  1. bought the rupes 15, new compounds, and new pads. also snagged the smaller backing plate to run the smaller pads on the porter cable and a tshirt. didnt see the nice button up shirts but no big deal. just hope it gets here with that free ground by friday lol. see what happens when you need more polishing compound, you buy more stuff lol. cleaned the inside though and used the pc on my tailgate, just 1 step orange, 1 step white, and 1 coat of lps. total of 2 fenders and tailgate done, but 2 passes of orange on the hood didnt do it with the 7in PC gen 4 pads and older gen compounds. cant wait for the rupes 15.
  2. Just polishing the truck for the all truck nationals at carlisle. Almost out of the old orange compound so that means I'll have to get both new compounds all new pads and a bigfoot 15 rupes lol
  3. I'm using the pc eight now and probably going to order the rupes tonight my arms are tired from vibrating lol.
  4. What a great day could not have asked for better weather. Trailer is killer and the crew at adams were working hard. Now to enjoy a delmonico's steak.
  5. Nice second chapter. Held that bigfoot 15 rupes over at your adams setup it's very comfy. Very seriously thinking of buying one before carlisle this year.
  6. Yeah I'm sorry but yes they are here in a big way glad the spot is better!
  7. I know the guy from pa is there my dad said but I'll have to investigate he didn't mention the trailer.
  8. It's not at the Syracuse show this weekend. But that's a cool setup.
  9. My dad found them today got the last new bottle of glass cleaner. He is there with the camaro.
  10. yeah had this happen to me too, was kinda curious to see if others were. buying the new clay for dad for the holidays, will have to give it a shot. this is what i ran into with the other clay:
  11. Sucks to see that dylan is leaving, he is the only reason I was introduced to these products.
  12. Awesome writeup! I know on my dads single stage paint it is so thin you can see some areas the primer underneath. Glad to see some depth still in that paint that you could work with and not too thin where all you could use is revive.
  13. perfect, exctly what i needed to see. thanks dylan and john.
  14. For people like me with big trucks, I do not have 2 hours during the work day to do a 2 bucket wash for it to look like that again when I leave the parking lot. a quick rinseless wash after a spraydown (this wasnt sprayed down in the pic) should save me well over an hour.
  15. I see the point to step bumpers on the larger trucks because of the height, but the colorado work truck we have, its short enough to not have to struggle to get in, so I dont see the point of them on here. Personally I would rather have no step bumper for a cleaner look. At least it isnt just like the old gen traverse front end leaked photos though, they were ugly.
  16. ^I use waterless wash to presoak areas like behind the tires, back of mirros, and the front end regardless if its before a wash or not to get bugs off it works great. Got thinking even more about this. I usually every day depending on how bad the truck is or how busy I am at work, but I hose the truck down to get anything off that I can but mainly spray the undercarriage to get the salt off. (sorry to hog the thread)Just driving in this morning this is how my truck looked: I see myself using this product very often since I usually dont have time to do a whole wash and that I need to get another washmit from some grit bumbles in it that dont help prevent swirls.
  17. Just watched the vid. Looks like from what dylan said and typed in here that if you hose down salt to where it isnt very noticable by picture but you can see the haze or the spotting in person, this would be great. Granted im in a shop at work, so I could turn up the heat a bit and wash it normal, but if its not too bad out and it has just a bit of salt this could be easy. Really see this work for a pre show cleaning. When im in carlisle all truck nationals and syracuse nationals, im always looking at the slight splatter of road or just in general just buildup or if im seeing a spot I missed when wiping off americana. Since the show is 3 days, this would come in handy. Fill two buckets up with water and go to town. Side note, would love to get a hoodie or collar Adam's shirt!
  18. Saw on facebook, watched the vid. Love the fact that there isnt any cure time and the ease of application. I know the only reason I used machine super WAX for the first time this summer was because I left it in the shop. Ive had the bottle for 3 years because being a daily driver I couldnt let it cure or had time to do it. I am in the "no product left behind" act, so I will have to use MSW up before getting this.
  19. went to bed after work last night at 10pm, got up at 2:30am to drive to hartford ct for a safety meeting, drove back home, got my winter set of wheels and brough them to the shop to put on next weekend.
