Hey everyone! Feels good to be back here 1st off. Been out of the detailing game for a while now and slowly getting back to it. Bought a new whip back in September and want to keep this thing clean (as much as I can) purchased the graphine ceramic spray and put a coat on about a month ago topped it off with rinse and coat 2 weeks later. Nice to see Adam's still has easy-to-use quality products! Love the spray coating highly recommend. Anyway this is stormtrooper😎

did anyone catch the 16 oz. bottle of throwback red shampoo for $129.99? its listed under product suggestions towards the bottom. I laughed.
-
Agreed. It would be a smart idea to evolve H20 GG into a touchless spray on rinse off sealant.

I really don't see the point of it either IMO because Im not into whatever this fad is, but if they can sell it why not? I think as long as their customer service and detailing products are great and evolving then do whatever they want. Its not my bottle of beer though. Im not paying $13+ shipping for a detail spray and $6 for a sticker! If the new ventures takes away from the original part of the business than I would have a problem with that. I haven't been on here much than I have in the last 8 or 9 years or bought as much as I used to so I can't really speak too much on that

rookie back, strip washing not going good
JHL88 replied to enoch7fa's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I think there's a misconception in the detailing world regarding strip soaps. IME a fresh layer of a quality sealant will not come off solely on a "safe" strip wash. Even claying and IPA isn't guaranteed to completely remove it. The for sure way to remove a sealant would be a cleaner polish like Revive or an abrasive polish if you want to start fresh. A sealant that has been on paint for a while and has had the opportunity to degrade would be stripped easier from a strip wash but its hard to say for certain. Maybe Adams team has created a sealant that will be removed from their own strip wash but that's not to say other sealants would be removed the same. I also recommend using an actual panel wipe like a coating prep etc. in place of IPA. Strip wash is better than traditional soaps for removing road film, bugs, tar etc. -
thats awesome. such a BA kit!

Yeah, and Im one of those people. Used to have a garage however not anymore. Northern VA gets pretty humid in the summer time and Im probably going to invest in the new cordless Flex when it releases and I bought some other polishes as well to compensate. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

I can spot you a 16oz. I think. Pretty sure I have enough. What do you have to trade?
-
Yeah there seems to be a lot of advancements in polishes especially within the last year it seems like in the detailing community

Rupes Mille or Flex 3401
JHL88 replied to Ls1transam's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
My guess would be the Mille would be smoother than the Flex. Im waiting for the new Flex battery operated 15mm. -
Still have a gallon left over from before the blue one released. I've been hoarding it a while..

Chemical Guys or Adam’s
JHL88 replied to Briggs Michael's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I would say there's a couple CG products that work really well but in comparison to Adam's they have more choices than Adam's and I think Adam's is easier to use and IMO superior products overall Plus their customer service is not on Adam's level either. They're also kind of shady from my experience. -
Something new in the works!

One step polish durability

That's about on par with most top tier AIO's. No surprises there. -
When I placed my order for this hoodie with a quickness I skipped over the part where it says to order a size up. Seeing if anyone needs a smaller size. I have a XL looking for a 2X. Still new and unwashed.

Revive is a cleaner polish as opposed to an abrasive polish. When your paint does not need correction but you want to shine it up, its a great option. It will also remove any wax or sealant that is on the finish. You can use it with a polishing pad on a machine for very light correction however it will not be the revive that cuts but the pad itself that generates the correcting ability
