BMW parking lot rash - SAVED

XQIZT

Question

This BMW got some nasty parking lot rash. Using the 4 inch spot pads on a drill and the Porter Cable, plus a final general polishing with the 6 inch pads combined with Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl and Haze Remover and Fine Machine Polish, all blemishes were either removed or had their appearance greatly reduced. Another happy customer and a car saved by Adam's. Eventually, this car is going to need a FULL detail, top to bottom, but right now, the owner just wanted the ugliness dealt with.

Yeah, nice results. For some less aggressive paint transfers, you can get it off even with hand polishing.

Yup. Actually, most of the paint transfer came off with claying. But the scratches needed polish.

very nice! how did they even get a rash there?

He got swiped in a parking lot. The challenge was that the scratches were all on body ridges or on panel edges, so I had to be especially careful using the 4 inch pads on the drill.

Ok yeah I was sitting there wondering how it got so high but also not too low. Good work man, I had one like that that i fixed for my mom a bit ago with the focus pads an a completely uneven panel. Don't think it was as bad as yours though, great work!

Nice save Mike, the owner needs to be more careful where they park. Also needs to see you again for a full detail. Or get the Adams products and enjoy detailing the BMW himself.

I hear ya....he actually parked WAY OUT and still got hit...once he saw how nice the areas came out that I worked on, I could tell he wanted the rest of the car to look that nice. We'll see what he does.
