  1. One thing I have seen first hand, is that you always either keep your mouth shut about other businesses in your home town. Wether you like them or not you just don't bad mouth anyone in a town of 35000 people. It just doesn't work out like that. I always recommend people to area businesses, it's how you build a community.
  2. It's honestly partly my fault. When he first open I scoped him out as me being a customer. I get stacked up, and want to send someone to a reputable shop if I can't fit them in my schedule. I planned on telling him at the end of my visit who I was and what I do. But he started talking crap about the guy that built his shop (my best friend) so I figured I'd keep my mouth shut. Ever since then, guy has disliked me. I don't mind someone not liking me, and I approached it the wrong way entirely. But I do quality work, I don't expect someone to bash my product. I ALWAYS tell the people I can't fit in about him, and that he does good work. 99% of the time they go talk to him and never use him because of his attitude. So I am partly to blame, but do not bash me or the products I use.
  3. Another detailer in my home town, I won't mention the business name or owners name rubbed me the wrong way via my friend. He basically talked down on me, and my Adams products by saying " I can't afford those products he uses, they are just re bottled Meguiars products anyway." I would love to go to the guy and explain to him that Adams has a TEAM of developers and they would never, nor do they have to steal products from any other company. He has a extremely nice shop, 3 bays, whole nine yards. He does quality work, I won't say he doesnt. But to throw that label on something I use, just really pisses me off. But while I'm covered up with business he seems to struggle to find enough to supports his 200k shop. The guy that built his shop is my main customer. Sorry for the venting here, just really bothered me! TEAM ADAMS!
  4. Few more, this is pre finishing polish.
  5. Figured I would post a teaser of a GTO correction I am starting this afternoon. It's going to get lathered in a few layers of ceramic when I'm done.
  6. Just curious if there has ever been a discussion about offering a 2 pack of pads. I know there are bundles offered, just curious if anyone was like me and order 2 of the same more often than they just order a single pad?
  7. You will hear of a lot of people doing a "washer mod" to their Rupes which I don't do for below listed reasons. From my understanding the reason the Rupes tool is built with a little "lag, drag, whatever you want to call it" is because it basically anti friction to make it easier on curved areas, it slows the pad and also helps keep the pad rotating. Basically the washer mod makes it spin more freely, but will also hinder the tool in the eyes of pad rotation in the more curved, slower speed areas. Someone can chime in if I am incorrect, but that's my understanding of the tool. So to answer your question, losing pad rotation more from one to the other? No. But will it lose pad rotation easier/more often than say a Flex? Yes. But it's also a DA polisher and not a forced rotation like the above mentioned Flex.
  8. No, I have a 21 with a 5" bp. I sold my 15
  9. Minimal compared to the 6" BP with 7" pads. This combo is where I achieve faster, better results.
  10. Just noticed my phone put 5.5, it's a 5" backing plate. The extra throw of the machine along with a smaller pad makes things super nice. It was actually recommended by me to Kevin brown to try this method and I haven't switched since I started it.
  11. I use a Rupes 21 with a 5.5 backing plate. Love it.
  12. Been there done that. The exhaust is 3.5" all the way back. I did a 3.5" Spintech exiting the stock location and you can buy a polished tip from GM Performance. It sounded amazing, I don't know if I have any clips of either of the 2 I've owned though. Buy the muffler and a 3 foot stick of 3.5" pipe and take it with you, odds are the muffler shop won't carry it.
  13. I also like using steam. I mix about 1/4 APC to water in my steamer. Either way should take care of the job for you!
  14. Another thing I forgot to add is that this tournament in particular fields 100 teams annually. It is a 2 man scramble tournament. There are 7 different flights including a champions flight. The low round for the 2 day tournament is normally around -28 in the championship flight.
  15. Every year in my town (Greenville Texas) we have a memorial golf tournament called Monster Ball. The tournament celebrates the life of one of the greatest guys you could ever meet that was killed in a skiing accident in Colorado. I will post below the caption from the website of the tournament for better understanding for you the reader of this topic. Craig Bowers was tragically killed on March 14, 2012 in a snow skiing accident while on vacation with his family in Crested Butte, Colorado. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. We love and miss him very much, and he will always be in our hearts and minds. He brought so much joy and laughter to all of us whose lives he touched. He will forever be remembered for his love for people and love for life. He lived life to the fullest everyday. His competitive and aggressive nature is what made him who he was. This awesome quality could be what ultimately lead to his death, but I promise you this, he would not have changed that aggressive nature even if he knew his life would be cut short. His shortened life was so much more fulfilled due to his desire and will to go 110% all the time. As you all know, Craig was an avid golfer when he was not being an Assistant Principal at Royse City High School. So in order to appropriately celebrate his memory, we are going to host an annual memorial golf tournament called Monster Ball. All proceeds will go to the non-profit foundation, The Craig Bowers Memorial Foundation, which was created by his family and close friends. It will be a great opportunity to give back to our community while enjoying golf with friends. Our first annual tournament proceeds will benefit Greenville YMCA, a scholarship set up for a Royse City ISD and Greenville ISD graduating senior, and the Hunt County Crisis Center of Greenville. We would like to extend our tremendous gratitude to our sponsors, players and volunteers. Together we can make a difference in many kids lives throughout our community. Love, Kim Bowers and family Now that you have a better understanding I will explain why I am so thankful for Adam's Polishes as a whole. This year I have given my extra free time to try and help out to raise more money for the scholarship fund by getting items for the silent auction at the tournament. Well, what better of a way than to ask a company that I am quite fond of, and seems to always have a helping hand when someone is in need of support? I spoke with Matt on phone yesterday about the possibility of maybe some small samples of product or anything for that matter for the silent auction. I was blown away, I mean BLOWN AWAY at what happened next. Not only was he great to deal with like normal, he helped out more than I ever expected. Heading my way for our silent auction is 1 Adam's essential detail kit, and 2 Adams Basic Car Care Kits. Thank you SO MUCH for everything you keep doing for the car community and the support that is always offered no matter what the circumstance is. There is not a better company ANYWHERE! God Bless- Tyler Nicholson
  16. I'm not saying I'm not satisfied, I'm just saying I don't like it as much as the red /:
  17. I'm in the same boat, I miss the old as well. Ive tried quite a few different combos in my foam cannon with little luck. The red puts a nice, thick coat on it every time though.
  18. Just finished up a very small order of 9 ea 16 oz Pump Tops, and 2 Stickers. FedEx shipping is actually cheaper at $13.48 than at $14.25 for USPS. I was really hoping the option of USPS would make it more plausible to order small items like this without paying more than the cost of the product for shipping. It doesnt bother me as i'll just add them to a future order, i was just hopeful that i could place small orders without being smoked with shipping.
  19. The suspense, it's killing me! My Birthday is in April, and Adam's is releasing a new product.... This has to be some kind of sign.
  20. Not to steal the thread but I am also looking for one for a 99' Sierra. I have a tailgate handle relocation kit so it has to be a Hard lift up cover. Anyone know of anything?
  21. Hey man I've got a bottle of the Machine Super Sealant that I NEVER use. It's maybe had 1-2 oz used out of it. If you want to send me a shipping label I'd gladly send it over to you.
