Ummmmm how much do you love it

Finally got the car wash in the brief rain respite. Good mental stress medicine.

Of course we're back to getting more showers today given the thunder outside.

Atlanta has been drenched for weeks.

Got to use the foam cannon. Love it!

And got to work on some puppy scratches breaking in the new mini-SK. I like it. Goes great with the Flex3401.

It was the perfect size for the nook I was working on where the tailgate coming down to the rear bumper.

Especially when I'm washing at my typical time.....10pm-1am

We've had rain almost every day for weeks, and my foam cannon has been sitting patiently waiting to be used.

I had to get new attachments for my pressure washer (which worked great and very reasonable off that site with Prime).

I've been using a Gilmour foam gun for years and was never totally pleased with it. The foam just oozes out and doesn't stay on the car long. And now the water leaks everywhere at the fitting. Just a mess overall.

Now this Adam's Foam Cannon is a whole new ballgame.

Thick foam....and it "sticks" to the car for a good long while.

What did I wash, shine or polish today?

Since getting my mini-SK and foam cannon, it's rained for about 2 weeks straight down here in Atlanta. It's driving me nuts!

My daughter spilled nearly 1/2 a gallon of water in the back floor well of my wife's convertible a few weeks ago and I didn't find out until days later. Peee------eewwww.

The odor neutralizer did a great job.

I removed the front seat and seatbelt allowing me to pull up the carpet/foam some to air it out after sopping up the standing water.

I liberally applied the ON to the floor mat, carpet, foam and then also in the HVAC vents.

All's good now.

Regarding your carpet brush.

I have 2. One is used primarily for the cars and the other for in the house cleaning up dog accidents.

That one gets a fair amount of fur and carpet lint in it.

I was able to clean it out really well just using a metal pick. (a small screwdriver would probably work too, but the end of mine had a 90deg bend to help grab the lint). I spent about 20-30 minutes at it, but probably got 98% of lint/fur out.

What's the problem, take all the crap out and put it on her side of the bed! Bet she never leaves the car a mess again!!!

She'd just push it over on my side. Plenty of room there , since I'd be relegated to the couch.

Wife came home from work Thursday and ASKED me to wash and detail her car!!!! She said " can I take your car to work tomorrow and maybe you could clean mine?" So yesterday did 2 bucket wash, clay, paint correction, LPS, Buttery wax, total interior and glass. Looks good as I wrap up. She takes it shopping today, I go out in garage after she gets home and, BIRD POOP on hood, fast food wrappers and garbage on passenger floor. I give up!

I thought about deleting post, but then changed my mind and will try to edit the photos from my home computer later tonight or tomorrow................still shows enough to get the point across..........

Maybe just rotate 180deg instead of 360deg?

RocketJohn is the guy that introduced me to Adams as a Christmas present of polishes and pads last year..  I know him in real life and he and I toured Adams when I visited him a couple of months ago.

....a Christmas present. That's like giving meth as a present. The products, the process, the stress relief, the results, the pride.....it's like a healthy, albeit wallet-denting drug.

Midnight wash. I'm not an early riser, and hate washing in the sun. So it's relaxing to do the nighttime washes. Neighbors think I'm nuts. (sorry for the crappy nighttime iPhone pics....not the best setup to take night shots.)

Did a waterless wash on my wife's white cabriolet in the background too. It got its midnight bath last weekend and only needed a touchup.

Looking forward to getting my foam cannon and pressure washer attachments next week so I can improve on this foaming the Gilmour gun provides.

I'm looking to replace my 2 flourescent fixtures (1 is on the fritz) with 2 or 4 of these LED versions.

The flourescent fixtures are flush mounted to the ceiling with wiring all hidden running to a switch inside the house by the garage/kitchen door.

Any experts here on that?

These are linkable and can be flushmounted, but the cord comes out the end, not back, so it doesn't really look plug n play.

I really like the idea of mounting 2 of these in place of my existing fixtures. Then if I decide I want more light, I'll just get 2 more and link one to each of the new ones without having to deal with any more wiring.

The OEM brake pads that Audi provides put out crazy dust. I couldn't drive 2 days before they started looking like crap.

So for the last few Audis (I've had a lot over the last 23 years), I've been using Akebono pads. Basically zero dust, and I cannot perceive any performance difference, albeit I don't track my cars. If you are tracking your car, then you probably have dedicated track pads anyway where dust is not a concern.

