steve
Just a newbie. Is putting a second layer of machine super sealant beneficial?
BucketList
Welcome ! I cant say for sure how a second layer would act, but I am pretty sure it would not hurt anything. I would wait until you do the second wipe down of the first coat before applying the second, and dont forget the second wipe down of the second coat. (or the fourth wipe down, or err... well, got lost there for a second)
steve
To clarify. After the first coat has cured for a couple of days would a second layer add any extra protection?
whatevah
Sure, it extends the protection time. And you can top the second layer (after waiting the 12-24hrs for curing, of course) with a coat of wax.

Odds and Ends
I've layered MSS on top of iteself many times and depending on the vehicle's color, the results are fabulous, and, as others have already stated, it will extend the longevitiy. It's very shiny and slick and one of my favorite sealers! Enjoy the shine! - Darryl
whatevah
If I can get the weather to cooperate here, I'll put on 2 coats of MSS (machine super sealant) then a coat or two of BW on my car... after I get the fall detail finished. full clay job, SHR (swirl&haze remover) & FMP (fine machine polish) polishing before the MSS, and intend to clay and GS (glass sealant) the windows, as well. oh, the acronyms weren't converted... fixed

Titantruckguy
Do you always have to put the MSS on after FMP or can I do the BG than Americana?
LDM
Do you always have to put the MSS on after FMP or can I do the BG than Americana? You're fine with just BG then Americana. This is what I do most of the time.
