sydtoosic
Hey AF. i currently use a sea sponge to wash my car. is it really safe?
Tim
Natural Sea Sponges can have small shells, sand and a host of other things in them. I wouldn't want to use that on my paint.
mc2hill
I'm with Tim, too much possibility for damaging the paint.

Doug123
And 2 grit guards and 2 buckets for the grit guards. The idea is to not rub the paint with a dirty material, and the grit guards help the wash pads get scrubbed off every time you put them into the bucket. Watch the car washing video to see how they do it.

Doug123
yeah, if you don't scrub off the dirt from the pads, they can swirl up the paint too. If you have black paint, you get paranoid about this kind of stuff.
Chewy
The MF mits I've actually used and do NOT like. They hold onto the dirt too much, and scrub it into the paint. Use either the Adams wash pads or the Merino wool wash mitt. I agree on the natural sponges too. I've actually pulled shells out of them before. Grit guards are great, but I still pre-rinse my pads with the hose before going into bucket #1. Chris
