do you just brush them while dry or when they are wet?

I did one dry and one wet to test this , i had better luck with the pad dry.

Well, after reading what Dylan had said about brushing out your wash pads to prevent matting, and the "dreadlock" looking pattern in the fibers that we see after multiple washes with the pads. I was really amazed had how well the fibers unwound when I began brushing them. I've been using these two pads for about a year now, will well over 30 washes in them without ever being brushed. So they're quite neglected, and because they've gone so long without maintenance that the fibers have developed a sort of "memory" and when i wet them now they try to bond back together in the dreadlock pattern, but it is still substantially better than before. Pics:

The GF said I couldn't use her brushes, so I went and bought an "all purpose" brush from Dollar General, similar to this one:

BG eats away at wax? I aays applied brilliant glaze before the wax to make it more durable. The glaze doesnt bond to the paint like a wax, so by putting the wax over the glaze your making the glaze last longer.

So then does the wax not bond as well on top of bg?

I'm pretty sure the car hasn't been washed at all in the 10 months since I corrected it - I guess that means no wash induced swirls though

 

It was worth doing just to educate my sisters boys about the paint, I had them take their own before and after photo's to try and get the point across.

Rotary is a more powerful tool, it can do more than a DA, it can do it faster. It can also burn through your paint, quickly.. It's like a rotary is a harley, and a da is a tricycle on training wheels. Both get you there, one just has a lot more risk.

Fair enough. Being a golf course Superintendent we use backpacks all the time, and sometimes you might see a spark every once in a while fly out of it, so I just wouldn't trust it. Maybe I am just being anal.

And besides electric handhelds are cheap, lol.

they can be very cheap, definitely a safer bet imo, even if it's only a slight risk with 2 cycles

Think about the we clay.... would you blow dry your car with your car exhaust? I wouldn't. 2cycle engines like blowers, weedeaters and the like are not the cleanest running engines.

 

And to think you are blowing oil/gas burning exhaust over the finish of your car is crazy IMO.

I see, but the exhaust is not what is being blown, they have a blower wheel which just pushes air.. Same as a master blaster, just on a larger scale..
