  1. Can anyone enlighten me on the differences between the many car care products specifically designed for black vehicles vs. Adams products which are not color specific? No worries brothers and sisters....I'm looking to "defect" ........just wondering.
  2. I'm trying the baking soda thing in the trunk overnight.......we'll see.....
  3. Hey Adam......I recently had a similar ""odor accident" with a bottle of red wine breaking in my trunk. Looking on the bright side of things it was part of a case so the cardboard box soaked up most of the wine. And the trunk "deck" covering the spare is a fiberglass/carpet thing that shouldn't have absorbed much if anything. I've pulled out the trunk deck and used Carpet and Upholstery cleaner but still have the odor. Will the ozone generator work on that as well? And is it a one time fix or will have I have to use it several times to eliminate the smell?
  4. Definitely something I'd like to see! Haven't picked up any Kwazar bottles yet but certainly will if a decal was included! I'm also digging the different colors the Kwazar is offered in. NOW.........if the Kwazar bottles could come in the colors of the various Adams products (like the polishing pad system) WITH the Adams logo printed on them....that would definitely be DA BOMB!
  5. Hey Gerry! If by "strip wash" you mean claying after a two bucket wash I'm afraid I'm already past that. Other wise what do you mean by strip wash and how is that done?
  6. So I start my first detail of the new year with the usual foam cannon, two bucket wash and claying. I've got a carport so it's no "inside" job. It's a little breezy but nothing to bad. I get done with the clay job and go back with the "baggie test" and it feels like I've done nothing! I get the clay back out and do a small area and test again......Bingo! There's that smooooooth feel we all like! I give it a few minutes and it feels like back to square one.........I'm thinking pollen and dust that's in the wind. Was going to do a polishing, waxing and sealant but am not real thrilled at the prospect of trying that with all this "invisible" crud flying around. Anyone else in the same boat?
  7. Wow.......never thought this would generate this much interest! In any event I appreciate everyone's feedback and a special thanks to Beemer! Great minds think alike Bro! Now back to looking for that Sharpie!
  8. Guys, the color thing isn't really the answer......I give you Detail Spray vs. Deep Wheel cleaner vs. Shampoo, Total Interior Detail Spray vs. Leather and Interior Spray, Green Wheel Cleaner vs. Carpet and Upholstery cleaner. The Sharpie suggestion, at least in my opinion isn't the solution but is the best "fix". Considering that Adams goes to great lengths making the best products in the most user friendly fashion (i.e. color coded polishing pads and polishes) that my suggestion might be something they would consider. Now then.............I know I put that Sharpie around here somewhere............
  9. FINALLY got some weather that I can give The Pearl some Adams Love! Was taking stock of my "inventory" and it occurred to me that it would be nice if the refill jugs had a small label on the handle side. This way when they are lined up on a shelf you can easily tell which is which without having to turn the jug to see. I realize this would be an additional production expense but it sure would make it convenient when putting together your next Adams order!
  10. What ever happened to the Tailbone Rough Rider seat?
  11. Finally broke out #30 of 250 Patriot Limited Edition paste wax and WOW!
  12. Thanks Johnny but I'll pass. Will definitely remember to bring a few items with me next time!
  13. I'm "vacating" in Daytona Beach. Got an SRT driving school I'm attending on Friday and didn't want to show up with The Pearl looking like it does. Actually it doesn't look that bad but the bugs on the front end drive me crazy. And since I'm fairly new at being an obsessed Adams guy I didn't bring any product with me. just figured out that was a mistake. Two weeks ago I did a detail on her. Wash, fine machine polish, Super Machine sealant, glaze and Americana wax. Did one more wash before coming down here from NC. I may just suck it up and wait till I get home unless one of you guy's have a recommendation for this area.
  14. Okay. ....so I'm traveling and The Pearl really needs a wash. Don't want to pay the tariff for a full detail and I'm reluctant to use the "soft cloth" wash. What's an Adams disciple supposed to do?
  15. Thanks for the advice guys! I'm still VERY new to this and the last time I used my new Flex was the first time. LOL! So I'm still getting the hang of this machine polishing stuff. Does anyone have a "routine" you use on your own cars? Meaning do you polish/correct on a regular basis (i.e. once or twice per year) or is it strictly on an "as needed" basis?
  16. Yea, that's what I'm thinking but here's the question...........since I've started with a brand hammer new car and I'm using all Adam's products and techniques I'm thinking it could take a VERY long time before I would ever need Severe Swirl Remover. Right?
  17. Purchased the Flex along with an assortment of polishes earlier this year. Since I'm using it on a new vehicle I've only used the Fine Machine Polish and Machine Super Sealant. Now that the new two step system is in place I've got a couple of bottles of the "old" stuff (unopened) that now will probably never get used. Sure hate to simply discard it but on the other hand it seems worth my time (and $$) to pick up the new polish and pad system for my Flex. Thoughts, comments......rude remarks?
  18. Glaze on glass??????? Definitely missed this one..........what does glaze add to glass that the sealant doesn't?
  19. So I spent some "quality time" with The Pearl this weekend. So after a two bucket wash I FINALLY broke out the Flex for the first time using only the Fine Machine Polish and the Super Sealant. It's a new car and didn't need much, if any, correction. Got things looking really good! Had every intention of breaking out the Brilliant Glaze followed with the Limited Edition Wax today but alas, the weather didn't cooperate. I've got a carport and not a fully enclosed garage..........so my question is.......any issues with waiting until next weekend before doing the glaze and wax?
  20. Thanks Doug! I'm thinking the moisture build up is a result of storing it in an SKB snare case. While they are obviously not air tight there really aren't any ventilation holes in these cases either. Off to find some desiccant!
  21. I'm a part time musician (drummer) and recently I discovered that a brass snare that I have has developed some minor corrosion from condensation within the drum. Trying to figure out the best way to address the existing corrosion and how to prevent it in the future.
  22. Last weekend I used the spray sealant on my wheels and noticed later in the day that small spots appeared on the finish. With some elbow grease these spots came out and I'm wondering if the DWC would be appropriate to remove the spray sealant and try it again?
  23. Anyone use the glass cleaner in their windshield washer reservoir?
  24. Great stuff guys, thanks so much for the input! The clear coat is coming with the touch up paint so it's not part of the Langka kit. Guess I'll be using just enough paint to cover the chip and then layer the clear coat and jump in with the Langka kit and see what happens. Anyone know if the touchup gets better once it's done by doing a Flex correction?
