  1. Sorry, thanks, and yes! The USA clay is certainly better in the moderate and cooler temps than it is in the summer. We are working now with the manufacturer, and should have a 'year-round bar' by the next year, hopefully before temps spike north of 80 degrees. I have been using a process when claying, if I can do it in the shade, or with clean water: Instead of drying the vehicle, mist it down with diluted Rinseless Wash, Waterless Wash, or Detail Spray. Then, I clay the entire vehicle before drying. That keeps the bar much cooler, and makes claying quicker, while using less chemical as a lubricant. My $0.02.
  2. Great feedback friends! Certainly, this conversation and effort is not to maximize profit, or sales. Losing a product would hurt both. Reading here, that many of you didn't like the dusting that the Paint Correcting Polish caused, we started tweaking. The formula was not so massively different, that we chose to do an email blast, and make a big deal about it. Rather, we improved it, quietly, and while the new formula cost us a few bucks more, we kept the price the same. Suppose I was merely wanting to give our customers the fastest way to a great finish. After all, my entire childhood and young-adulthood was spent detailing cars for money, and time is money! Now, when I was polishing 10X more than normal for 6 straight days, I wanted to share that the Paint Correcting Polish seemed to do the trick, and I followed with Glaze, Sealant, Wax, or a combination of those. If I was looking to try and sell more product, maybe this post wouldn't have ever showed up! I really appreciate the great feedback here, and thanks for taking time to respond. Thank You!
  3. Well, cutting costs and increasing profits are unfortunately not goals we achieve! In fact, every time we improve something, it's more expensive! Getting orders into our customers' hands quickly is our biggest priority, currently. That priority will be expensive as well. Ask anyone who works at Adam's, we are not a mega-profitable business, and we unfortunately never cut costs! "Money hungry?" This business isn't one for a person who is money hungry. There are plenty of ways to be much more profitable, and if you suddenly saw us importing low-end product from China, then you would know, we are changing our tune. That won't happen. Even Meguiar's, before selling to 3M back in 2008-9, was in a tough financial situation. Marketing Car Care Products is for enthusiasts, not greedy entrepreneurs. I'm a shine freak, and this is my passion. The red cap plugs are to keep the gallons from spilling, and we use them with certain products especially when shipping over elevation, or shipping via air. Some products can suck-in, or 'panel' during shipping. Thats when we use the vented seals, so the bottles don't pop. As for the block sponges, that's the first I've heard. A machine cuts those, and I've never once seen one out of normal. There's always a first time, however! Anyone else seen out of shape block sponges? As for the American Clay, it's much different than the Japanese clay. I prefer the two smaller bars, absolutely. Much easier to use. If I hear from the masses to go back to a big chunk, we'll go back! Certainly, I don't want anyone to feel we are cutting corners, or costs. Ask anyone in our company, that's not how we roll. Thanks for keeping me on my toes, and thanks for your business! -Adam
  4. Friends, we just returned from Hot August Nights in Reno, NV our 10th year there. Again, we had three locations, and as usual, it was massive, and we got to work on over 60 cars during the 6 day event! I always try to spend as much time as possible with customers, and working on their cars. This year was no exception, and I personally worked on nearly ever vehicle that came by the booth. Key point: I was able to blow through 4 bottles of Paint Correcting Polish during the week, and used only 1/3 of a bottle of Paint Finishing Polish. NOTE: We have improved the Paint Correcting Polish, which now finishes even better, with much less or zero dust. We have been shipping this formula for one week, which has a slightly lighter color orange. Each of the vehicles were in different conditions, had various paint and clear coat finishes by different manufacturers. The finishes ranged from wasted and ancient, to brand new, and nearly perfect. Regardless of the above conditions, the process I used to remove swirls or oxidation, and correct the paint was identical, without a single exception: Waterless or Rinseless Wash the finish. Clay Bar, including glass and chrome. Paint Correcting Polish, using the Black/Orange Microfiber Cutting Pads. Cyclo Polisher at full speed, setting 6. 6-8lbs of pressure, moving extremely slow across the finish. 3-4 passes over the same areas. Working the polish longer makes it finish incredibly well. Using the Cyclo with Red Foam Pads and Brilliant Glaze: Apply directly over the Paint Finishing Polish residue. (Or not...sometimes.) (We also used a Microfiber Applicator, or the Black UFO Foam Applicator with excellent results.) Remove Brilliant Glaze residue with a Premium Microfiber. Vehicles that live indoors day/night: Americana Paste or Buttery Wax Vehicles that are drivers, and see some heavy use and/or outdoor living: Liquid Paint Sealant. Have you been using Paint Finishing Polish, or are you achieving the results you are after with just the Paint Correcting Polish? Reason for the question: We are selling the Finishing Polish and pads like crazy, but I don't want to make customers feel then need it, if in fact, they don't need it! Thanks in advance for your input! -Adam
