Wheel staining help !

Yesterday i made a BIG mistake! I set out to clean the brake dust of the wheels of my 2011 Acura M.D.X. I sprayed the wheel with Adams All Purpose Cleaner. I did not wet the wheel first. It was the first time using the product on a vehicle. I did not dilute it either. I sprayed full strength out of the bottle. By the time i got the hose to rinse it off, the clear coat stained. Totally my fault! Any ideas on fixing this? Has this happened to anyone? I doubt that there is a lot of clear coat on the wheels to begin with.

You def need to stop by Thompson Racing. Sounds like you need a once-over with the Adam's Products. My first attempt would be Adam's Revive Polish to correct the stain. I'll be at the shop tonight and have a couple demo bottles of Revive.

Were the wheels hot when you sprayed them down? What kind of finish are they?

The wheels were out in the sun but not driving hot. They are a clear coated aluminum stock wheel on a 2011 acura mdx. Thinking about trying revive polish on them. Maybe a finesse compound. That brake dust is nasty.
