Nice one Chris!

Round two turned out a little better. After a strip wash and clay, I hit it with my old rotary buffer and some aggressive stuff. Wouldn't even tough some of the scratches. This paint is impressively hard! I even laid the buffer on an edge and only made it shinier. Gotta be Centari or Imron. But the surface is smoother than before.
I followed with Adam's Paint Correcting Polish and a new Orange Pad, followed by Adam's Finishing Polish while enjoying using my Rupes LHR 15 ES for the first time. What a wonderful machine!
I ended the day applying some older Machine Super Sealant. Today, I applied Adam's Brilliant Glaze and topped with Americana. Some of the chrome received Adam's Metal Polish.
The finish is certainly smoother, but the top surfaces have suffered wear over the years. I guess it is what it is.

Love that place, Although I couldn't afford to live there. About the only place my wife would live in Arizona, and I could be really close to the Grand Canyon.
It's a great place to visit, but I'm unsure if I would live in a resort town. Gets real busy up there during the summer. We do have an excellent hook-up at one of the resorts.

Those are great night pics Rick.
I want to upgrade my Canon camera ( I'm looking at the new Canon T6s), so I can take cool night pics like that. My current one doesn't have a long enough shudder speed to allow for very good night pics.
The first two were set at 13 seconds and the last was set at 20 seconds. My camera is mounted on a tripod and I'm using a remote release. The LCD is turned off to be sure there is no extra light in the photo.

Thanks very much guys.
Next weekend, I'm going back up to Sedona with a new lens to try out.
Keep them coming guys, all of these photos are great!

Thanks everyone!
I am on vacation next week, and I plan on doing a more aggressive correction. The top surfaces could use more help.

When I lived in Maryland, I never missed this event! Tons of fun, tons of cars, and tons of people. It is no small event.

Loving this thread! Great stuff everyone.
Back in 2008, we spent two weeks in AZ to decide whether to relocate here, or not, and to do some touristy stuff.
One day, we drove to Palm Springs, CA and found the Hotel, California.
We also went to Winslow and saw this happen. Two people had a bad day that day.
These are photos of the former service area of the New State Motor Company in Jerome, AZ. It is now a museum.

From our front door
lots of work went into this
Our wig wam. The Maxima is long gone.
I'm sure this was a Mobile Gas station years ago. It is down the street from the Wig Wam

Believe it or not, it is full every night, so make reservations.I'd love to visit that place.
I'll have to find some of my Route 66 pictures....
Holbrook is a pretty cool town for hanging out. I have more photos I can post up later.

Sure did. I registered the car in AZ before I flew out to Maryland. The plate and registration were packed in my carry-on.
