0 Team Adam's
Absolutely - an inexpensive tool cart, about $15 worth of adhesive backed foam to pad any corners (just in case of incidental car contact) a power strip mounted to it and bingo! Detail cart!!  I offer this bit of advice to those of you looking to shave time off of your detail routine. If you're like most of us you have one area in the garage you store all of your Adams supplies... as you work you have to keep walking to that cabinet or shelf and getting the right tool for a particular spot, or you realize you missed something and go back for that product again. During the course of a detail you spend a TON of time just walking to and from your supplies. If I've learned anything from working for a manufacturing facility is that efficiency is key... and the key to efficiency is to be prepared.  Why travel to your products when you can easily have them within arms reach?? The time and effort saved will begin to add up and at the end you will have shaved a significant chunk of time from your detail as well as spared your legs a lot of walking.  Below is my cart... pretty simple. A cheap ($30) husky shop cart from home depot, about $15 worth of self adhesive pipe insulators, a basic surge protector/power strip, and some zip ties. This cart allows me to stock up all my supplies and move them to where I'm working so they're in arms reach. The pipe insulation works perfect to gaurd against any accidents. If the cart rolls into a door panel no harm no foul!!   Lets say I'm going to start on the interior... I put a couple of interior applicators, my VRT, leather conditioner, leather cleaner, glass cleaner, some microfibers, my metrovac, assorted brushes, etc on the cart. I plug the mounted strip into an extension cord and plug that into the wall. Now I have power and all my supplies right with me whereever I move until the job is done. I never have to worry about getting up to pull more slack out of the cord as long as the cart is nearby I have enough to reach, I never have to get up to get the VRT back out b/c I realized I forgot a spot, etc.  Tomorrow I'm planning on pirating a cupholder from an old stroller we have packed away and mounting it on there as well, because as we all know some cold frosty brew is just as important to a quality detail as polish or wax

0 Chewy
No room in mine for one... Â Chipper shredder, lawn mower, LARGE snow blower, two full size motor cycles, F150 4x4, G8 GT, work bench and 3 shelves equal NO ROOM! It's a 24x22 garage too. Â I'd have one otherwise... Â Plan this spring is to install one of those nice looking plastic sheds behind the garage which will be hidden from view. Need to pour the concrete and all... Ugh... 0 02Xtreme07ss
I'd be lost without my cart. I try to keep everything I need or will need on it during a detail and it's always close by. Saves a ton of time running around and/or reaching for things.
0 THE Mook
So, inside my house, a 4 tier rack holds my bags, supplies, gallons, etc. But that's for the winter. Â I have searched for a cart...best I could come up with was either Harbor Freight (prolly some foreign made stuff) or Sears for the Craftsman cart (likely USA made). Â Is there somewhere I need to be looking? I need one of these carts like Paula Abdul needs another bottle of pills! Â Mook

0 1FAST SS
Those are some great looking carts. I saw one where a guy installed his lights. Everything is on one cart. Probably saves more time than one would think during the course of a detail.

0 Chewy
We use the RM Heavy Duty Utility carts in our warehouses and they're VERY durable. You get what you pay for. Also, if they rub your car they'll do MUCH less damage to it.