Akebono is not the only low/zero-dust pad, so search around the STi forums.

The pads are reasonably priced too, especially compared to ceramic rotors. I just got a set for my allroad, front and rear shipped from Amazon for $114.74 total.

Did a quick wash on my wife's '07 white Audi Cabriolet.....from 10:30-00:30 last night.

I'm not a crack of dawn kind of person, so the night owl washes work best for me, regardless of how crazy my neighbors think I am.

First time using the Adam's Tire Shine. I just use VRT on my allroad as it's a bit more rugged-looking, but the tire shine looks great on the drop top. Mmmmmm that banana......smells great too.

It made me realize how in need of a correction her car needs even as a DD. The white doesn't show it unless you really catch the light, but despite claying the top surfaces and sealing, it just isn't as slick. I could really tell when buffing off the sealant; took too much work compared to my allroad which is close to perfect for a DD.

Out comes the Flex and glass sealant to attack hopefully next week. It's bugging me now.

Oh, almost forgot...what sparked the late-night detail.

My daughter's 1/2 gallon water bottle spilled behind the driver's seat. Ugggh.

We get in the car.... peeee-eeeeewwwww.

Me: What the??? 

Wife: Oh, the water bottle spilled

Me: When was that? 

Wife: A couple of days ago.

Me: Why didn't you tell me????    Take my car tomorrow. I'll handle it.

Wife: You always do. 

So I took the driver's and rear seat out plus seat belt and lower door trim to be able to pull the carpet back and dry everything out.

The rear floor mat weighed about 4 pounds and the carpet was just a puddle. Ugggghh!! I should've taken pictures.

But.....all is saved.

I just bought the Adam's Odor Neutralizer. What timing!

After soaking up all I could with towels, the Adam's ON did a wonderful job.

Of course with the driver's seat out, I took the opportunity to clean up all the driver's side carpet with Adam's CUC.

And then gave a thorough cleaning/conditioning to the driver's seat and rear lower bench seat with Adam's LIC+LC.

MUCH better....at least for a little while. My wife isn't quite as....umm.....picky and OCD about her car as I am about mine.

EDIT: It's been almost a week, and no smell. Thanks Adam's!

Just used the gray, liquid Paint Sealant for the first time.

Smells like pina colada or similar. Nice!

The fastest: APC, Wheel Cleaner, Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner (I use CUC in the house a lot too)

Next: Glass Cleaner, Car Shampoo

I go through a medium amount of VRT too. I bought a 36oz of that; a gallon would be too much.

Thanks. Don't know what was up with the forums, but it wouldn't let me log in consistently and wouldn't let me post at all. Dylan reset my password for me, but I was still having issues. After a couple of 'resets' and no fix over several months, I gave up. I probably haven't tried to log in at least 6 months.

The cracked bottles made it check it out again and now it works. I don't know what changed, but I'm glad it did. All my gallery pictures are gone, but there weren't many. S'all good.

Nick took care of everything, folks. Preaching to the choir I know, but the Adam's team is top notch. They never settle for just meeting customer expectations. They always go above and beyond the call of duty.

I've had issues logging onto the Adam's forums for about a year. I don't know what happened, but it's working again. Glad to be back. I've missed ya'll!

Anyway, a few of my 16oz sprayer bottles are getting cracks in the bottom and I need replacements. Lo and behold, they aren't on the website anymore. After searching the forums, I see they are waiting on a replacement perhaps? There doesn't appear to be much forum activity on them since August. What did I miss....besides a lot?

I see the 4oz and 36oz are being discontinued, but didn't read any definite on the 16oz.

I'm dyin' here! I had a couple of empties left over, but it's getting confusing with APC in an old DS bottle, Interior Cleaner in an old WW bottle.

To get any new 16oz bottle, do I have to buy a pre-filled one? I have gallon refills up to my nose and running out of ways to empty them.

Every time I thing I have the process down, I'm scrolling through the forums and get reminded of something I forgot. Nothing big, just an "oh yeah, that would've helped".

For me:

-I would forget the pooling rinse half the time; my GWDT would be dripping. I think this one is finally in my long-term memory.

-Now I find I forget to detail spray after the pooling rinse, prior to drying. The pooling rinse does such a good job, I'm not sure it's needed, but I'll give 'er a shot next time.....if I remember.
