  1. I agree with Chris, I use Adams polishes and compound in the sun at shows and at home with no major issues. I did my black Silverado in my driveway without shade last July. Is there room for improvement? Always!  I've used other products that have a bit longer work time in the sun but out of the sun they tend to be a bit more oily and difficult to wipe off, just my 2 cents.  I also know a few older guys that add a couple drops of baby oil to the pad to make longer work times in the sun but I don't necessarily advise that.

  2. The MKII polishers are definitely more powerful than the original Rupes 15 and 21. That being said I have used the MKII polishers several times but I own the older Rupes 15, 21 and LHR 75, they get used all the time. My Flex 3401 that I've had for at least 4-5 years doesn't get used as often anymore, only on trashed paint with harder clear coats. It really only gets used for the initial cut and I finish with the Rupes or Swirlkiller.  If you have your heart set on a forced rotation polisher, the Flex is a good machine, I can't speak to the Rupes to be released next month.

  3. Echoing whats already been said about most products running a bit after the first rain. VRT and 303 have run on me. What's helped minimize that as well is cleaning my Truxedo Lo-Pro with APC or Tire and rubber cleaner before treating it.  Both 303 and VRT run less and I get a more even finish. Even after 5 years of use that cover still looks great.

Hi guys I got a standard foam gun for Christmas and I can’t get it to connect from the back of the gun to the quick release connect part no matter how hard I push? Anyone else with this problem or any way to fix it

I've seen people have trouble before and a small amount of lubricant on the o ring may help. If that doesn't remedy it, reach out to Adams and they will definitely take care of you!

Hey guys! Part of my role here at Adam's is to help manage events. This thread seems to be pretty helpful at what shows have sparked your interest, but what shows are some of your favorites that we don't currently attend?

As you all know, we have our new Freightliner M2106 Sport Chassis setup hooked up to the 48 footer gooseneck that travels to the "heavy hitter" shows (IE: Barrett Jackson, Hot August Nights, various Good Guys Shows, and this year the Grand National Roadster show). In addition, we have our trusty Ford flat bed setup with our trailer that stays on the east coast, strictly for the Carlisle shows.

My personal show history is mostly focused in Florida as I lived there for 23 years and grew up attending Turkey Rod Run with my dad, Mopar Nationals in Ocala, Mecum Auto Auctions in Kissimmee. I would love to grow our involvement with the import/tuner side of shows and do some demos! These youngin's could use a hand learning the basics of polishing!

    LS fest Kyle!
