  1. Pulled the back seat out and did some further cleaning. Excellent results again just with light brushing. The carpet is darker under the seat which is not surprising. Won't be noticeable once the seat is back in. Before: After:
  2. Really impressed with this product and it appears everyone else is too. Glad I purchased a gallon as I will need it!
  3. I purchased some Adam's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to use on the carpet in my 1977 Ford Bronco. Quickly did the tailgate today to see how it would do. The pictures speak for themselves. Will update again later when I strip the interior and go at the rest. Before: After:
  4. Awesome! Very nice. I wanted to one of these so bad a few years ago. I still plan to own a Syclone one day.
  5. Yes, just not sure what direction I'm going to go. These two are my motivation (not my pictures). The white steel wheels came on early broncos initially and then they swapped to gray steel wheels in the later years. I'm thinking of picking up white all the way around to match the white ranger stripes. Will run some type of mud terrain in stock 235 75 15 or slightly bigger if I do a lift.
  6. Thanks! What a coincidence. The seller told me he had it at the Broncos game with the price jacked up. I didn't pay anywhere near that price. You are right on all of the options which is why the 1977 appealed to me. I would have tried to come by the facility last week when in town but you guys were in the middle of the warehouse shutdown and I needed to get back to Houston ASAP.
  7. Thanks guys. It will receive plenty of Adam's goodness soon.
  8. Picked this up last week in Colorado. It rained all weekend here so didn't get to clean it up but here are few pictures for the time being. Truck is in good stock condition and plan to keep it mostly that way.
  9. Welcome Nick. Good to have more from Houston on the forum.
  10. Mine has arrived. Washed my truck this morning. Will apply the Buttery this afternoon. Feedback and pictures tomorrow! Half way update. I waxed the hood, fenders and cab so far. Will finish roof and bed tomorrow morning and then get some full truck shots. Initial impressions are it is good (as expected) and very user friendly. Easy to apply and remove, even if applied unevenly (thick). Wax sets up quickly. I applied to hood first and fenders second and by the time I was done with fenders the hood was ready to wipe clean. Cleans up off plastic/rubber trim with ease. Here are a few pictures. Final product! Pleased with results, especially considering the minimal amount of effort required to use the new Buttery wax.
  11. My sterling silver belt buckle needed a good polishing so wanted to see what Adams Metal Polish #2 and a Premium Metal Polishing Towel would do. Because of all of the engraving detail on the front of the buckle it is hard to see the difference, but it is definitely improved. The back of the buckle shows the progress better. I think it turned out pretty great. Before pictures: During pictures (left side before polishing, right side after polishing): After pictures:
  12. Tires acquired and mounted and balanced today. Adams metal polish and quick sealant next and then they go on the truck!
  13. Thanks! I'm pleased with how they turned out. Thanks. Guessing on time but I would say 40 to 50 hours. Some of that time was experimenting though. If I had a defined process going in I think it would have taken 20 to 30 hours. These rims were really bad off.
  14. Here is the latest. All 4 rims are cleaned up and waiting on tires. After tires are mounted I will polish with Adams 1 & 2 and then seal them.
  15. Those caps look great! And I'm with you on seeking perfection on billet - it is not happening. I'm going to live with imperfection and move on. I was so mad yesterday on mine that I wanted to say screw it. But once you do achieve results it is satisfying. Keep up the good work!
  16. Looking good. With my wheels I experimented with a bunch of different things before I found a process that worked. I think I posted in my thread but I eventually had to go all the way down to 180 grit to get most of the pitting out of my barrels. Another resource for information for you is Caswell Plating. They have a website with a bunch of polishing items available for purchase and they have a forum with some good information. Based on what I've read after sanding you will have good results using your rotary with the right buffing wheels and compounds. I don't have one and didn't want to buy one just for this so am using a corded drill. Keep posting your progress.
  17. Welcome. Is that your viper snake skin green z06? Love that color.
  18. Thanks, I'm happy with how they are coming along. Ha ha. Thanks but I will pass on your generous offer. And I only have this 1 wheel done. 3 more to go. I thought about polishing the inner barrels but don't think it is worth the time and effort for a daily driver.
  19. Thanks. Yes, except in spots where I aggressively sanded to get out a scratch or scarring. The lips of the wheels were the worst and had some serious gouges. If you look closely at this wheel you will see some of the lettering on the lip was sanded out. This area on this particular rim was already thin when I got it and my sanding the scratches made it worse. I thought about sanding all the lettering out but thought it would create too much of a low spot.
  20. Made some more progress and finally getting to a result I can live with. These pictures are as of tonight after machine/hand sanding from 180 grit up to 2000, machine polishing with black and green compounds, and hand polishing with a heavy cut metal polish with a terry cloth. Next is to apply Adams 1 & 2 and then a sealer. I knew these would be work but I didn't think this much. Pics alternate between flash and no flash.
