  1. Agreed. A good friend of mine, Benjamin Franklin, once said, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”. Never be afraid to remind people of this. I have this quote posted on the social media site for my detailing side business. If I cant get what my time is worth, I make more money sitting by the swimming pool.
  2. My personal preference would have been to top it off with Americana; however, the customer only wanted the Quick Sealant applied for now. I have been very impressed with the lasting results of the Sealant on my truck (pushing 6+ months) so I felt comfortable giving him what he wanted. Although this car is garage kept it spends most of its days in the parking lot in the elements and receives regular washes. Sealant was probably the way to go for this scenario.
  3. I had the opportunity to dial up a beautiful Audi S4 for a customer over the weekend and I wanted to share the outcome with the Adam's Forum Family. I did'nt load up on pictures because I wanted to really stayed focused on the car itself (not one you want to make a mistake on). Enjoy! 4. I use toothbrushes. You can buy them in soft, Med, and Firm bristles to suit your needs. I spritz the bristles with the Leather and Interior Cleaner and go to town. Wipe it down with a MF towel and your golden. Most cars’ consoles can easily be taken apart. Makes for an easier and cleaner job; allowing you better access to the intricate cracks and crevices. Just be careful not to crack the plastic.
  5. Yes, you absolutely can use Adam's Carpet & Upholstery cleaner in the machine. I would recommend, though, to spray the carpets with with the cleaner and scrub with carpet brush. I then use straight water in the Bissell to extract. Works great. I have never needed to extract with Adam's C&U cleaner in the Bissell.
  6. I would reccomend the Bissell Auto Pro Heat. I have used it for 2 years now and have had no reason to upgrade to something different/better. Bissell AutoCare ProHeat® Deep Cleaner | Handheld Deep Carpet Cleaning Machine Before After Before After
  7. Great work! I know this is a bit extreme but one reccomendation is before you put your wheels back on after completing the undercarriage detail, hit your rotors with your steel wool to remove the rust that has developed from the water during the wash. It makes a huge difference to the appearance of your finished work. Just a friendly tip form one detailer to another!
  8. Adam's Glass Sealant that you can apply in the winter time that prevents snow and ice from sticking and freezing to your glass. Specially formulated so the snow and ice melts immediatly upon landing on your glass. I live in the Northeast and we tend to have these issues in the winter months when the cars are parked outside. Imagine being able to walk by everyone in the parking lot removing snow and scraping ice and you get in your car and drive away!
  9. Hi Mook. I do usually use an extension cord with no problems but it doesnt work even if plugged directly into the wall. Whats the easiest way to upload a video from iphone? It says invalid file
  10. I was just getting started on a paint correction yesterday and after one pass with my Flex it stopped working. I let go of the trigger to switch pads and the motor kept going at a very low RPM. I kept hitting the trigger but nothing happened. I unplugged it so it would stop. When I plugged it back in and pulled the trigger nothing happened. With a tester I checked for current in the cord and I have electricity to the trigger. Have any of you had similiar issues? Anyone have experience with a Flex warranty? Not sure what can be done about it. Machine is exactly one year old (got it for Christmas last year) but it has only been used on 6 cars. Bummer
  11. .... Your friends and family feel the need to call out the fact that your vehicle isnt spotless today. .... You drive by a carwash and feel sorry for those using it.
  12. Looks like an episode of Duck Dynasty!
  13. You got it. I will place the order today. Once I get a chance to try it out I will give you my opinion. Thanks!
  14. Thanks Dylan, good to know. I will sit tight until you guys have one available, because I know you will get it right.
  15. Curious to see if anyone has any experience with one of these carpet brushes. I am a full blown Adam's product user but from time to time I allow my curiousity to search the industry for any new tools/tips in the market that could improve my efficieny and quality when detailing customer cars. I currently use the Adam's Carpet & Upholstery brush and cleaner along with a Bissell Auto Care ProHeat. Certainly no complaints. I came across these carpet spinner brushes (in the pic below) that attach directly to a PC or rotary. It seems logical that it would work and save your hands the stress of scrubbing soiled mats and carpets. Anyone have and positive or negative feedback on these? Unfortunately Adam's doesnt offer such an attachment but maybe it's something they would consider if its a worthy tool. Thanks
  16. I have a question regarding the use of Flex machine polishing pads over a couple of day’s period, without cleaning. Typically I start and finish polishing in the same day and I clean the pads when I am finished. This time around I am working on an SUV and only have enough time to polish a panel or two each night. I have actually been letting the pads dry out and then hit them real good with the Pad Cleaning & Conditioning Brush the next night. It seems to be working just fine but its driving me crazy knowing this is not ideal. I can’t wash them because there is no way they will be completely air dry by the next evening when I get off work. When I am completely done I will clean them real good with APC and let them air dry. (Side note: the car stays parked in a garage; I am not driving it during the day) I was hoping you all can provide some feedback as to what tips/tricks you use for preserving the pads when your detail extends over a period of time.
  17. Got some beading going on in the early morning, following the application of Quick Sealant. The best part is when I drive away and they all go flying off the truck when I make my first turn! I love it.
  18. I was fortunate enough to get this photo op with the local PD at the conclusion of the event. The picture was taken at the bottom of the driveway. The officer was a great sport about it and the picture turned out amazing. I just got a large print made to hang on the garage wall. (Just out of curiosity does anyone from the area know the officer personally? I would love to email him a copy of the picture) Thanks again to everyone for organizing this event. You guys and girls did an awesome job again this year. Also a big thanks to Dylan for making the trip out and doing your thing at the clinic.

    Sooo expensive!

It certainly can be expensive, there is no disputing that. I tried to acquire the products over time, rather than all in one month. I also started detailing on the side for friends and family for a cost that allowed me to get some return on my investment. After building a good reputation (thanks to Adam's products) I have a pretty regular clientele. Now, I no longer have to look at it as dropping $$$ to keep my ride clean. They pay me for the materials to keep their cars clean and I have what I need to maintain mine at no cost. I could never understand why someone will pay $300 for a suit or handbag and then regularly pay $$ to have it dry cleaned. People pay $30,000 and up for a vehicle but dont feel the need or complain about spending $$ to keep it clean and protected. Boggles my mind sometimes...
