Alternative for Truck Spray-in Bedliner...

i got some UCS somehow on the bedliner in my truck, and it actually made it look really good. it looked "newer" instead of "faded"

 

i know a lot of you guys put SVRT on spray in bedliners, but has anyone considered UCS? seems like it would be faster... "just spray and walk away!"

 

i used the SVRT on my side steps' plastic and it made them kinda slippery. would UCS do this to the bedliner? last thing i need is to jump in the bed of my truck to clean the roof and back glass, then slip and fall like i was running on ice!

UCS will definitely make it slippery, but aside form that theres no reason you can't use it if you like the way it turns out.

here's a 50/50 shot i took on my lunch break:

 

i'll test the "frictional difference" of both when i'm home. maybe i'll even try a 50:50 mix of SVRT and water sprayed on there

But the UCS doesn't offer any UV protection.

The other problem with UCS is that it's silicon based, which means dirt likes to stick to it.

 

I'll stick to SVRT... Sure it's pricey, but it lasts a LONG time.

If it works for you, do it!

 

The UCS is not as water repellent, if it all, as the SVRT however.

 

Also, UCS is to me about 10x more slick than the SVRT is

i think i'll wait for my next car wash to see how well it actually holds up before applying anything to the entire bed
