mrmsmop Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 can i put mss on spots i cant hit with the pc by hand? would a hex applicator be ok to use?
ExpressThis13 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 of course. it might be a little harder to remove due to it not being evenly applied like it is on the PC.
Team Adam's Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 In small areas its fine to apply by hand. I hand apply it to my wheels all the time. Its really not anymore difficult to remove, the problem is more centered around when its applied to large flat panels, specifically on darker colors. The sealant when not applied evenly will look blotchy or streaky on a hood or similar area when applied by hand due to the fact it can't be applied as evenly as with the machine. In tight spots or areas where you can't get a PC pad into applying by hand is fine and those issues don't really show themselves. Use an Americana hex grip, yellow hex grip, or even a microfiber applicator.
Golf for Life Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I will be removing my summer tires and alloys soon for the winter seasons. I plan on applying a coat or two of MSS to them, any tips would be appreciated. Other than a thin even coat?
Team Adam's Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Thats about it... a thin even coat and allow plenty of time for it to cure.
fortplainman Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 yeah i applied it by hand it just took some extra scrubbing on my wheels to get it off afterwards.
