didn't put the lid on all the way or something because it has the old style hard to open ones. -
What happened to my Americana?
JHL88 posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
i opened up my Americana today and it looked a little funky when i grazed my hand lightly over the wax it felt like it was dried up. I rubbed it considerably harder and it became moist like a wax should feel but it wasn't the same as before. You guys think that its salvageable? -
very nice. good luck with that beast!

Detailing Weekend?
JHL88 replied to MrHot88's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
i would like to have done a FULL correction/debadge on my wife's black '12 grand caravan. its already 7:20 and the sun is peeking out. already off to a bad start -
yea, i think were talking about the same gloves. Honestly, like you said, they really don't feel like microfiber at all. It's more like cotton/polyester with something else in it. i will NOT be using these on paint at all
-
Thanks for the tip. i don't hate them, just hate the "peanuts." I know its small, but its just one of those things. I also think its silly to send some gloves in a big box covered in foam. Makes no sense at all
-
i absolutely can't stand these things. i placed an order with another detailing retailer for some microfiber gloves. I thought they would be useful for the hard-to-reach areas like suspension components, interior etc. I opened the box and gazed upon the endless mount of foam nuggets, or whatever you call them. I became so upset i almost felt offended. Just another reason why I love you guys for using the brown paper wrap instead of these. Sorry, just needed to vent. These gloves better be worth it.
