  3. I recently upgraded to a Nikon D5100 after my son left my Nikon D60 on the back bumper of my Denail....yup, it rolled off under acceleration. Fortunately for him he know owns the D60 which after tumbling off my bumper it survived with minimal damage. But going back to your question, I love my Nikon D5100, it shoots awesome photos as you were able to see in the detail that Dylan and myself did to my clients Lamborghini Aventador. I do admit to using my Samsung Galaxy 2 often also, its just so practical and it takes awesome pics for a phone.
  4. A couple pics of my Denali and My 53F100 2012 F100 Western National's Thank you to everyone at Adams for your support, donating the raffle buckets, the extra goodies and for going the extra mile! Everyone loves your products! For this Innovative Detailing received a nice plaque in recognition of our support.
  5. Had the opportunity to provide my services in Laguna Beach in an area called "Top of the world" which is basically.... Heaven I spent about 15hrs total today with my son correcting and restoring the exterior only on this fine 23 year old gem of a 911 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera C2 Cabriolet Never before professionally detailed to this level, this second owner has had it for 22 of its 23 years... After the initial extensive correction stage, Adams FMP with the Flex w/gen 4 white pad followed by Americana made this classic 911 pop! Tomorrow....more work at Innovative...
  6. Very sharp looking Camaro! I couldn't agree with you more, for us at Innovative Detailing using Adams Americana is the icing on the cake! The results are phenominal!
  7. Awesome Job, love the candy apple color and the pop it has!
  8. One of my latest Corvette C6 paint restorations provided recently for this previously owned but newly acquired Z51 that I performed last week. Completely treated with Adams, this C6 took on a totally new dimension in a deep black color from its previous state of an ashy black color. The new owner came to me concerned that the paint was just very dull with lots of fine hairline scratches, RDS and contaminants as well. Upon inspection it was evident that the passenger door had been refinished which the owner was unaware of. Sometimes being a detailer you are actually like an inspector looking for tell tale signs of refinished panels and body work. Once you gather this info and pass it on to the customer, many times they are disappointed since they were unaware of it. Here is a series of photos taken before, during and after of this very sweet C6 Before condition During paint prep and correction Final Shots Sorry for the lack of sun photos, but its appearance was short lived as it tucked away behind the building.. Any questions please feel free to ask, and I always appreciate everyone's comments Have a great day!
  9. Here is a fine example of an original owner (still owned) 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible that was given to my customer on her 15th birthday back in 1967. Of course the paint has been resprayed many years ago, but the rest of the vehicle is original and intact. I had the opportunity to detail this gorgeous muscle car back in Jan 2010 and recently the owner was approached by a studio who wanted to shoot it in a commercial. So last week I set out with my son and my Adams arsenal to give this GTO a show level detail... Below is a series of photos of the detail from the begging to the end which left this Pontiac GTO "Glowing" I was also given a specific list by of photos by the owner that the studio wanted prior to the shoot which I included below in the after shots.. Let the games begin After surface prep all paint was polished using Adams FMP, Gen 4 white pad and the Flex monster.. The chrome was in desire need of hard water spot removal, so out came the Adams blue metal polish for this task. Finished shots.. Adams for the win on this GTO! Green Wheel Cleaner, All Purpose Cleaner and VRT handled this combo, from the wheels, red lines, rims and fiberglass OEM well liners Lots "o" chrome was treated with Adams blue metal polish Ready for the camera Fully functioning electric top, man so simple and yet all these luxury car makers make it so complicated with all the electronics... Thank you for viewing and to all at Adams for your awesome support!
  10. Enjoying my day off, Monday's are my Sunday's...... Today's project involves replacing the OEM suspension on my 2006 Denali that has finally quit. I am going to give it a try, it seems pretty simple...replace all four corners with new OEM shocks that are "Dampning" ride controlled and the rear which are air ride and a new compressor. The local "Stealer" was asking $2500 parts and labor for the rear shocks and compressor....Parts only for all shocks and compressor are $3,050 plus the labor. So on the C6 Corvetteforum I hooked up with the Partstaxi.com that delivered all these OEM parts to my doorstep plus freight for only $1,700....thats almost half of what the local dealer was asking.. Dealer is asking $560 for the labor to install all the parts but from what I have read its seems pretty easy.... Any thoughts or suggestions....do it myself or send it to the "Stealer"...
  11. Running a day behind on my downloads.....here was today's (Tuesday's) project, some good old classic American muscle. Today's project was a "New Car Prep and PPF Wrap" on this 2011 Corvette ZR1
  12. BlueJacket, Glad this worked for you, it has always been my go to product that is the least aggressive approach for this type of contaminant. Of course You always want to neutralize or wash after then follow up with some FMP, wax or sealant for the ultimate long term protection.
  13. My suggestion is IPA cut 50/50 with water, followed by Adams Waterless Wash or Detail Spray...works like a charm!
  14. Paint overspray if tackled quickly can usually be handled like others have said using "Mild" clay and plenty of Detail Spray. I would be sure to first clean up any traces of gas or solvents that were used using my favorite Adams pink soap and wash thoroughly. Clay doesn't like these chemicals and will become tacky upon contact. I find that to avoid marring when claying use plenty of Detail Spray when performing this step and then follow up with a sealant. If marring did occur, polish and then seal for the best results.. One thing for sure never assume a wheel is clear coated, especially the lips. Many times they can be polished aluminum, plated or cleared....Its important to visually know the differences.
  15. FMP with the Flex rotary using a combination of 6" and 4" focus pads worked fabulous for me. The case subject was a recent 2007 C6 Vert detail which had extremely oxidized PPF. I always recommend buffing "Cool" with PPF, heat is your enemy ....Once the inital correction has been made and the clarity and imperfections have been removed, then switch off to the Flex d/a using the same pads and FMP to finesse the PPF some more. A nice final application of Spray Sealant for your LSP and your done.....
  16. I wanted to share this recent exterior detail project I performed for one of my VIP customers C6. I perform this for him at least bi annually, so here are series of photos showing my son, wife and I bring it to life! It had some minor contaminants and fine hairline scratches on the surfaces...so my customer decided on a 2 step paint correction service. Vehicle was thoroughly pre-rinsed with R/O water, cleaned using Adams Car Wash Shampoo and rinsed with R/O water Wheels treated with Adams Green Wheel Cleaner and that stout wheel lug brush thats awesome Wheel Wells cleaned and degreased with Adams APC Wheel Wells treated with Adams Undercarriage Spray All surfaces prepped to remove bonded contaminants Some tar and paint splatter was visible on the lower wheel well egdes and rockers Thorough air drying af all surfaces Chrome Wheels gets some TLC with Adams Metal Polish Exhaust tips gets some love also with 4 oooo steel wool and Adams Metal Polish for the carbon build up. After my son completed the prep of all the surfaces and it was nice and smooth, I proceeded to use Adams Fine Machine Polish with my PCXP. My son chases me to remove the FMP Some of the first step results after FMP was removed That red was poppin! back to the fine polishing.... Some more reflection shots after the FMP was removed For my choice of LSP...Adams Americana, I love this stuff! My son chased the American off while I treated the tires and trim with Adams VRT My wife tends to the glass using Adams Glass Cleaner One last final wipe down and inspection for the ultimate "Adamized" C6 using Adams Detail Spray. Some finishing photo's.. Thanks for viewing my work!
