  1. I just used the CS3 on the wife's can and it sits outside. It is also dark grey in color. I had zero issues. I used a WW towel and sprayed the car. Folded the towel in 4ths. I would wipe the product in then lightly mist the same spot again and wipe with a dry side. I would repeat with each section. Front, sides and back.
  2. So I washed the wife's car on Mother's day and it sat outside for a week. It was supposed to rain the weekend after so I decided to run outside and try the CS3and see how It does. Disclaimer, the wife's car has no protection on it. It hardly get washed. I left 1 door untreated to see if I could see a difference. Before it rained I could feel a difference and see a difference. Well it rained today. First pic is the door not treated. 2nd pic is treated. It is an amazing product considering all the beading you see is all because of CS3. Before it didn't bead AT ALL. Last pic is glass sealant. Love that also
  3. I was actually happy it didn't last. I like the smell but prefer the leather smell.
  4. I have been using the Eucalyptus one. I can't say it is very strong. I honestly can't smell it at all. After I used it me and the wife went fr a ride and she couldn't smell it either. Oh well keeps the car clean and I use it about every week for the steering wheel and stuff like that.
  5. Good question. I have both products and was wondering if CS3 negates CWW. I was thinking CWW is only for ceramic coated vehicles while CS3 can work on both. Main word think
  6. Used the correcting polish today. Car came out amazing! much better than expected. I think the correcting polish made some rock chips more visible. If I was to do it again I would use the heavy correcting compound only on the area with scratches then the correcting polish on the entire car. Last question is how do I get the left over polish in the cracks and badges off? Will surface prep and a qtip or a brush do the trick?
  7. Can I wash the car after I do the correcting polish and before the ceramic process?
  8. Ray that is a great idea about cutting them and using them in different areas. Here are a few pics. Thanks everyone for all you input. I was extreamely nervous about using the swirl killer. You have made it a lot easier. First 2 pics are before the next 2 are after
  9. I was able to get all the correcting compound off the car. I'll attempt to do the trunk again tomorrow then hit the car with the correcting polish over the weekend. After I do that can I wash the car with the mega foam that I have then apply the ceramic prep?
  10. This is what I was doing. I will have to slow down but I was brushing the pad every section sometime twice a section. I only have 1 orange pad and 1 more microfiber pad left. Can I reuse the white microfiber ones? I rinsed them out in the sink after I was done.
  11. I will try this tomorrow. I higher speeds seemed to take away the other scratches but were not as bad as the trunk. If the swirl killer doesn't work I think I will throw in the towel. I want to try and do the ceramic coating this weekend or next.
  12. The Guz we have similar cars! I am working on my Grand Prix GTX. The SS is near perfect I am working on a small section at a time. I start the tool on 4 then on areas that need correcting I speed it up till 6. Very little pressure.
  13. Thanks for the reply Ray. I will prob hit the trunk 1 more time with a fresh pad. How do I know when to add more polish to the pad?
  14. Ok so I did the heavy correcting polish with the microfiber pads. It did a really good job removing light scratches and swirls. It didn't do a great job on my trunk though.Made it better but not unnoticeable. All in all i am really happy with the results after the first go. I do have a few questions. I noticed it was really hard to remove the polish after making a pass. I would make a few passes and it seemed the polish dried. I tried spraying it with detail spray and that worked a few times. Sometime I would just redo the area and that worked. Am I doing something wrong? Will leaving the white polish on the car hurt it? I plan to do the next step next weekend. How many pads should I be using to do a car? I flung polish everywhere a few times. It won't hurt the window will it? How can I get dried polish out of little areas like between the emblems? Toothpick? Any advice for doing the orange pad and polish?
  15. Thanks for the pics! I will be going with Langka. I like that it uses the factory paint.
  16. So I started my interior detail. Today I used the all purpose interior foaming gel with the interior brush and it looks great! Highly recommend getting both brushes. I used only the little one and my fingers started to cram lol. Next I am going to use the interior detail with microban. After that the leather conditioner. Is this the right process?
  17. Nope that is different. That is more in line of what I wanted. How long after you apply it can I use the swirl killer on it? Does it do a good job?
  18. Didn't really know where to post this. I am thinking of doing some touch up paint on a few spots. Not sure how I want to tackle it yet. Dr Color chip seems very easy with good results. Then there is the harder way. Sanding it down and carefully applying paint and clear then sanding then polishing. Has anyone here had any luck with doing touch up paint and how did you do it? Here are the chips I am trying to fix. The big one is on the hood. The little ones are on the side mirror.
  19. Well since I already clayed I think I will skip the strip wash. It has been at least a year since I put anything on the paint besides detail spray and washing it.
  20. Follow up Question. Do I need to was with the strip wash and do surface prep before applying the ceramic coating?
  21. Thanks! I have some spots that are worse than others. My spoiler and trunk are the worst. Back bumper doesn't have any scratches but you can see a little bi and feel a lot that it is not smooth even after clay. Hope to be able to try this on Sunday. I will try and take some 50/50 shots of the spoiler. Might be hard to see the swirls though.
  22. Here is what I am thinking. heavy correcting with microfiber pad and then the foam pad. Then correcting polish with orange foam pad. After that wipe down with detail spray. Then begin the ceramic process.