  5. Excited to announce, our new distribution center is fully in place, team is trained, accurate, and by the way, AWESOME! As of Thursday, July 17, 2014, all orders received by 3:30PM, PST, have been going out the SAME DAY! Many of you were frustrated with slow shipping times as we setup a new warehouse, and I again apologize. Now that we have the West Coast DC dialed in, we will focus on getting the East Coast setup. If you are indeed detailing in the east, and want your goods for the weekend, please order over the weekend or on Monday, so we can get your goods into your hands by Friday or Saturday. We get many requests from customers for tracking information, and just an FYI: If you opt out of getting emails from us, tracking info is not sent. Also, SPAM and Junk folders LOVE automated emails, check yours if you didn't get tracking. (As always, during sales, new product announcements, and other promotions, we may need a few extra days to get caught up.) Thanks for your patience with our awesome, and not so HUGE company, currently 15 employees strong..... Sincerely, Adam
  6. First off, friends, we are now shipping all orders received by 3PM, PST, the same day! Hallelujah..... New distribution center is fully setup, staff is first rate, and now we can get rocking on the next Distribution Center. Love the idea of Delaware, however, the taxes are not much of a bonus unless we live there, or change our company structure.......stay tuned!
  7. Rob, you are going to get your package on Friday, in time for the weekend! https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/html/oldindex.html?tracknumbers=605374427966
  8. Greg, look out for the FedEx truck this Wednesday! https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/html/oldindex.html?tracknumbers=605374430057
  9. Arriving Saturday Michael, in time for a weekend detail! https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/html/oldindex.html?tracknumbers=605374430425
  10. And more team kicking butt photos.......and forgot to mention Fred, our team leader in Nevada, last photo! (drives a '68 Chevelle SS)
  11. 598 orders went out today, nearly our entire team is here shipping, Ash, Matt, Bianca, Michael, and Brian..... Look out friends, we should have all orders out the door within 24hours from this minute!! Our team rocks, and thanks to each of you for converging on Nevada over the weekend, and through Wednesday!
  12. Thanks for your patience, and we are making excellent progress! Remember, we have been shipping within 1 business day for 14 years, and only since we have been putting together multiple, regional distribution centers, are we slow in shipping. (Again, I apologize!) I appreciate your patience, your loyalty, and while the level of discontent in this thread is high, we are making this change for a reason: You want orders faster, we hear you! We are implementing a plan, and you are living through the MIDDLE OF THE STORM, thank you! Stay tuned, orders will be crazy quick, soon......
  13. Thanks Chase, and indeed, this will make turnaround times much, much quicker. I promise.
  14. Friends, thanks for your candid input, and loyalty. I understand if you feel the need to go elsewhere for your car care products, and and certainly, don't want to lose you as a customer! We are in flux, moving to a new system of shipping from two warehouses, so we can get orders into your hands in 2 business days, or less. We can't just throw a lever, as we are not a huge company with unlimited recourses. We had to get one distribution center up first, and the second is coming online shortly. Nearly 15years we have been in business. We have had an average turnaround time of 1.3 days over the entirety of our company's existence. If only our 'up-time' for our web-hosting was as consistent.....we would be thrilled. Currently, we are changing how we do things, as Amazon and other major online retailers have set a new standard for customer expectations. We will exceed your expectations shortly, but implementing a new distribution model has certainly been a serious project. One that has taken much more time and money than we had anticipated. I hope not to lose your business, and if you choose to cancel your order, I'll personally handle it for you. Thank You, and again, I'm sorry for the delays. Sincerely, Adam Direct: 720-473-7100
  15. Ha! Well, July 2nd isn't exactly an old order! Hahahahha, boy, do we have some high expectations on turnaround times! When I said old orders, I meant old, like not 2 business days ago! Geesh!!!
  16. Friends, a secret..... Dilute the Rinseless Wash 2/3 with distilled or drinking water. Use in place of Detail Spray or Waterless Wash, with either a Double Soft or Waterless Wash towel. Report back with your experience! I've been using that exclusively for a few weeks now.....
  17. We are almost back to normal friends, and thanks for your patience! If you have an old order, shoot us an email. I'll be sure that it gets filled right away! Orders@AdamsPolishes.com Again, thanks, and we'll be caught up very soon!
  18. Sorry friends, Interior goods are back in stock! http://www.adamspolishes.com/c-18-interior-care.aspx
  19. Friends, we are excited to attend the Bloomington Gold Corvette Extravaganza this weekend, in Champaign, IL!
