  1. So it sounds like this is normal performance then? Can I throw it in the fridge to firm it up?
  2. I ordered and received the new clay bar. This was my first time using this new addition. It started out GREAT! but about half way through my truck (09 GMC Sierra Crew cab) I noticed the bar was becoming very soft and sticky. It would stick to my fingers very easily and was very soft almost hard to work with. I was using plenty of lube on the paint and directly onto my hands to keep it from sticking to my fingers. Is this normal performance of the clay? Can I just roll it into a ball and put it in the fridge to harden it back up to make it easier to work with? I haven't tried it since so I don't know how it'll perform after sitting for a while. Thoughts? Comments? Experience? Suggestions?
  3. No problem! I forgot to mention but I went back over with a cheap old micro to remove any excess. I'm curious as to how long it'll last!
  4. My vinyl shutters are horribly faded and I saw the neighbor painted his which I didn't want to do. So what do I do? Bust out the Adams products! I first cleaned it with 50/50 APC then applied SVRT. I only did half to see a comparison and to see how well it held up. It's been over a week and has seen a good amount of rain. Still looks great, time to do all of them! The day I did it As of today
  5. I like some of the ideas already stated Having the scannable code is a great idea! I like what feets31 said: "it's all about the detail " "The shine is in the detail" I also like "shine on" I'm not one for stickers on my truck but I have an adams one ????
  6. Also, something that really helped me was the time spent doing the initial rinse. I used to do a quick rinse then start washing, now I spend a good amount of time getting as much dirt off as I can with rinsing first. Like mentioned earlier, 2 wash pads will also help, one for the top and one for the bottom. Hope this helps.
  7. when you say you are working from top to bottom, are you first doing the whole top half of the car then moving to the bottom half? Or are you cleaning top to bottom of the first panel then moving to the next panel?
  8. I hate to say but I've utilized the adams 110% garauntee. ANY time I've had any issue Adams has taken care of it including an email from Adam himself. That says a lot about a company. I've been hooked with their products from day one. Adams does a great job through and through, thank you everybody from the Adams team!
  9. I have no idea how many posters you sold or if they ever flew off the shelves but I feel like people always want one to hang in their garage or shop. I think it would be cool if one or even two different garage banners were offered. I would also sport a t-shirt if they were available, just a simple black T with an adams logo would be awesome.
  10. After claying I typically do a full wash with car shampoo to get the clay residue off, Is that unnecessary?
  11. Some good advise in here already. I would agree and say that a REALLY good rinse is key. Also, inspect your wash buckets half way through the wash and if the water is really getting dirty then I'd say dump them and get fresh clean water/shampoo for the 2nd half of the wash. Lets seem some filthy pics of the truck you are talking about!
  12. lax, PM sent. *Full bottle of MSS is spoken for
