Cygnus
70 years of Chevrolet speedometer design. Some are good and some I'm wondering what they were thinking.

Doug123
On those horizontal ones you never saw the axis of the pointer - the speedo was a long rectangular box with just the numbers showing.

Marylander
I had no idea the cruze went 220 That would be quite a Cruze! I'm guessing the speedometer was from the euro version that's been on sale for a few years. It's in k/hr.

Cygnus
On those horizontal ones you never saw the axis of the pointer - the speedo was a long rectangular box with just the numbers showing. That's what was visible to you through the faceplate, not the full design of it. Either way, those horizontal speedos are hideous. I think the 69 Camaro is my favorite of them. Has good spacing between everything, added 5 and 1 mph ticks that are distinct, and a good font. The font on a bunch of them is reader friendly. For the sparks speedo, did they steal that off of a washing machine?
